I am glad to see down to earth Americans discovering and appreciating the Mexican culture. I liked your video and I am sending a link to my Mexican friends!! Good Job!
Loved the video. Going in April and was thinking of this tour and now that I have actually seen it here on your site, we are looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing.
Great Vid I am from Mexico City.with your video i had a lot of memories specially from La Merced Mercado My Mom used go take me g here and True!!food is delicious!!Thanks!!Goats!😃
You're really bold to entry at Merced Market obviously idea have a tourist guide You tasted only a few dishes from Mexico but were traditionals and good choices! Are too many dishes waiting for you in Mexico We hope have you back soon in our huge republic!!!
You guys did an awesome job with this culinary tour of our Mercado de la Merced. I am a native living in LA and I haven't visited some of the spots you have featured. Kudos to you!! Welcome to our homeland!
It looks like you guys are having a great time in Mexico with all them flavors of food etc. this makes me want to come to Mexico and try all that good food
Hi there, I too film natural sight and sound gopro walks in soulful cities, and I'm a real lover of watching such things, so it's great to see your interesting and absorbing video, as I've never been and would like to one day (I've just filmed a walk of Cozumel amongst others, if you'd like to see that in return?) I really enjoyed traveling with you a while. Thanks for sharing. I've subscribed.
Nice video another intersting market is "mercado de jamaica" there is a metro station that takes you there, specially known for his flowers market a place to chose a gift for ladies, the market opens all day and all night long though not all the lots are open at night, many of them offers a very low price on flowers example 1$ peso each red rose at late night
Great tour, very interesting...a little fast sometimes through the stalls in the Merced Mkt but it looked so huge I guess you had to hurry. All I really got to see was a blur but it was fun and interesting, thanks.
im now living in GA but as a kid that was were i walked every day even if i dint had no money to buy or things to buy it was just fun to walk true the hallways and try thing haha i could literally wall every were and get full by just trying things lovely memories!
Rodrigo. Mexico's cuisine recently won the honor of being declared a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Tim Johnson, the Mexico bureau chief for McClatchy Newspapers
When guys whistle, Mexican people call it coquetiando . Teasing the girls to try to get their attention. Most of the guys are just playing around but therebare some that take it too far.
Great video. Food is everything. But don't hide the reality. Was it the corridor of terror? Anyway, show that sort of thing next time. We need to see how people live if we're to get a better understanding. And slow down a bit. I'd rather see a slow moment of all of it than a fast forward that I can't make sense of. And, oh, yes I did subscribe!!
Hi! This is The Merced neighborhood, southeast of the Zócalo in the Centro Histórico. You can find the actual tour here: eatmexico.com/tour/mexico-city/
Great video but I wouldn't recommend that tourists visit la merced market. It's really not safe at all. Many tourists get robbed there and there are many prostitutes in the market too. There are other smaller, nicer and safer markets in Mexico City.
Goats On The Road nevertheless the comment above is correct. La Merced is far too dangerous for solo tourists. You are ok with a group and a guide. I went by myself and was choked and robbed and left on the street unconcious.
I just got back from Mexico City and I had several people tell me that as well. We ended up going to a market by the Frida Khalo house and it seemed just as nice.
Goats On The Road I love you chavos!! you really rock and proved that we really welcome with open arms to anybody that came to visit our beautiful country. . . Thanks for your trust! ! :) P.S. You really have to visit every state of México, you'll find a lot of different food everywhere you go there, visit la Marquesa, Peña de Bernal, etc. Greetings from a mexicana living in Wisconsin
I really wish folks would simply video the marketplace or whatever it is. Westerners all want to be TV travel show hosts. instead of hearing the sounds of the city and people and enjoying the scenery, we have to listen and watch two talking heads explain everything they video. Like ten out of ten videos are this way. Worse then a realtor explaining everything non stop while viewing a house for sale.
DARK ROCKET not even close. want the list? 1 Tokyo, Japan 37,833,000 2 Delhi, India 24,953,000 3 Shanghai, China 22,991,000 4 Mexico City, Mexico 20,843,000
suspect Try a google search of "world's most populous cities" and see what pops up. Mexico City is nowhere near the most populated city in the world. But you are right: this source has it even FARTHER down the list: www.worldatlas.com/citypops.htm
You thought the whistling was funny? try living with that everyday, you don't need to be blonde or a tourist, you just need to be a woman, real problem in here. I enjoyed the video and understand the fascination with the food, but La Merced is actually an awful place full of crime and prostitution, including a lot of underaged girls
Greetings to all from mexico

Great video didn't know Mexico was that good
Mexico is far better than anything we could depict in a video. It's on of our favourite places on Earth for sure!
Rodrigo. Mexico's cuisine recently won the honor of being declared a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Tim Johnson, the Mexico bureau chief for McClatchy Newspapers

Hello,
Nice video! Makes me very hungry. Did you film with Gopro and Feiyu gimbal ? :)

I know this video is 2 years old but I want to ask if you had the chance to go back to Mexico City would you go back to visit?
100% yes. In fact, I'm sure we'll be back there soon. We love Mexico and the city is beautiful.

How much did you guys weigh at the end of your trip. What was your BMI ?
I laughed at all that whistling I bet those men don't see a tall gorgeous blond everyday, I like your attitude towards street food vendors
+Alberto HaMizrahí Are you hitting on my wife alberto? haha. It was funny! Dariece will be happy to read this comment :) She's a knockout!
naaa, they just try to be funny to the girls, btw this is the most simple way to know mexican life easy and fast style
Alberto HaMizrahí Mexico is a nationality so you got pale to tan people.
When guys whistle, Mexican people call it coquetiando . Teasing the girls to try to get their attention. Most of the guys are just playing around but therebare some that take it too far.
the whistle is part. of the culture in some places here. they only try to me you happy day.
You are so brave going into Metro!!
Damn that thing he ate with the cheese all over it (started with an H) look good as hell. Still can't believe they ate crickets...
Frckin Angel it's a "huarache"

Jse Chavero jaja really dangerous but most at night..
Fake news. a soon the people know you are tourist. They will protect you!
Bruh! What stabilizer are you using?
We were using the Feiyu Tech Gimbal with GoPro attached.
Great video. Food is everything. But don't hide the reality. Was it the corridor of terror? Anyway, show that sort of thing next time. La merced,
That market host more 1 million people day by day
Grew up buying fireworks and candy from La Merced.
I'm bilingiual. ¡Hola! but yeah. I'm mexican-american.
Where is this market
Hi! This is The Merced neighborhood, southeast of the Zócalo in the Centro Histórico. You can find the actual tour here: eatmexico.com/tour/mexico-city/
your translation its bad in the beginning you write that Tlacoyos are fried and its a lie we even can see coming out the grill but not fried
910
grasshoppers :p
music is dubbed way to loud, otherwise good video
OK thank you
Great video but I wouldn't recommend that tourists visit la merced market. It's really not safe at all. Many tourists get robbed there and there are many prostitutes in the market too. There are other smaller, nicer and safer markets in Mexico City.
We felt completely safe in the market and it was nice to explore somewhere more off-track. We also had a guide.
Goats On The Road nevertheless the comment above is correct. La Merced is far too dangerous for solo tourists. You are ok with a group and a guide. I went by myself and was choked and robbed and left on the street unconcious.

Delicious food...but not the most populous city on Earth. Not even close.
Lol yes it is
DARK ROCKET not even close. want the list?

2 Delhi, India 24,953,000
3 Shanghai, China 22,991,000
4 Mexico City, Mexico 20,843,000
DARK ROCKET stop whacking off and investigate facts before posting, fuckwit.
+Marbles McGee Where did you get that info from? its wrong
suspect
Try a google search of "world's most populous cities" and see what pops up.
Mexico City is nowhere near the most populated city in the world.

it's bees. honey bees

whistiling for a green card.
"whistiling"
You are so rude!
Ay que feo los hombres chiflando as Dariece.... I am so embarrassed. One time they did that to me and my grandma cussed them out 😔
Hahah.. I had to google translate "chiflando". Yes, they were whistling but she deserves it 😀 Good on your grandma though!
