FIXED!!!! I’ve had this problem since the day I bought my apu. When it’s hot outside my hvac breaker trips when I try to run the ac. I just changed the power capacitor in the apu housing. it’s down on the bottom next to the oil pan and filter. It’s a silver cylinder with 2 wires. It cost just over $100 for the part. My ac is working better than ever on a hot day. I hope this helps some of you out. This has been a nightmare.
It depends. On all of these APU's there is a password setting for operating the system for total control adjustment. On freightliners the shop I.T./Mechnaic has the password set by the company that they do not give out for total menu control by the drivers. I just called my dispatcher about this same issue you are having here and this senior dispatcher let it out that the shop can control the total/overall menu settings for full operation. ALL of these Carrier Units do it religiously. Not bad for 15,000 bucks on a 145,000 dollar truck. My 4-bdrm house has a 4-ton air handler unit and every room every bathroom Florida room huge open living room...and was under 10,000 for the entire 4-ton unit. No problems. Not one month into this truck (brand new, less than 240 miles) and all equipment brand new...I have the exact same circuit breaker issue and reset issue. Not bad at all. Can't wait for more forward thinking closet meme's try to conquer the world with no answers, anywhere, for the product they build. Not bad at all for 15,000 bucks.
I think what is going on is after awhile the ac will work then this issue starts. I think the company is doing it through cyberspace to get the trucker to get out of the truck to move around.

Where did you find the new capacitor? Do you have a part # by chance?.... Mine just started doing this today!
I have the same issue, please share the info where to get the parts. Thankyou!
