    I’ve got a 2008 king quad 750 myself. 7200 miles, still original belt. On 4th set of tires. Only routine maintenance other than replacing cv shafts on all 4 corners and I would still call that routine on a machine this old. Still starts and runs great. Plenty of power , easily does 65 mph if you want to go that fast. Tons of low end power and I love the 4x4 system as well. Even with stock tires, plenty of ground clearance. I have slightly more aggressive tired than stock but stuck with stock size. I’d recommend it for anyone looking to buy one, new or used. They will last a long time.

I had a buddy moving to Alaska and he needed an ATV so I sold him my OD Green 2020 750KQ. Well yesterday I bought a new 2023 Camo SE. I am adding a few things and I am pumped. TOTALLY underrated machine which is fine with me because they currently have a $1000 rebate.

    I couldn’t agree more with the idea of KQ’s being under rated.
    One thing I love about this machine is the clutch engagement. I use it for working around my property and when you have a trailer loaded with stuff it’s easier to keep it on the trailer with the smooth clutch engagement. I had a Brute Force and the power is fun but the clutch engagement and fighting with the shifter can be infinitely frustrating.
    Another great video.

    We bought two Suzuki King Quad 750's this year. So far love em both. We have now rode enough on them to know them and have our opinions much more so than when we first got them. Can't wait to see your shoot out, as the Grizzly was also very high on our list. Of course now the Grizzly's are fully in stock everywhere by us, when we were looking they were a hard find. Overall we know which quad will win, it will be pretty darn close though. The shootout will be close enough to where either quad would be a great choice, I feel riding style will also play a small part in which quad would work better for someone.

    Great and informative video. I have a 2020 KQ 750 SE and absolutely love it. For the kind of riding I like to do, the suspension works very well. I upgraded the tires to the Maxxis Zilla for better traction and a stronger tire. At 5'7, I prefer the handlebar setup as it is and haven't noticed any downsides to it. As for reliability, other than standard preventative maintenance, I have not had to have anything repaired or replaced.

    The kingquad is a beast! All the new updates make it truely indestructible and the new clutching gives it snap! Highest quality and most durable machine on the market!
    My old 2013 500 kq was great! 4K miles and only one broken axle and a water pump seal (both after 3k miles). It’s been jumped, in the mud, wheelies and rolled hard with still great quality! It’s the performance and reliability that is for me! And your damn right the quadratic cvt is great! Filled my clutched with mud and they still hook and pulled with the water in the clutch box. Diffs are also great (looking at you can am). Had a long ride with mud in the diff and still rides great with little wear. The tires also are pretty good. I wore mine down to the carcass then went to bear claws.
    Over all I love the kq! Suzuki has done some great stuff! Would love a twin though.

    I get the Suzuki/Kawasaki snappy power, which is great compared to a Grizzly overall, and had an 18 Brute. Grizzly is a lot smoother power. But now having a Grizzly, and being able to rip the woods, and very spirited rocky sections, the Grizzly suspension soaks up almost everything and the power is not lacking. Before the Grizzly, I have never been able to ride a day with a quad and not have some back/neck pain at the end of the day. Now that the Suzuki/Kawasaki are priced similarly as the Grizzly, I can't see myself ever not picking the Grizzly.

    Everything you've stated is absolutely true. I lived my 2018 KQ 750. Well, until I put 26" radials on it. Then it was a brutal ride and the big horn tread style made it waaaay too grippy and oversteer became an issue.
    Those 489's aren't fantastic, maybe 2000km (1200m) and are pricey when replacing. So anyone looking at a tire upgrade, go 26" bias with a similar 489 pattern. Do not get big horns style tread.

I now have a 2020 Honda Rubicon 520 DCT Deluxe but within the next 12 months I'm going to add another quad to the mix so I'll have 2 total at the point as I'm planning on keeping the Rubicon long term. Most likely going to go with the Grizzly 700 but I'm trying to do some research on how deep you can take these machines stock. I'm not looking to swamp them but on my 2011 Grizz 700 I could go as deep as I wanted to and never had a problem. i've already basically completely submerged my Rubicon and it didn't skip a beat. My 2018 Sportsman 850 SP couldn't go much deeper than over the floorboards without the belt slipping so this is extremely important to me. I've heard they relocated the airbox on the newer Grizzlies (2020-2023) so I'd love to know if it can't still go as deep. Sorry for the long rant lol. Love your content man.

I don't care for the wet wet disk brakes since the are mechanically cable controlled. They say they are maintenance free but you do have to adjust them tighter every now and then. I would much rather have hydraulic rear disks like the Grizzly has and just replace the pads when needed.

I had to cut a lot out cause I didn’t realize the SD card would fill so fast in 4K lol. I wasn’t able to film the rough rocky steep stuff i went through. The last 4 mins of what clips I was able to use from Moccasin Gap mountain trails I discussed what I thought and It was rough terrain . Standing your arms will get tired cause of the slope on the bars for sure . Still needs about 25% more PS assist and spacers , or at least offset rims for a little more stability and maybe some Elka shocks . Again though i was riding pretty aggressive off film in some rough Rocky Mountain trails. After owning both , overall ride ergonomics and handling I give to the grizzly very narrowly . CVTS Are basically a draw . Power narrowly to the KQ, with low end clutch response better on the grizzly. Fit and finish and overall quality goes to the KQ 750.

    It's a great trail quad. I think the suspension is geared for work so less diving when pulling a trailer or work attachments. The stock tires worked great in the snow IMO, and the 2 ply rating softened the trail bumps. I went to kenda bear claw HTRs and its definitly rougher for it, running 4 PSI in the tires helped a bit, but I usually ride alone so I needed a tire that would take more abuse/surprises better. The conns would be no front bumper, hard to yank the machine over when you get stuck as the fronts all plastic, but that can be fixed to a after market bumper. And you nailed it with the storage, it's definitly miseleading with how it looks on the outside.

The outter sleeve of the air filter is supposed to be oiled, mine wasn't from factory but I ended up putting a unit filter in anyway. Also note that when reading engine oil level its done with the dipstick touching the threads, not threaded all the way in like you would think, Also suzuki wants you to tighetn the engine oil filter WAY TOO TIGHT, I do it by hand with a rubber glove on for better grip. Honestly, even though I'm not a huge fan of the bars, it doesn't bother me so much that I'd feel the need to change them... But if you were too, I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard. As long as the bar bend fit the pod and was 7/8 diameter, it would just be a matter of swapping the controls. Finding the right bar bend that cleared the pod and felt good would be the hardest part. All I'm planning on doing is adding a bumper to protect the front end and roll with it for awhile.

    • @DirtObseXXion

      No I wouldn't say it's bad, it's just not as good as the Grizzly.. The Grizzly powersteering is by far the best on the market in my opinion.. The KQ is very good, better than the Brute Force or the Outlanders but it just wasn't on par with the Grizzly.. I own the KQ tho, and I'm very happy with it..

    I concur. It does irk me a little that you don’t like the bars or storage. Most people are going to add storage but how much extra stuff do you need to go for a ride anyway? The bars are also adjustable. The one thing that always comes up is power. There are few times on a trail when power will make much of a difference. If drag racing is your thing, more power to you. Lastly, the tires do suck. No sidewall strength and the tread goes away fast. 27” m2 Evil radials makes it a different machine.

    • @DirtObseXXion
      @DirtObseXXion  2 года назад

      Sure, like I said bars will be personal preference and the storage isn't a huge issue at all but it's not as good as a lot of other ATVs albeit better than some. Tread will always wear fast with bias ply tires but I don't personally like the loss of handling and extra weight from radials. These are all just personal opinions and preferences though.. There are no wrong answers when it comes down to what you like. Overall it's a great ATV, that's what's important..

    Probably the best built big bore on the market today.The stock air filters need junked on the king quads though the paper element breaks down over time and can cause problems .Also wish they would raise the cvt exhaust a lil higher if you go over racks deep ya might get water in the belt .Both are cheap easy problems to fix .As for the grizzlys we have a few new ones in are group they really need to use better plastic on there footboards .my 140 pound buddy put his foot right threw his .And the other guy in are group with one is all cracked to hell.There is no steel underneath them at all for supports.They also seem to stall a lot when in water heard there is some type of air box issue in the new ones .Just my experience with both .id 100 percent pick the King from my experience watching both in action over the years there owners seem more satisfied.After am done with my mud pro I will have one in the garage myself.Thanks for the reviews

    Interesting to hear you like the power steering; that is my biggest hesitation about getting a king quad because I’ve read comments saying the EPS isn’t very good and coincidentally just watched an owner review yesterday of a ‘22 KQ compared to his son’s can am 650 say that the EPS on the king quad was terrible and was his biggest complaint , namely lack of assist . He said you almost can’t feel that it has power steering compared to previous non power steering quads he owned and was way inferior to the can am . I’m very much looking forward your grizz vs KQ vid .

    • @DirtObseXXion
      @DirtObseXXion  2 года назад +1

      Power steering feel is definitely going to be personal preference.. I feel much more assistance on a KingQuad than a CanAm but I've only been on 1000cc CanAms. Some machines have far too much assistance like Polaris which is why they added the multi-select.. I'd say the Suzuki powersteering is very similar to the EPS on a Honda Rubicon. It is less assistance than certain others, but to say you don't feel it is way off the mark... It's firm at first and gets easier the further into the steer you get. I like it because the machine tracks very predictably.. EPS makes some other machines feel twitchy..

      Coming from an Outlander and sport quads with Precision Stabilizers I LOVE the feel of the KQ’s steering. It’s firm enough at all speeds that when you do hit that stray tree root or rock that you never realize it in the bars but easy enough that you never get arm pump

    I had 2019 Suzuki king quad 750 se in the bronze. The engine was very powerful for a single cylinder. I didn’t keep the machine very long. Maybe I didn’t give it a fair shake. My dislikes were the factory tires, engine noise and heat, and the power steering. Those Carlisle tires stretch and feel very unstable at speed. And after paying more to get the SE, the power steering felt like it wasn’t there. I traded it for a Grizzly. The power steering on the grizzly has way more input. Even turning on concrete with one hand it works way better. But I will say that Suzuki felt more powerful and would go 69 mph before hitting the limiter.

      I love mostly everything about my ‘23 Kingquad 750 AXi but yeah I will agree with you about the engine noise. From the lot mine has always had a “knocking” noise when under load and the exhaust baffle squeaks when revving most noticeably when it hasn’t warmed up yet. Every video clip I’ve listened to of a KQ, they’ve all sounded like that so I’m not worried. It’s been a stout machine so far.

    I did some research, check with Dalton Clutches on their upgrade offerings, and it would seem that in 2019 the KQ got spring and weight upgrades to the point where Dalton doesn't offer clutch kits for them, nor the Grizzly. My 2007 has their High Altitude kits and it's great. I'm excited to ride both a Grizzly and a newer KQ and see the comparison. Even though Griz wins it with that warranty.

      The KQ clutching is pretty good, definitely snappier than the Grizzly which makes it feel faster especially when the Grizzly has the Zillas on it.. I like the wet clutches for their reliability but they definitely give up some of the pop that a CanAm would have

We’re those the regular bearclaws or the HTR because I have been reading a lot of positive reviews about the HTRs as a good all terrain tire replacement for the Zella’s. If you don’t like them what all terrain tire would you suggest that would fit on the stock 14 grizzly rims?

    • @DirtObseXXion

    I almost bought the KQ but ended up with the grizzly .. my neighbour has the king quad and we switch it up a lot and I think I made the right decision getting the grizzly.. I think it’s better in every way but it is very very close .. the fit and finish is better on the KQ though but not by much but I don’t like the cv intake set up on the KQ . Seat comfort def goes to grizzly , led lights, more suspension travel, arched a arms,better powersteering, ,better storage , and for me the grizzly looks better ..With that said I believe these are the two best bikes on the market and the closest in comparison out there and either one of these quads would be a great choice but at the end of the day it’s still the grizzly for me but the Suzuki is catching up quick.. love this channel and all the content you guys put out .Love the honesty in you guys .. keep up the good work huge fan
