    For some of us, diarrhea on a carnivore diet is highly disruptive, because one has to RUN to the bathroom, wherever you are, suddenly and unpredictably. How anyone can get past that to get the benefits is hard to imagine.

      Hot fat…like in cooked bacon or 80/20 ground beef or even higher fat cuts of beef…will cause me severe gastric issues and even wake me up! But..if I eat cold butter I’m fine, colder meat…letting it cool and not eating ALL the fat…helps. I’m hoping after 3-6 months…when fat adaption happens…I won’t have to be as careful. But it takes several months. So…I’m eating cooled meat for now!

      @@bobomonkey702 It’s just that if you eat higher fat meats…after you cook it…the fats are hot and more liquid-y making them go thru your digestive system too fast. UNTIL you become fat adapted and the body gets used to all the fat, you can just eat meat that’s a little more cooled off…doesn’t have to be cold. I wrote that comment 2 months ago…& I’m fat adapted now…so my digestive issues have calmed down. 👍🏻😅

    Imagine carnivore would put the breaks on Crohnes in a hurry. I had it many years ago and got rid of it about 6 months after being diagnosed just by dumping sugar and carb intake. Long before I knew anything about keto or carnivore.
    When I started on keto, now carnivore, I expected to have issues because my gall bladder was removed years ago. But other than a couple of days of loose stool at the beginning, that was about it. Actually it's sometimes a little of the opposite. Luckily I have MCT on hand and use it very sparingly but seems to keep me on track. Only once I took too much. I am starting to wonder if carnivore is a trigger for Crohns disease. I have the same experience with loss stool on it and also have other autoimmune diseases, but I have no digestion problems as long as I add non meat back in. But, then I react to those foods for other reasons. I am especially sensitive to MCT oil. I am going to try cold fats maybe.

    • @scottsnitzer9733
      @scottsnitzer9733 Год назад

      @TV-el6uj It supposedly heals all autoimmune conditions and I do believe the people who have gotten great benefits from it, but the monomeals (eating only one type of animal food most or all of the time) and the histamine response they can cause, the pushing of bacon, eggs and other histamine foods, the ignoring of people's inability to digest fat and more are SOME of the reasons carnivore is a bad idea.
      And the thing is we're barely anything like our paleolithic and Neolithic ancestors as we've all been genetically modified.
      Stephanie Keto Person has THE best nutritional advice I've come across.
      If you try a digestive enzyme, please try one at a time meaning try ox-bile and see if it helps you digest fats-Pancreatin has been helping me a lot.
      Have you had a fecal elastase test?
      Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency can occur with other GI problems.
      You want to find out of your pancreas and gallbladder are working well and you want to work on sealing your gut meaning zero gluten, zero dairy, zero lectins, zero refined sugar, zero and no caffeine (contributes to leaky gut).
