I wouldn't use quiet mode ever. If it's 3 am and I'm leaving or going somewhere, I'm using track mode exhaust, shifting at 5k, and heel toeing everywhere.
Gerrit Graham downshifting with a manual transmission and you have to dance with the pedals to downshift without destroying the clutch. You press the clutch and jab the gas pedal to make the motor spin faster and release the clutch in a lower gear and the transmission will be slowed down by the motor and because of this, the engine revs up then as you slow down it growls, and it slows you down without using the brakes. It's useful for mountain driving. I'd do it on the streets to make loud noises with this glorious exhaust and coyote.
im not a mustang guy by no means, but when this guy planted his dirty boot on the back side of that seat and got it dirty it REALLY FUCKING BOTHERED ME!!!!!!
The auto is no normal auto. I drove one for a week and was very impressed. Drag mode was insane and thats coming from someone who has only ever had manual sports cars. I had a blast driving it
Mustang has definitely upped its game into the Premium category with all those features. Looking forward to seeing how the Performance Pack 2 performs as well.
The 2018 Mustang GT (460 hp) is awesome. My preferred car was the Dodge Challenger 6.2L Scat Pack UNTIL I drove the '18 Mustang GT. They're both powerful cars, but the '18 Mustang delivers more bang for the buck. Yes, the Scat pack has 25 more hp, but the Ford has line lock, is lighter, sounds just as mean (if not meaner) than the Scat Pack, handles better, and is about $8-10K (Cdn dollars) cheaper than the Scat Pack. Both cars are a lot of fun, but to me the better value is the '18 GT. Feel free to prove me wrong.
I got mine last Saturday. I’ve always been a Chevy guy and never thought I would own a Ford. I must say that I’m pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoy driving it. It has much better features than my 2015 1LE did.
I'm in a similar boat as you. For over the past 30 years I owned nothing but pick up trucks. Then I got a bug and had to have a Mustang. I just bought a new 2017 leftover with V-6 and automatic. I feel like a kid again driving this stupid car. I got it for click below $23,000. I wish Ford kept the V-6's and got rid of the eco-poops.
Just got my 2018 GT Premium yesterday. Was considering the Camaro but ultimately decided against it...the Mustang’s interior is much more attractive and the visibility is better, at least for me. That and the 10speed auto is ridiculously smooth. So, so fun to drive. Also, the Sync3 is the best touch screen system I’ve used.
Too each their own. My 2019 10spd GT is tons of fun. I’d buy an older used vehicle with a manual but the new ones are just so much better with the auto. IMO
Took a trip to California before the coronavirus outbreak and I rented a 2019 Mustang gt premium. It had the 10 speed automatic transmission and I was very surprised how well it actually works. Still alot of fun, even for an automatic.
All newer cars have engine covers, it's ugly I know. My dad's 2013 Toyota tundra TRD has it, and he hates how it has it because he can't see the engine at all to check things. I guess you could say that they do it to keep people from messing with their engine or to protect it.
Some people don’t know how to drive stick and can only drive automatic. I have always wanted a Ford Mustang GT Premium in AUTOMATIC. You still can have plenty fun in a automatic
Watched this review in December of 2018 after ordering mine over here in AUS, this review made me unbelievably excited and since having it I’ve done 14K miles in mine and loved every second of it cheers for the great review
I was thinking of a used M2 or a used M4. Eff, that I am digging the Mustang GT Premium Performance Package 2. The rims are super clean and the magna ride.
Even though I'd go for the manual all day. The 10speed is a beast. 100% understand anyone who gets it. It's the superior transmission. Also the MT82 is kind of balls.
This guy has no idea what he's talking about the 15 through 17 have 435 HP NOT 420 horsepower....and the Camaro SS has 455 horsepower so the 18GT has only 5 more horsepower then the SS😤😤😤😤😤
the Mustang has a modern 5.0 litre 32 valve overhead cam V-8 putting out 92 HP per litre. Camaro has a pushrod V-8 which is old school and only puts out 73 HP per litre. Every other sports car having a V8 has the type of engine the Mustang has. GM still trys to cut corners not using a modern V8.
The 18 GT is actually 496HP crank and 436Whp/400Tq on the dyno...it's very under rated by ford. The 18GT stock is doing the same numbers as a GT350 at the dragstrip.
I have this car with the performance package 1 but it does NOT come standard with the 401a digital Speedometer cluster.....just FYI for anyone who doesn’t know.
Is it like a new swag thing to throw words against "Ecoboost" ? I wonder if he ever drove one Ecoboost before making that statement. Of course GT is the big brother and the best which doesn't mean Ecoboosts aren't fun to drive. They are fun to drive. Cheers to all Mustangs out there !
GivingItToYou Raw great, knowing that has made my life complete, thank you. And it still doesn’t hide the fact that he looks like he should be driving a Kia mini van.
@Matt Boudreau You seem to dedicate a lot of energy towards making outrageous comments about people's appearance, instead of focusing on the information presented. Many studies in human psychology indicate that people act like this due to their own personal insecurities about their own appearance. Let's see a picture of YOU and let's see what car YOU look like you belong in.
I currently own a 2004 WRX and the Project Legacy rallycross car. Those are my daily drivers when I'm not driving a test car -- which is pretty much never. - RD
Nice review, appreciate the editing and the camera perspectives. I'm liking this Kona Blue and the spoiler delete stealth look more and more. Except I'd go 10speed and the GT350 springs for a tighter hug. Then I'm done. :)
My Mode. If you need to know how to set it, go to the mode you want then make changes. In my case i have a 2019 PP2, i set it at Sport + (it's a standard) and i added track exhaust to annoy the neighbors. I have active exhaust. Then hold OK to set My Mode.
Actually, I have the 10 speed automatic and I prefer it to the manual. My other car is a motorcycle, so I know how to shift. And I love my 2018 Mustang GT. Next time I am up for a new car I may get the 350. Or an electric vehicle. Things change so quickly.
You can switch the steering feel in any mode from sport to drag. So idk what your getting at saying you dont have a choice when it switches to sport automatically when you put the car into sport mode.
I recently bought a 2010 GT Premium. These newer Mustangs are getting closer and closer to supercar levels.. They get more and more unaffordable too lol.. Buying one of these is like buying a house.. Maybe wait 10 years and get a used one? By then that 460hp will be a joke... Awesome car
Puff the Magic Dragon nah I mean suck. As in Ford quality, no handling, boring to drive cars unless u like to go from a dead stop to fast as quick as possible without touching the steering wheel
Slap Boogz The gt350r is faster around Leguna Seca than a 458 italia. It's been described as one of the best handling, best value performance cars in sale today. As for quality, fords are better than basically any European brand, most American and about half of their Japanese and Korean competitors.
Rest in peace the handbrake... With so many cars converting to a ducking button as the parking handbrake... One of the few cars that still have this. Thank lord for that
Drive em both, for me it was the Mustang, I found it handled better and more comfortable. The Camaro wasn't as easy to see out of for me, especially the back. I did like the retro gauge cluster better but that's it.
I picked up my Camaro 2SS two weeks ago and I´m very happy with it. I drove the Mustang and the Camaro and for me the Camaro was the better choice. Took it black in black and it looks very mean :) Mustang is still a cool car and I like it, too....but I had to decide and so...
A bit of a stupid question but rather ask then risk it. Since the mustang 2018 has a ground clearence of 145mm and the parking at work has a 100mm step do you think the car will scratch the bottom when i get off of it?
I don't understand why the Mustang has virtually no back seat. I had 66, 67, and 69 Mustangs and they ALL had backseats that adults could use while being smaller than the new Mustang. Someone at Ford please explain this to me. Do you need to go back to design school?
A blue mustang as always been my dream car ever since I was little I loved racing anything with wheels and I hope one day to be able to afford a good racing car. And have the opportunity to learn how to drive manual. Cause if I’m getting a sports car I want a true manual but as of right now an automatic would be easier for me to drive. 😍
I wish instead of dissing Automatic mustangs people would actually give some info instead of just saying "why would you ever do that" considering there is actually a huge advantage in an auto
What exactly does Launch Control do in a Manual equipped Mustang? Does it only limit your RPM’s to whatever you have it set at? I don’t see much more that it could do with a manual transmission.
Shabbir Khambatti My other question is do you think it would be worth it to get a 2018 GT instead of premium so I can save money and just add a digital gauge because I saw that you’re able to add it but it cost two grand not sure how much it cost to install it but maybe I could save money that way or should I just go all out on the 2018 GT premium package because I am looking to put 10 grand down
That car you are testing can't be "just over 40k $" when having to get the 401A to get the new display, active exhaust and track pack alone costs 47k according to the homepage.
Previous version of the coyote engine (15-17) put out 435, not 420. The Camaro puts out 455, so 15hp more. If you are going to call yourself "Driving Sports TV" you need to get that stuff right.
I currently drive a stick. Wanting to upgrade to a gt and an automatic. It's either gonna be a 2014 or a 2018. I just dislike how nascar-y the newer mustangs look. They don't even look like mustangs anymore but that's whatever. Lookin to buy a jet black one. Just gotta figure out which year.
I am intrigued by the new mustang, but I must say that I hate digital tachometers. I don't know if it would be enough to keep me from owning one, but I would much prefer an analog tachometer.
I know I'll get blasted for this, but I would have chosen the 10-speed auto over the stick, based soley on the fatal flaws in the shift forks. That and it's faster.
I want a mustang... black on black wait maybe white. Exhuast, cam, intake and a retune. Anyone know how much power that would make?? 600-650wheel sounds good for a daily mustang
I wouldn't use quiet mode ever. If it's 3 am and I'm leaving or going somewhere, I'm using track mode exhaust, shifting at 5k, and heel toeing everywhere.
I bet your neighbors would have the home association manager on speed dial😄
Zulu Nbuyoke actually 3/4 of the neighbors close to me have loud straight piped Silverado, and ram 1500s with the hemi, and the hemi sounds the best
They should be honored that you bless their ears with such glorious music anyway.
Silverio Arroyo you said that you would heel toe everywhere? What is heel toe? And why would you do it?
Gerrit Graham downshifting with a manual transmission and you have to dance with the pedals to downshift without destroying the clutch. You press the clutch and jab the gas pedal to make the motor spin faster and release the clutch in a lower gear and the transmission will be slowed down by the motor and because of this, the engine revs up then as you slow down it growls, and it slows you down without using the brakes. It's useful for mountain driving. I'd do it on the streets to make loud noises with this glorious exhaust and coyote.
Quiet mode is like that friend that doesn't know how to whisper
I know right? Quiet mode is not very quiet.
Underrated comment.

You’re awesome 😂😂😂😂
LOL….so true 😂 music to my ears
im not a mustang guy by no means, but when this guy planted his dirty boot on the back side of that seat and got it dirty it REALLY FUCKING BOTHERED ME!!!!!!
hah so it`s not just me than
Me too
The auto is no normal auto. I drove one for a week and was very impressed. Drag mode was insane and thats coming from someone who has only ever had manual sports cars. I had a blast driving it
I’m pretty sure the automatic is faster with its 10 speed than the Manuel as well
thumbs down for not even putting the exhaust in Race mode
outrageous
Siegfried Wenzel ikr
I guess they wanted to live
track* but yes
Thats what i was thinking
That’s it dammit. I’m getting one.
Keith Freeman did you get one?
Did you get a mustang?
So... Did you get one?
Did u get one?
Did ever get on
Mustang has definitely upped its game into the Premium category with all those features. Looking forward to seeing how the Performance Pack 2 performs as well.
Alan Bowers H
Mustang blows. Pony trick. Nothing special about this car
crappy drag car and it loses to many in its class. Go Disgustang !!!!
They definitely stepped their game up these Mustangs are way better than a lot of cars in the price range.
maybe the older mustangs were only good for drag racing but these newer ones can corner very well actually.
13 seconds after I bought it that shift chime would never be heard from again
have you had any issues with the car?
The 2018 Mustang GT (460 hp) is awesome. My preferred car was the Dodge Challenger 6.2L Scat Pack UNTIL I drove the '18 Mustang GT. The 392 has a 6.4, lmao

I got mine last Saturday. I’ve always been a Chevy guy and never thought I would own a Ford. I must say that I’m pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoy driving it. It has much better features than my 2015 1LE did.

Your review of this car has been my favorite!
Thanks for watching!
You keep downplaying the automatic but I guarantee the automatic will beat the manual in a quarter-mile race every time
they can and i like manual
Too each their own. My 2019 10spd GT is tons of fun. I’d buy an older used vehicle with a manual but the new ones are just so much better with the auto. IMO
I never understand why people get worked up over this manual or automatic who cares it’s my car I’ll enjoy whatever I want
@@FifaMessi010 its mainly preference
You are correct, the auto is quicker. I enjoy the manual much more than the auto. The manual is quick enough and a lot more fun on curvy roads.
Took a trip to California before the coronavirus outbreak and I rented a 2019 Mustang gt premium. It had the 10 speed automatic transmission and I was very surprised how well it actually works. Still alot of fun, even for an automatic.
MY DREAM CAR😭😭😭😭
The only ugly thing about this car is the engine cover
and the rest of the body
Slap Boogz It's a beauty queen compared to most sports cars at this price point.
All newer cars have engine covers, it's ugly I know. My dad's 2013 Toyota tundra TRD has it, and he hates how it has it because he can't see the engine at all to check things. I guess you could say that they do it to keep people from messing with their engine or to protect it.
What about the ugly down sloped front end?
I removed mine, looks so much better
I am so glad I special ordered my 2018 silver GT, since it was the last year model with a CD player.
Some people don’t know how to drive stick and can only drive automatic. I have always wanted a Ford Mustang GT Premium in AUTOMATIC. You still can have plenty fun in a automatic
you gotta learn brotha
Automatics win races. Drag racing has moved away from the manuals, they get left in the dust by those quick shifting automatics.
Ok? Manual is for fun
Sounds really nice that thing!! Nice scenery!! :)
My favorite review of the Mustang I have seen. Great job!
I was riding in my friend's GT the other day. It was freaking amazing. Super comfortable ride, surprisingly.
Don’t knock 10 speed automatic until you try it it is the bomb

How much did u buy it?
I was thinking of a used M2 or a used M4. Eff, that I am digging the Mustang GT Premium Performance Package 2. The rims are super clean and the magna ride.
The 10 speeds have definitely proven its worth since it was introduced with the 18's
He said 20 more horses than the Camaro,,lol didn’t know 55 from 60 was 20,,
20 metric horses. -RD (J/K)
Made a correction in comments
Or that the last Mustang GT had 420 hp.
Yup. The Mustang GT has had 435hp since 2015. Often good to know your statistics before attempting to do a review.
stopped watching when he said 460hp is 20hp more than 455hp
You forgot to showcase Track Mode with the exhaust.
Even though I'd go for the manual all day. The 10speed is a beast. 100% understand anyone who gets it. It's the superior transmission. Also the MT82 is kind of balls.

I want a 5.0 v8 so bad. For now I’m stuck in my ‘08 4.0 v6. I’ll get one eventually. 😕. Awesome review btw.
This guy looks like he drives a Kia minivan.
He’s sewage, human sewage!!!
He has driven cars that you will never step foot inside of.

Seems fantastic. Really appreciate that Ford didn't compromise visibility on the new Mustang.
"Oh, that must be launch control..... Annnnddd. Go." 😂😂😂😂 that was the greatest thing lmaooo great video
You can switch the steering feel in any mode from sport to drag. So idk what your getting at saying you dont have a choice when it switches to sport automatically when you put the car into sport mode.
"It's a hooligan car." AWESOME
Anyone know the song in the beginning with the guitars?

You can't buy a house for $40 -- $50G and if you did it's going to take $100G to make it livable.
Yeah sure they are. They suck. Crap mobiles
Slap Boogz By suck you mean, exceptional levels of performance for the money and great aftermarket potential. This is a modern day mk 4 supra.
Puff the Magic Dragon nah I mean suck. As in Ford quality, no handling, boring to drive cars unless u like to go from a dead stop to fast as quick as possible without touching the steering wheel

Loved your presentation style in this vid and the music. Great work! Subbed
The automatic is .3 seconds faster to 60mph
That launch control scene is funny, I have to show that part to my 60 year old brother who does not have a cell phone.
very good video
one question - what is the background music that you used?
Great fun video! I'm hoping I can manage to pick up a GT this year.
The digital gauge cluster is an option not standard. I get annoyed when reviews get it wrong on a $2200 option package.
"loads of grip"..... 8:42 fishtails turning at 20mph....smh
GAR Music Duh? I'm not even gonna take this one serious...
Do u even owned a car
@@the_batmobile0.4 Own*
The reason you get the 10 speed is it is a lot faster accelerating manual is 4.5 seconds auto under 4 about 3.8 to 3.9 sec
Very nice car...I like the sound and the facelift. For me it´s hard to decide...Mustang 2018 or Camaro...
Drive em both, for me it was the Mustang, I found it handled better and more comfortable. The Camaro wasn't as easy to see out of for me, especially the back. I did like the retro gauge cluster better but that's it.
Same im thinking of both very hard choice between mustang n camaro
I picked up my Camaro 2SS two weeks ago and I´m very happy with it. I drove the Mustang and the Camaro and for me the Camaro was the better choice. Took it black in black and it looks very mean :) Mustang is still a cool car and I like it, too....but I had to decide and so...
Sep Pel Nice choice, can't go wrong with either one. The refreshed camaro, I'm not so sure about lol.
I have this same car in red, and ❤️ it. It's so fun to hold the manual transmission in 2nd and 3rd😳
I wants this car. Fantastic you can get it here in Scotland now. Already saving up.
How would you know if a full size adult fit in the back seat?
Fantastic review, fantastic car! Makes me want one :-)
I have BF Goodrich Comp 2 A/S W Speed Tires on my 2018 Mustang GT. It has excellent grip immediately without needing to heat up.
A bit of a stupid question but rather ask then risk it. Since the mustang 2018 has a ground clearence of 145mm and the parking at work has a 100mm step do you think the car will scratch the bottom when i get off of it?
Nothing wrong with the auto transmission, with the addition of the paddle shift you get so much more.
I personally test drove and unfortunately I wasn't able to achieve 0-60 under 4 seconds ....I got 4.7
We’re you using a Manual version? Because the 3.9 0-60 is only for the 10 speed auto
Lol my civic gets 4 seconds flat 😂🤣
I don't understand why the Mustang has virtually no back seat. I had 66, 67, and 69 Mustangs and they ALL had backseats that adults could use while being smaller than the new Mustang. Someone at Ford please explain this to me. Do you need to go back to design school?

I personally don’t like manuals
gorgeous piece of art and tech. this is the exact one i want. great video thanks
Nyc video.......i hav a question to ask.......how can we do that thing that u did at last.........
The burnout was with the Linelock feature.
I heard allot of manual guys are actually going for the 10 speed auto. And what is that chime that keeps going off!?
Frodo Swagginns a shifting sound or something. You can turn it off
It's always interesting watching a mustang vid from a non mustang person
mustang has a better interior than a camero or a challenger for sure!
What exactly does Launch Control do in a Manual equipped Mustang? Does it only limit your RPM’s to whatever you have it set at? I don’t see much more that it could do with a manual transmission.
Does FordPass app works on Manual Trans??? I want to remote start the car
Where is track mode for the exhaust?
Hello. Do you know what the song/music is on the end of video? Thanks :)
What are the songs played in this video? I like them!
Okay I keep looking up Ford Mustang gt premium used online and none of them show the 12inch lcd display why is that?
Shabbir Khambatti thank you! Any clue to how much xtra it is?
Shabbir Khambatti My other question is do you think it would be worth it to get a 2018 GT instead of premium so I can save money and just add a digital gauge because I saw that you’re able to add it but it cost two grand not sure how much it cost to install it but maybe I could save money that way or should I just go all out on the 2018 GT premium package because I am looking to put 10 grand down
Shabbir Khambatti thanks for looking out man!
0:14 song ?
Where is exactly in California is this locataion????
Top secret test facility.
Bouquet canyon. It’s between Santa Clarita and palmdale
Is there any option for Right Hand Drive?
Do you not stop for listen the exhaust
Is the line lock option available in Automatic Version ?
Was the rear spoiler deleted ?
do u know if the lsd is torsen or clutch type? (just curious)
That car you are testing can't be "just over 40k $" when having to get the 401A to get the new display, active exhaust and track pack alone costs 47k according to the homepage.
One of the best presenters I've seen great review!
First thing I'd disable is the shift chime, it'll drive me bonkers
Damn this video. Now I gotta go and get myself a Mustang GT.
Previous version of the coyote engine (15-17) put out 435, not 420. The Camaro puts out 455, so 15hp more. If you are going to call yourself "Driving Sports TV" you need to get that stuff right.
How much is this car?
I currently drive a stick. Wanting to upgrade to a gt and an automatic. It's either gonna be a 2014 or a 2018.
I just dislike how nascar-y the newer mustangs look. They don't even look like mustangs anymore but that's whatever. Lookin to buy a jet black one.
Just gotta figure out which year.
would be nice if you could test recent gt 500
I am intrigued by the new mustang, but I must say that I hate digital tachometers. I don't know if it would be enough to keep me from owning one, but I would much prefer an analog tachometer.
They are crap
Me too. It's too much digital crap and will be that much more to replace. Plus I don't like all that extra light at night.
I just test drove a 2018 GT. Before that I didn't know that the digital tach came on the premium only and not the GT itself. So there's hope yet.
I hope to God that that shift chime is defeatable!
It is. Can be disabled in the settings.
Oh good, Thank Heavens!
I feel that the chime is there for first time drivers but that's just me
Why is it that reviews don't show the exhaust note for track mode? Is it the same as Sport+?
Doesn’t sound any different while just revving.
I know I'll get blasted for this, but I would have chosen the 10-speed auto over the stick, based soley on the fatal flaws in the shift forks. That and it's faster.
How tall are you? I’m 6’3”, not sure if would fit in there.
I want a mustang... black on black wait maybe white. Exhuast, cam, intake and a retune. Anyone know how much power that would make?? 600-650wheel sounds good for a daily mustang
Unless you’re a pro driver, invest in track lessons first. GT is plenty fast out the door for anyone without proper training.
You aren’t making 600 wheel without boost😂
Camaro is 455hp and 455 Torque, so the new mustang does not have “20 more hp”
Why are the seat belts in the rear buckled???
We probably had bags strapped in prior to filming.
