Hey Air! First, thanks for sharing. 47 million Americans suffer from some form of anxiety, so you're not alone. Aromatherapy does support anxiety relief, however I wouldn't recommend starting with Monq only because they don't advise anyone under 18 to use their products not because of the ingredients (they are all-natural) but because they don't want to promote the hand-to-mouth habit that mimics smoking cigarettes. I would suggest trying other types of aromatherapy first, such as using essential oils in a diffuser (I love lavender and cedar wood). There's so many other things you can do to help with your anxiety, have you tried meditation or yoga? We have a few on our channel and we have several on our RUclips channel. People also love ASMR videos too, there are a ton on RUclips also and they are oddly soothing :) Good luck! -Melody, Yoga Lifestyles Editor
i’m actually surprised that i’ve haven’t seen any ads in the last year or so. i saw these at a vitamin store a few weeks ago & just remembered today. i bought vitastik (has vitamins in them) & my mood & i’ll try monq soon. :) didn’t know this stuff existed like a month ago so why not try ones that can help me with breathing or possibly make me feel better 🤷🏽♀️
These things last a ridiculously long time. Either Monq measures based on a very long pull or I'm just not taking in big breaths, but it feels like they go much further outside the 250 puff range. I use mine pretty regularly and I have a few sticks left from two years ago that are still going strong. You can tell they're fading because the smoke puff is nowhere near as big as the new ones but they're still going.
The only reason why it’s 18+ is so kids under 18 don’t use it as a smoke and using it as a smoke. Just ask your parents and tell them that they are fine.
Miranda Jolie Yea I’m 12 too I really want one cause I get super anxious and stressed sometimes. I’m afraid to ask my mom but my cousin wants one so maybe I’ll try it with her
Hey Sabrina! I deal with the same problem and yes, it would be more than safe for you. MONQ is not a vape but it uses the technology of a vape. The reason why it's recommended for older people is because GOOGLE bases things off of statistics of kids doing stuff like this and then going onto more hardcore stuff like cigarettes.
I bought a monq the forest scent but whenever i inhale and try to exhale through my nose nothing comes out and when i open my mouth barely anything comes out help what am i doing wrong??
Hi Sara! When you inhale, does the little jewel on the end light up? If not, there ight be an issue with the battery, because you should definitely see some vapor coming out with a genlte inhale. I'd check out your options with MONQ, their customer service will take care of you! monq.com/contact-us/
Thank you for sharing this, I just ordered my first set! So you don’t actually inhale it to your lungs right? Kinda keep it in the mouth and nose area?
From what I’ve read about this product, if you exhale from your mouth that’s when it comes from your lungs, but if u exhale through your nose it doesn’t (or something along those lines)
I don't understand how you blow it through your nose without inhaling it into your lungs. I pull it into my mouth but I cannot get it through my nose without inhaling into my lungs.
I’m late but have you ever been eating noodles, accidentally sneeze and a noodle come out your nose? Lol. Kind of a weird way to explain it but your mouth and nose are connected without involving your lungs. When breathing in gently sip it like a straw, do not take a deep breath. Just a little “sip” then breathe out your nose. I hope this is helpful.
Hey there! It's basically a personal diffuser, yes. Also, MONQ doesn't sell (or recommend) their products to anyone under the age of 18 simply because they don't want to support the hand-to-mouth habit that mimics smoking cigarettes and I personally wouldn't support anyone under 18 enjoying MONQ either. Hope this is helpful! - Melody, Yoga Lifestyles Editor
do you feel a slight burn in your throat when u smoke it? like not too bad bc a big part that I like abt smoking is the burn in my throat idk why but its v satisfying and relaxing
How do I convince my parents to get me this because its more direct than a room diffuser and I can't get a room diffuser because of my dog. Any advice?
I just told my parents i use it for my really bad anxiety and depression, i told them it’s all drug free and i showed them all the reviews and let them watch videos on it
Hey Amy! The vegtable glycerin is all plant-based, and according to their website, it's safe to inhale into the lungs, however to get the benefits from the active compounds, it's meant to be inhaled into just your mouth, not the lungs. That's why it's suggested to "sip" like a straw, as opposed to taking deep yogi breaths. I didn't experience any discomfort when I did accidentally inhale it in my lungs when I first tried it, and I believe they are working on producing the science-backed research to verify it 100%. Hope that helps! -Melody, Yoga Lifestyles Editor
No; on the Monq website, they strongly suggest to keep your mouth closed because this is an AROMATHERAPY device, and having those scent molecules pass through the nose will give you the benefits these items were designed for. I bought and used over 10 of MONQs, and each time I'd accidentally open my mouth while exhaling. The effects are not nearly as strong as keeping your mouth closed, like they said in the directions.
It won't harm you; but they recommend trying a plug in diffuser, with the appropriate scents for people your age. They don't promote the hand to mouth mimic motion.
Yes but as long as you don’t smoke them 50 times a day if you know what I mean there only 18+ because so kids don’t pick up on thinking it’s a smoke and smoke all the time just ask your parents it’s not illegal if under 18 uses it
Hey Nicole, Though the ingredients are all-natural and don't contain any nicotine or chemicals, I can't say for sure if or how they'd affect a growing child's developing olfactory senses (you'd always want to consult your physician regardless) however, MONQ doesn't sell (or recommend) their products to anyone under the age of 18 simply because they don't want to support the hand-to-mouth habit that mimics smoking cigarettes and I personally wouldn't support anyone under 18 enjoying MONQ either. Hope this is helpful! Melody, Yoga Lifestyles Editor

it’s not like a vape or cigarette. this won’t give you lung damage, decrease your life span, or stunt your brain development. you don’t inhale it into your lungs, you take it into your mouth and exhale it out of your nose. it’s aromatherapy.
I got them for my anxiety and zen and pumpkin spice are my favorites so far. I recommend getting 1 or 2 to begin with so you don’t end up with flavors you don’t like, like me. Best of luck and I hope your pain gets better! (Don’t forget to use coupons)
Go on the website; they sell a pack like this, but since each one is $20, the whole pack is somewhere between $100 and $200. If you never tried them, it's best to buy one or two instead of the whole thing.
