I keep my RicohGRII in High Contrast BNW and Like yourself if the scene screams Black and white I shoot it that way. I keep my other camera in color so I can decide later during post. when I'm taking pictures i mostly enjoy taking them with the black and white filter so i can focus the light and composition. I started getting the urge to shoot in colours because people started thinking that i can only take good images in black and white lol. I get that urge to switch it up during the golden hours or if I'm shooting nature!
Taha every other roll I shoot is B&W, my go to is Rollei RPX 100 for 35mm, and if I want more glamourous or richer blacks with as close to Zero grain I use Rollei Ortho25 Plus in 120mm or Ferrania P30 in 35mm.
Good video, including editing. Photos are interesting. I went bw for most of my personal photos from 2012 (if not earlier) to 2021, because it was on film. From real film user experience, it is mostly related to prints and film price. ECN2 expired films were used to be plenty and very cheap. ECN2 chemicals were somewhat available, but C41 Telenal 1L press kit is enough for 30+ rolls over more than one year of usage (this kit used to cost 25 or so USD). C41 films were not expensive either until 2017. For low frame rate it was OK. The most important reason to stay on bw film was, is in the prints. It is much more easy to do bw darkroom prints. Digital BW... deep fog is good call for it and anything with not enough of exposure :)

@Sucofni Sucofni Thanks for the kind words. The video's "b roll" was shot on my Samsung Galaxy S20 in colour then converted to BW in FCPX. My "A camera" in studio is shot on the Panasonic G7. That's it. Do you shoot street as well? Colour, BW or both?
Lately I have been leaning more toward B/W Photography. I find it less distracting and focuses me more on what I'm seeing and what I want my image to convey to my viewer without color.

I try to choose colour or bw at the start of the day. Being digital i want to avoid the flip flopping during the day.
