  • This video is a 1-99 F2P Crafting Guide. It is part of my OSRS F2P skill guides video series and is a quick and easy to follow guide to get you skilling and levelling Crafting effectively in OSRS F2P.
    The guide is Ironman friendly, with specific Ironman hints, tips and advice. Those who can utilise the GE, will definitely have an easier and cheaper experience. This guide starts with a run through of any useful Quests, which in F2P is limited to Sheep Shearer, Goblin Diplomacy and Misthalin Mystery, as well as the optional X Marks the Spot.
    My OSRS F2P Crafting Guide consists of two main methods of training. The first, is the manual or ironman friendly method, that can be undertaken by any account. This is based around in the first instance getting to level 16 crafting and then mining silver in Al'kharid and making unstrung symbols and then once level 23 is attained, switching to tiaras.
    The second is by far the fastest method, but utilises the GE so cannot be done by ironmen. Buying uncut gems and cutting them with a chisel is the fastest way to level crafting in F2P, but it is also expensive and will cost you up to 100 million coins plus. As a slight alternative method, you can buy the materials and craft gold jewellery to level your crafting and make a tidy profit!
    This is one of my OSRS F2P Skill Guides, I’m currently working on an entire series to cover levelling/skilling all of the F2P skills. For any hardcore F2P skillers out there, I would love to get your feedback and any F2P skilling tips you have so that I can include the best possible content in my videos!
    REQUIRMENTS 🔒:
    Method Dependant: 20 mining and 20 smithing are the recommended minimum stats required for the manual (ironman friendly) method. The GE method has no skill requirements.
    ITEMS 🧳:
    Method Dependant: A mithril pickaxe and various moulds and crafting supplies for the manual (ironman friendly) method. The GE methods require a chisel and coins (100 mil), or crafting moulds and coins (1 mil).

    Recently came back to OSRS after many years away. Very useful guide!
    Additional tip.. if crafting gold necklaces from bars purchased on the GE, you can normally make a bit more profit AND exp (in magic) by alching the necklaces you've made during the walk to and from the furnace.

    • @TheLumbridgeKnight
      @TheLumbridgeKnight  10 месяцев назад

      Cheers man 👍 The comments and the feedback are much appreciated 😁😁😁
      Ahh yeah that’s a great tip! HA is something I’ve under utilised in my guides trying to cater for ironmen… Do you think doing guide purely for general players would be worth it?

    • @jordanleejones87
      @jordanleejones87 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@TheLumbridgeKnight No worries!
      I guess it could be if you're able to fill a video of examples of when to utilise it. Even Ironmen accounts could use it after their smithing/crafting grinds. If they've made thousands of gold necklaces from gold they've mined, they get 270gp per necklace per high alch.
      I've been keeping them noted and I'm alching them during Runecraft runs to make the most of the distance. And diamond necklaces alch for like 2200
      I'm sure there's plenty of other examples too

    You could mine gold in the crafting guild, Smith to bars and then make gold necklaces. The sale on GE.

    • @TheLumbridgeKnight
      @TheLumbridgeKnight  10 месяцев назад

      You definitely could! If you want to do it this way I recommend using the deposit box in port sarim as there’s no furnace in the guild and the bank chest is members only! Grind gold exchange buys them for 315 coins so you will get a better price there than the GE, you could alway buy them from the GE and sell them to Grum 😂 need to do a lot of world hops to keep the price decent though!

    Not sure if you're still replying...
    But If I have a gold ring, Can I add a gem too it?
    Or can I only add a gem when I craft it from a gold bar?
    The same way you add talismans to a tiara after crafting the tiara,
    Can that be done for the surplus of gold amulets I have?

    • @TheLumbridgeKnight
      @TheLumbridgeKnight  Год назад

      Yo Name Faust! I do my best to reply these days! 😅 Unfortunately once a ring is cast you can’t use it with a gem to create the combined item 🤔 there might be some member items and quest that allow you to combine items with gold rings like tiaras but nothing in F2P and as far as I’m aware there’s no way to get your ring back into a gold bar either! Hope that helps answer your question man 👍👍👍

    Once you get into the crafting guild wouldn't it be more efficient just to make and fire bowls? They're 33 exp total vs 52.5 but you can mine and wet the clay in the guild, fire the bowls and drop them for a greater exp yield (sacrificing gp)

    • @TheLumbridgeKnight
      @TheLumbridgeKnight  Год назад

      Yo Riley! That’s a very interesting suggestion and something I’ll have to definitely checkout. I would say that the additional step of having to wet the clay combined with the lower Xp per item would probably still make silver faster. Purely because to wet the clay you’ll need to have half inventories of water. If you could just mine a full inventory of wet clay I’d say it would probably be faster, but yeah having to hold half an inventory of water will slow you down. I’ll make a note to give it a go though and see what the rate looks like though 😁👍 Thanks for the awesome comment dude 👌👌👌

    • @rileymosman2808
      @rileymosman2808 Год назад +1

      @@TheLumbridgeKnight I'd love to see a video on that for sure! I think that getting an analysis of XP per hour is always fascinating.
      You could get away with less than a half inventory of buckets, I don't know what combo would be best but you could, for example take 4 buckets and fill them 6 times per inventory of clay.
      You could also fill a small number of buckets, make that number of bowls and then use those bowls to wet more clay (though my gut says that would be slower).

    • @TW-fs3fj
      @TW-fs3fj Год назад +1

      Yes, the trick is to do it like a UIM.
      Bring 9 or 18 bowls of water for your first run there to easily set up this cycle
      >mine clay
      >wet with bowls of water
      >repeat until 18 wet clay and 9 dry are in your inventory
      >turn the wet ones into bowls
      >fill the new bowls with water
      >repeat
      This is a very relaxing method

  • @rileymosman2808
    @rileymosman2808 Год назад +3

    I see you're running on the way from the mine, for efficiency's sake it makes more sense to run to the mine and walk the way back since you use less run energy when you weigh less.

    for an iron man (not ultimate) can get runecrafting and crafting at same time step1:mine silver in crafting guild step2:teleport to falador smelt and craft tiaras step3: bank and grab rune essence step4: run to air altar step5: go back to crafting guild and repeat, as an iron man all u need is law runes+rune essences banked (can get law runes from ogresses)

    • @TheLumbridgeKnight
      @TheLumbridgeKnight  Год назад

      Ahh I see so you need to have mined the rune essences and have enough law runes for teleports in the bank, then follow the steps above. 🤔 What kind of Xp per hour do you get? Cheers for the tip RSNightRogue! 😁
