Guilty Pleasure Tour is a concert tour by American rock musician Meat Loaf in support of his 2011 album Hell in a Handbasket. The tour only visited Australia and New Zealand; more dates were expected to be announced for mainland Europe and North America, but did not eventuate. The show in Sydney was filmed for DVD release. Meat Loaf has said that the name of the tour came from a poll, which named him the number one "guilty pleasure". During the concerts, Meat Loaf announced to his fans that these concerts were to be the "last he ever performed in Australia and New Zealand" and added a thank you to the fans for "38 years of support" for the duration of his career.

Remember it probably looks like he’s struggling a lot more on this song, because Hot Patootie is a very fast song, before Meatloaf no one in the RHS could even sing all the words at that pace. So obviously this song is going to be a hard and exhausting song for him to sing

The band helped cover him as much as they could but he defintely can't hit those notes anymore, kind of sad to see knowing how great he was. To be fair to him, though, his voice was so good when he was in his prime he can still be proud that he was a better singer then 99% of professionals.

    • @codymays9943

@@parallaxspectre Adam Lambert , no matter the voice he has ( now, let's see in 25 years if he's still around) he makes everything he sings look like a parody. Soooo exagerated. That's why I don't like him at all. Make a serius performance man, you are paying tribute to THE BEST. Be humble and let your voice and the music do the talking. You are not the show even if you try looking like a peacock and exagerating moves and poses.

He used a backing track from 2006-2022
Volume of backing track was greatly increased in 2015 as Meat could barely sing
Lowered again in 2021 as he could sing again

As someone who suffers from back pain I can atest to whatever you do, even down to the slightest movement, it hurts! Talking, breathing, even your heart heating can be painful and that pain can sometimes break through even the strongest painkillers (I personally take morphine and sometimes even that isn't strong enough). For this man, this legend, to crank out performances night after night, probably in almost unbearable discomfort, speaks to his dedication not only to his fans but to the craft he so readily excelled in.
Bless you Meat. May your legacy continue even as you rest peacefully.

He has been my favorite artist since I was 9 years old, 26 years ago. That was when I first heard "I Would Do Anything For Love". Everyone else was listening to BSB and I was blasting "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights". He had some hard times and so many health issues but despite it all he really left his mark. I'm so happy I saw him in concert in 2016. His voice wasn't as strong any more but he was still iconic and he put on one helluva show. Rest easy Meat. ❤🦇

Not bad, could have been better if rehearsed better. For his age at least he's not afraid to go through with even the whole song to prove he still has a rockers soul. This shows you he's never forgotten his roots that inspired Bat Outta Hell that was Rocky Horror. And yes in an interview Meat has said it was his Eddie character that inspired his Bat Outta Hell persona.
As of his off key and tone def to the music track. There are other artists that have trouble as well to keep on track with the track, Neil Diamond is doing it and so is Bob Seger.
