You're the first one i've seen that took the front cover and seat off on the new outlanders. I really like how they thought of maintenance and upped the fit and finish on them. Also that little suzuki will last the apocalypses. Love those super simple machines just as much as the higher HP plush machines. Congrats on them.
Thanks brother, I try to be detailed and still forget stuff a lot of times lol Its been a while since I’ve uploaded lol. Yea we had been planning to upgrade one of the Recons and the old Kodiak 400 and finally did for our older boys after selling them. It’s a very solid effort from can am to approach Japanese fit and finish for sure. That little 400 KQ is a simple little tank . The comfort on that 500 outty is really nice , the seat is super soft . Did a full service on the X3 and have a ride booked in June . Stay safe bud !
My dad has the KINGQUAD 400 asi in red and black and it has been a beauty! It’s never been stuck, even after all of our wheeling, as a matter of fact, we have abused the ceap out of it. It’s on had one problem right after we bought it which was the fan not working. The dealership did fix it with no issue! It’s been and off-road rig, tow rig, farm rig, race rig… and has never disappointed. I couldn’t be happier driving it. The new can-ams are nice but when I get me a quad, it’ll have to be a Suzuki king quad 400 or 750.
That’s awesome ! I had a 750 KQ you can’t beat the build quality . The parts guy at the dealer ( same place I got the 750 at ) told me they didn’t Even keep some parts for the 400 in stock because they never had anyone needing them lol. It’s a super nice well built mid size . I do wish it had a softer seat lol. Thanks !
@@joekearney 😂😂 “they didn’t keep the parts because they never needed them”. Love it! The seats definitely could be softer(!) anyways thanks for your reply!
I've been renting ATVs for trail riding about twice a year for few years, I'm now getting ready to purchase one. I pretty much narrowed it down to Outlander. Your simple show-n-tell and taking the access panels off convinced me even more. Thanks Joe!
Awesome ! You’re welcome man, that’s why I enjoy piddling around with my channel is talking with people about powersports ! They did a great job on them , I like it a lot , honestly the only thing I like about my 1000R outlander more is the sound and power . The 500 outty is super comfy , especially the seat , quiet drivetrain compared to its bigger brothers, and Japanese quality bushings etc . Sealed compressed instead of zerks everywhere like my 1k….grab it up and enjoy !
Thanks bud but it’s not like that for me . I don’t have any bad habits that I waste money on whatsoever and live humbly brother . It’s the only thing I spend my money on . And the wife’s haha. I always tell people if you’re really wanting something particular you’ll sacrifice other things to get it or do it.
@@robertd6925 This 500 Outlander and the 2023 1000R is the first Can Am ATVs I’ve had , but not first SxS . Had a Maverick Trail 1000R in 2020. The 1000 popped a fuel pump fuse the second day I had it home , replaced it and it hasn’t done it since thankfully.

After it’s first hiccup ..(fuel pump fuse popped right after getting it home ) it’s been mostly fine . I don’t like the fuel system design with the vapor filter etc …it builds pressure whistles etc. Unfortunately I got one with a rear differential casting that’s loud with the whirring noise like many report . A few here and there don’t do it , but many do . It’d an absolute atrociously bad fuel hog as well. Poking around the woods today with my boys 19 miles used half a tank by the gauge . Which in reality is prolly more like a 1/3 but still . Outside of that it’s comfortable, obviously as you know super fast and nothing else has malfunctioned yet bud .
@@heavysnow8616 To be honest man I don’t know …I know the dealer well and he said they did do it sometimes when new . There’s 2-3 spares under the front cowling so I just swapped it and it hasn’t blown again since thankfully .
