- The cast of Rocky Horror Show were out of this world when they performed at Birmingham New Street this afternoon!
If you didn't manage to catch them at the station, here it is 💋
Head over to The Alex and get ready to do the Time Warp again... must end Sat 1 Apr 2023 atgtix.co/3ZsD0v7 Развлечения
“Sorry I missed by train, got stuck in a time warp”.
😂😅😂😂😂😂😢😊
Again! 🤣
Nice 😆😆 👍👍
Ah memories! Thnx!
Best comment!
These performers are having so much fun. An advantage being old, I actually saw TIM CURRY as Dr. Frank N Furter live on stage at the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood in 1974. Absolutely fabulous and mind blowing.
You lucky person! Tim Curry is a force of nature, what a helluva good actor.
I am so jealous.
So lucky! Tim Curry...just no one like him. One time I used him as a challenge question answer for MCI back in the day. The tech said he liked my answer to "Childhood hero." I thought, "Charlie Brown?" "Snoopy?" Nope. Tim Curry. lol I mixed up the questions apparently.
Tim curry is one of the greatest the has ever Been 🙌
I saw it at the Roxy, too. What a show! Tim Curry ❤ What an entrance!
I like Frank’s casual stroll past the group and then hang out in the background.
Almost perfect. Should not have come forward at 1:24, gives the participant game away. Yeah, that's it - Frank just slowly walks across, with wheeled suitcase. Like the classic gorilla meme.
The poor old bird at the start suddenly realising she's in the middle of something bonkers calmly pretending not to notice, picking up her bag and legging it!😂
"Eh, Mavis, you'll not believe what I saw at the train station on the way 'ere..."
Lol
Ha!
We used to go to midnight showings and everyone in the theater would dance to the songs in the aisles...not to age myself or anything 🙂
I was Brad as a part of a midnight Floor Show that would act out the film in front of the screen. We got free admission, private screenings to rehearse, and elaborate costumes. Our Columbia's costume was perfect, as was our FrankenFurter's. Yes, I could dance in high heels.
This still happens, if you know where to go :D. My theatre professor took the whole class out to a midnight showing, and it was wild. So don’t worry about dating yourself, it’s multigenerational.
Me too boss!! I’m 64 years old 😮
Me too, I took my teenage kids and we had a great time. I thought about sitting somewhere else but my kids would be right with me.
AND me! Kansas City, Missouri. "Rocky Horror" was the midnight show! We brought squirt guns, BIC lighters, newspapers ... and did the "Time Warp" in the aisles!
... Tivoli Theater? Was that the name?
My favorite part was Dr. Frank just casually strolling across the performance space.
This never gets old. Before flash mob, I was Frank N Furter at a movie theater in El Paso, Texas in my college years in the 70's. A few of us got together and played each part during the movie. The only person we didn't have was Rif Raf because he chickened out at the last moment. Our Rocky Horror was a friend of one of the ladies who had come to town to visit. He had never seen the movie. He put on some women's underwear with hearts for the part. Brave guy. I got to chase him around the theater and the local news station was there to film. My girlfriend was Magenta. Naturally, we had all the props each showing (water bottles, hot dogs, newspapers, etc.). My fifteen minutes of fame. Good times.
That is so awesome! My English teacher at VA Tech was part of the live crew in the early 80s
I was in highschool when the film came out. The line to the movie was long and many in line were dressed as the characters, they also had boxes with props; toast, toilet paper "great Scott", water guns, news paper and deck of cards.
Back then theaters had stages throughout the movie people in costume would get up dance and sing, especially the time warp. It was fun
Positively sinful! Parading around like a bunch of Kansas City whores. You could never get away with those sorts of hijinx today! (Sadly.) Sounds like good times. Made a few midnight viewings myself in the 70s and 80s.

I watched at the cinema twice, live 4 times (dressed for the occasion), bought it on VHS (twice because I wore it out), DVD and finally on bluray. F***ing awesome.
This has to be the most fun musical to be a part of that was ever written.
The world needs more of this , just good honest fun..pop up shows.
This is not a dance for the young. Only the young at heart. I'm 63 and I will warp with the best of them. Back in 1985, we showed the Rock Horror Picture Show on campus. During this dance sequence we brought the house lights up to 20%. We encouraged the audience to come down towards the stage and warp out. Best night ever.
Being young, I object to your first statement 😂
At Indiana University in the early 1980’s they played the movie every week. Oh the fun we had. ❤
Fabulous!!!! It never gets old, and this is a great rendition!
We had a theatre here in Broward County, Florida that used to show Rocky Horror every Friday night to a packed house , toilet paper and white bread included. What a wonderful life it was
@@glorial1569 And now they'd probably ban it! We really are going rapidly in reverse. (That's what the R is for.)
@@rhodawatkins4516 That is for sure! Florida is just SO bad about anything like this.....sad; really.
Bravo!! Encore! Almost 40 years and still going strong!
I never really got into that show but people do love being entertained and this definitely fits the bill.
Actually, the play's *50* years old, and the film will celebrate its 50th anniversary in a couple of years. Time flies!
Film will be 48 this year. Lol
RHPS will never die...sadly unlike Meatloaf and Charles Grey. RIP
2025 to be exact@@daveandrew6864
Wow….I had a really crappy day. Surfing FB with a scowl on my face THEN SOMEHOW…I stumbled onto this amazing video. Thank you for turning my day around. You all ROCKED THIS. DON’T DREAM IT. BE IT.
I truly love it because the Rocky Horror Show was one of my favorite movies of all times and this group did one awesome job of dancing to the Time Warp thank you for putting a 😁 smile on my face and the best memories of going to midnight madness just to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show and I will always love the movie to the young people be blessed always for what you did to make people remember a time where life was fun at times. ❤❤❤😊
Ahh the decades have passed but my soul has not. I used to do Riff on stage every Friday night for the midnight show after working a 3 to 11 shift. Thank you for keeping it alive.
this is amazing, but the best part? getting surprised at the end when the Frank'n'Furter actually walks into shot - and going back and discovering they were just there in the background the entire time. *shakes head* it's like that thing with the gorilla suit...
Saw them in edinburgh last month, best cast I've seen. all the hecklers in the audience were fabulous great atmosphere, fantastic show, great night out.
That's awesome that people are still performing the show. Here in the States I was Brad in front of the big screen for a short time. Those days were a lot of fun.
@@rickdagrexican7351 its never going to end the amount of kids going with their parents is amazing, including my own daughter who loves it, and amazing you playing Brad 👏
I was also lucky enough to see this cast and production earlier in the year, fantastic and well worth seeing, hecklers and all.
Saw them in Cardiff, the Criminologist was brilliant!
Brilliant if I was there I would have joined in 😂
We saw them perform in Cardiff. It was my daughters first Live Rocky Horror, she's been obsessed since about 4 years old. We had an absolute blast. I thought only Tim Curry could make me cry, I was wrong. Magnificent!
Loved it, rocky horror picture show is one of my favorite movies, loved seeing this.
Simply AMAZING! That was fantastic! Great job everyone and thank you all for taking the time to make and share this video. MADE MY DAY!
Superb, great to see the iconic Time Warp has passed down to a new generation, used to go to midnight showings back in the day, where everyone in the audience participated as their favorite character in dress & spoke or sang that characters lines, made a fantastic night out. Great to see The Rocky Horror picture show has not lost its appeal,
❤❤❤ every weekend at midnight. It was a given. No one even made plans. We “knew” the plans. 😁
LOVED IT!! They did an amazing job and thank you so much for sharing!!
I was gutted to have missed this. I was at New Street station exactly 24 hours earlier. Just got home from seeing the production in Nottingham tonight. Absolutely amazing. Discovered that an arthritic hip and the Time Warp don't mix but I gave it my best shot.
There needs to be more of this. Everywhere!
Well Done!! Bravo!! Loved every second of it. Very energetic and great choreography! Thanks for sharing with us.
Local theater showed this as a midnight movie every Friday and Saturday for a number of years. I've probably seen it at least 100 times.
Bloody brilliant ❤❤
Instant smile on my face the whole time
In the Early 90's we Destroyed a movie theater in Lake Tahoe at a midnight Rocky Horror Picture Show
Hot dogs, water, toast, toilet paper and rice were Flying EVERYPLACE .... What a great time!
other movies your pockets/bag were full of snacks... at RHPS they were full of props!
I really enjoyed seeing this! Y'all are great dancers!
Me who would run to the mob and would also start dancing with themXD🤣🤣🤣
I was in high school and this was the midnight movie I had to spend the night with my best friend so we could go her parents really didn’t have a curfew set it was so cool we never dressed up and got on the stage we just enjoyed the movie. 😊
What's not to like? I miss Meat Loaf. RIP. ❤️
Love it would of joned in, love the show one fav songs
Frank’s just chillin’ for most of it
It's Birmingham New Street, one of the few places he probably CAN just blend into the background! 😁
Last October I was at Goodwill, they were playing Time Warp. I looked around and no one was paying attention, so I 64 started the time warp dance, several women my age joined me. We had a small audience, but we had fun.
They deserved a bigger audience !
I would gladly be late or miss my train for this!
Should be millions of likes, come on people… join me in liking this performance!
When Frank walked past, I yelped out loud. Love that sweet transvestite. 🖤
Really great job guys !!! 😎👍👍👍
That was brilliant! Thank you, guys.
The whole show was brilliant 😊
Oh the British woman in the background near the end, checking the board for her train, but still clapping as they finish. ❤
Great show too.
Amazing rendition of Richard O'Briens Timewarp ..
The best I've seen on RUclips 👍
Greetings from Ireland 🎉
klasse performance. ich liebe die rocky horror picture show, sie fällt nie aus der zeit
Bloody Excellent!
Great rendition of that great song! I was flattered to be offered the role of Magenta in that show in a European production. Such fun!
I'll stop for The Time Warp day or night!
... makes me jump in time and it really feels great
WOW! 😲That was so awwwwwwwwwwwwesome! Thank you for sharing this video....BRAVO!!!! 👏👏👏👏
0:58 is the best.
Ahh this brings back memories 😊
Went to see the live show with Jason Donovan and he was good surprisingly good I was worried it was him because of the cheesy pop music but he excelled
Fabulous! Unfortunately I've never been lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to catch a flash mob. Love them!
Fantastic tap dance.
i saw this exact cast play in london, it was fantastic!!!
Loved it!! For the non-UK people. Birmingham New Street is an old train station that has had one hell of a facelift. Certainly worth putting up with all the construction work that was going on for ages.
Upstairs is fantastic now. Sadly, the train platforms are still like the dungeon of doom.
Brilliant
OH SHE DID NOT JUST TAP DANCE!!! Mad respect.
I love flashmobs! Well done Rocky Horror Show! 😈
I thought flash mobs died off years ago. I've never been happier to be proved wrong.
That was awesome that's all I gotta say.😊😊😊
Saw them in Cardiff Wales recently, fantastic show. laughed loads and danced loads, awesome cast.
Brilliant!!!!!
I want to witness this flash mob in person
Great job. Love flash mobs.
Loved it! What a great walk down memory lane!
"Well we'll be on our way ."🤣 Poor old Brad and Janet .
Top performance from very talented dancers.
awesome group !
When I was younger, I used to do competitive roller skating, and we had a routine we did to this song. Doing the Time Warp dance on roller skates is so much fun, I suggest you try it!
Oh hey, was that Kris Lavercombe? Best Riff-Raff I ever saw, in any of the numerous versions of the show I've seen. 🤩 If you're lucky enough to see him perform, you're in for a treat.
We were lucky enough to have Richard obrien as the narrator in shows in nz a number of years ago.
So much fun
Saw him at Newcastle-upon-Tyne theatre Royal in the 70s plus the original magenta the show was breathtaking
Ahhh I'm so jealous of you both! I'm not quite old enough for seeing him as Riff Raff (I was born in the late 70s) and the first time I saw it was in the 90s. Nothing is quite the same as the OG cast, but Kristian stands out of the people I've seen perform live. The closest I got to him as the Narrator was during the live-streamed version of the show for the 40th anniversary, with Ben Forster as Brad. and smattered with other performers like Ade Edmondson and Tony Head!
@@JustAnotherBuckyLover Ben Forster does one of the best renditions of "Once In A While" (imo).
@@MidwestMike100 Yes, I did enjoy his version, though I never got to see him live.
I saw Jason Donovan playing Frank, though... my God, for someone who grew up fangirling over his music and seeing him on Neighbours, that was a HELL of a shock to the system. 😂
Tony Head was enjoyable as Frank, too, in stark contrast to his role as Giles in Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
There's nothing quite like attending either a late showing of the movie or seeing it performed live, even if they're very different experiences.
Very good! Great work guys. Good thing you weren't performing this in Tennessee. LOL!
God they should have got an ovation! 👏👏👏👏
That was an amazing job. You all really showed out.❤❤❤
Love it!!!
Awesome! Loved how some dowdy old lady was chatting away in the background like she was oblivious to the world. What a fun song!
Ah, the memories. Thank you so much for this. I remember going to see the show at the Loft Theater in Tucson starting back in maybe 1974. Audience participation and the lot. We are in college and it was always a great time. I believe although the theater has moved it still does the show. As I type this I looked them up and they are showing it tomorrow! Be there - the LOFT - Tucson, Arizona.
In my misspent youth, I performed live cast at the midnight showings as Columbia and Magenta ❤😂❤ Great time❤
So cool...Great job..❤
Back in the very old days, at the midnight shows, i was always a nutrino. ❤❤❤
Wonderful! But I am a bit bummed that no one in the "audience" joined in.
Loved it. I had to watch it twice because the first time when the boy with the grey jumper joined in he distracted me from the ensemble's performance. He's yummy and gives everything to it. The energy and enthusiasm... I hope he'll become famous.
Gorgeous!!! Wonderful!!! We need another time walk!!! Especially the "pelvic thrust"!!!
Absolutely fantastic ❤
Birmingham New Street has always had the best musical production numbers in all of the stations and terminals in Brit Rail!
Isso é sensacional. Apresentou ao público um show histórico.
Love it! Keep doing what you love doing .
Classic! Great sining and dance choreography.
Fantastic
Magenta is stunning in this. I'm loving her costume, hair, and makeup SO much!
As good as it gets.. Great Job!!
You are amazing... I loved you all!
So fun!
EXCELLENT!!!!!!!
I love Rocky!!
Awesome ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My all time favourite.
Thanks guys love it love it
Absolutely brilliant ... so infectious wow
