2:42 "I have 24 sheep left on this goat"
As we all know, 1 goat consists of 100 sheep. This high density stems from the huge pressure of one tectonic plate pressing down on another...

Grubby, it is such a pleasure to watch you learn such a classic game. Especially after watching both you and theViper for as long as I have. I hope you enjoy your time with AOE2!

Dude I'm really happy you guys are doing this, I'm so hyped about Grubbs trying Aoe2 I can't help but to check the channel everyday in the hopes there is a new upload and RUclips hasn't notified me (that'd be utterly unexpected right?). It's actually for both; Viper doing wc3 too. This is like a godsend of my two favourite streamers of all time getting together to conquer the world.
    Keep it up guys.

This is amazing for anyone trying to learn aoe2. When a top level player makes a video explaining how to play the game, he usually explain for players that, well, don't know the basic, so he don't mention advances details. Here, on the Other hand, Viper is explaining how to play the game to Grubby, a guy that have the skills to become an aoe2 pro player in a really short time, but he is missing just some practice to learn some basic mechanics/civ stuff/etc. Long story short, Viper is explaining not how to play, but how to play like a pro, to a guy that, well, have what it takes to be a pro.
Thank you to both of you, you legends!

and the other way around! the same thing is happening with grubby explaining to viper how to play like a pro on WC3... except grubby can be kinda.. not so good to explain some times XD, but Viper gets it, that's what matter lol

I love Grubby's questions as well, curious to see if you can get new insights out of this that you can actually incorporate in your own play.

14:06 There are no civs that have unpacking buildings? - There are no normal civs that have unpacking buildings. But there are some game modes/maps that have alternate starting conditions.
The most common start is like this with a town center and some vills. And the next most common ones are 'nomad' where you only start with vills and no TC, 'arena' type starts with walls and maybe towers, 'regicide' where you start with a castle or a powerful tower. But there is a much less played map starting mode where you start in a 'nomad' style vills scattered around. But you also start with a wagon that can unpack ONCE into your starting TC, just like AoE4 mongols. It cannot pack up and move however. I think you can only get this start currently in the Megarandom map generations.

@@fibu4357 yea, it's there a bit in WC3, but you can't drop half finished buildings to block them because they take so much damage, even from arrows.
Finished buildings, especially the food and research buildings are obviously used for walls. But then again, WC3 doesn't have real walls, to there is a usecase for this. Having walls and blocking movement with houses like that is just stupid
