    In death,it is white dwarf

    • @BluenishThePlanet
      @BluenishThePlanet  3 месяца назад

      Actually no. Since betelgeuse is an O type star, they'll collapse into a quasi star

    • @vladtepes4526
      @vladtepes4526 2 месяца назад

      Betelgeuse's core is too massive for a white dwarf although not massive enough to become a black hole. Betelgeuse should become a neutron star.

    Wait Betelgeuse is blue star?
    Isn’t red 💀

    • @BluenishThePlanet
      @BluenishThePlanet  5 месяцев назад

      Betelgeuse is an O type star, meaning they was a blue star for some time. They are a red star now because they are facing the super giant phase

    • @vladtepes4526
      @vladtepes4526 2 месяца назад

      It was a blue O9V star on main sequence about a million years ago. When hydrogen in its core was exhausted it expanded and became a red supergiant.
