Hi so i just attempted to install 2” extended shackles, i lifted the car until the rear tires were off the ground. I then removed the old shackles and attempted to install the new extended ones but it was very hard to bring the leaf spring down far enough for the two bolts to go in. Is it because i jacked the car to high, causing the rear shocks to max out, therefore having no room to move the leaf spring down any further? I’d also like to note that i did not remove the tire like you did. Thanks in advanced.

It's been a whole, I think I used small jack to help.. I had to play with it for a bit as well to be able to install.

Did you use a floor jack to lift the differential up or down? I have a 2” shackle set for my Colorado

As far as I remember I didn't have to use it at all, just had there in case I needed. I would suggest to put under spring/axle section and see if you need to go up or down

Changing the Spring Leaf itself on the gas Tank Side is very difficult , do you know how to do it ?
Do we have to bring down the Gas Tank first ? Because the bolt has no clearance at all to get out on
    that side .
    Thank you .

Hi, should I wait to tighten the bolts all the way until after the truck is back on its wheels?

Is it necessary to remove the tire or is it just easier? Is the added weight on the axle a problem?

I don't think you need to remove tire - bit it definitely gives you a bit more space to work within

Did you just crank the torsion bars on the front end?

I installed extended because of my rear went up after installing High Clearance Leaf Spring Bolt Plate (see video here:

No good for your transfer case on my second one because of the shackles pool the drive shaft out of your transfer case😂

Hmm, the front leafs fixed position should prevent that movement... how do you know it's shackles caused it?

If you have a lift, get shackles. Period.
