UEFA regulations were broken twice - first by refusing to award the number of 2,100 tickets specified in the regulations (5% of the stadium's capacity), and then by changing the previous arrangements regarding the award of 1,700 tickets and ultimately reducing their number to 890.
I wonder if UEFA will take consequences against Aston Villa.
LEGIA IS THE BEST!!! Congratulations, Villa fans! Well done on securing the victory. Legia had the potential to win with our passionate 3k-strong fanbase in the stadium, but they were unfortunately banned due to security concerns. It would have been beneficial if Aston Villa had actively supported us with the local police. Any fans from any team or country would be upset. All Legia fans were celebrating across pubs and places; they were undoubtedly excited but also cold and frustrated. Apart from the ultras from Legia, we had fans with teens and younger kids. People took time off work, spent money, and dedicated their time only to be denied access to the pitch. Despite the disappointment and frustration among Legia fans, let's look forward to a rematch in the next round. We're determined to win the next game and secure the second qualifying position. As an Aston Villa fan I felt bad for the Legia fans on Thursday, it would've been a far better game with 2 sets of fans inside Villa park. The Villa fans really wer'nt aware of what was going on during the game & were wondering why there wasn't any Legia fans inside Villa park. Only after the game did we find out what had happend,but during the game some missiles were thrown into the holte end from the street by some Legia fans, which was unnessesary as Villa fans had nothing to do with the ticket allocation. As I understand it, UEFA made the descision to reduce the number of available tickets, from the original 2100 to 800 due to safety concerns after previous problems with traveling Legia fans around Europe. Legia were notified 3 weeks ago, but didn't communicate the situation to Legia fans
Only after to many Legia fans came & were told not all fans would be allowed to the game. Legia fans got frustrated & angry with this & started trouble, only after this did the police instruct Aston Villa football club that no Legia fans were allowed inside the stadium. I know the police can be real assholes, but you can't blame Aston Villa FC or its fans for this situation. I've seen alot of comments blame Villa, but I think you have to look at Legia for not communicating that only 800 tickets were available & not more. Best wishes!

...in Warsaw, English fans were welcomed normally, in Birmingham no one was allowed to enter the stadium and the riots were caused by this fact.
Polish fans paid for flights, hotels, entry to the stadium, took leave from work... and finally the English showed their "true face - non-racist... sad joke".
We invite you to Poland, but this time English people will be treated like Poles in Birmingham...!!!

Tarring ALL European visitors with the same brush & ALL Legia fans with the same brush is unfair, not to say irresponsible. As someone said on Claret & Blue ''no one mentions how Aston Villa didn’t fufill the promised 5% of tickets to legia, after which it was cut down to 800 from 1703. How is that fair? Fans have travelled and spent money'; Fans tend to buy their tickets straightaway, months in advance

calm down, calm down… too funny, I used to go in the seventies and early eighties when the fun was to ‘take’ the other teams end, I was a kid when suddenly four or five hundred west ham fans ‘too’ the Holte, everyone pouring onto the pitch, was at West Brom in the late seventies when Leeds shook and pulled the metal barriers down at the Smethwick End and then ran the length of the pitch with the fences above their heads and tried to chuck them at us in the Brummie End. Etc etc etc. This Legia stuff was high jinx with pyros.

Throwing bottles into the Holte is one thing but one of those bottles could have hit a kid or someone vulnerable, disgusting behaviour. What moral ground would they have to stand on for that really?
The AZ fans were not entirely peaceful. They had flares and fireworks, the police had to shut off Manor Road and Station Road by the coach park to manage them. They didn't get violent at all, but it wasn't easy and peaceful for the old bill.

Our club has put an official complaint to uefa about their club and fans, I would send the bill for police, the vet bills for horses and dogs then ban their fans for ever attending any games out their country, disgusting behaviour from what I've seen on twitter and local news.
