Bro ate that shot then bopped him 😂
Back then from that era, that move at 0:13 that Jay executed was ahead of its time. He did the unthinkable. Truly a pioneering legend.
They need to make a movie about how Rodney Mullan invinting all the board flip tricks.
Hand plant
You can tell Jay is pure freedom everyone else is shackled in fame and fortune and he doesn't care about anything but skating and being free
That's because his mother was a irresponsible hippie
and you can see where he ended up. prison, drug addicted and finally death.... while others like tony and alva are healthy and millionairs living life
dubb Tony and Alva?
I wouldn't say stacy was shackled tho, Him being on a different team helped learn the business and realise he can do the same even if he was a skater first.
And he regretted it per Dogtown and Z-Boys.
1:03 the moment Jay " Jay Boy Adams " realised his sponsors didn't have a clue
Jay was ahead of his time. Rare people like that are never appreciated during their era.
Never
Ever!!
He didn’t help his cause by becoming a drug addict
@@davestuddaman8127 You life and Learn my friend and that's what he did, I mean his brother got Murdered, his Mother, Father and Grandmother died, he lost 4 Family Member within the same Year, that's when he started Herion, so in a way I cant blame him, at the end he was clean and that's what matters.
All skateboarders need to make a pilgrimage to Dogtown to see where it all began.
Well Tony needed someone to knock that cocky selfish egotism out of him. 🤷🏻♂️ After that Tony started to appreciate things a bit more.
Jay was the star of this movie
There were no stars of this movie, the movie was about the entire group. "The Z Boys" aka "The Lord's of Dogtown". If the movie is centered around anyone it was Skip.
@@claybradley6122 I’m sorry to see you were incapable of understanding his comment. I hope the past year has increased your brain growth
“Woah, are you THE Stacy Peralta?!?”
-best game ever
*Meditating while he's asking
They need a remastered version of Underground.
That's me are you the guy my skaters have been talking about?
well, i hope so! I'd like to be sponsored by your shop!
@@AaaBbb-ts9fq yeah so everybody else tell you what make me a sponsor me video show me what makes you different then Bobby b down the street and please dont send me any footage from old spots in new Jersey dude cuz I've seen it all
Dont click on a lot of videos, but this is one of my favorite movies of all time. RIP Jay Boy
Lmao all those muscles just to get one punched by a lanky guy
What lanky guy? Maybe he was taller than the guy with muscles.
Skinny people are actually known for having heavy hands idk if it’s metabolic but in boxing it mentions how skinny people hit hard.. something about the their lanky body and arm turn into the punches.. but someone can be big and powerful and thats makes them hit hard and someone can be skinny and just jab you lightly but move your head back because his hands are just heavy for no reason lol.
RIP JAY BOY,,,,,, The Purest Skater EVER!!!
Stacy’s first girl was cheating with his best friend jay that’s a jerk move
@@devinhicks996 that was kind of Stacy's on fault though just leaving her like that at the party.
@@rc59191 still his best friend snaked him for a girl
@@devinhicks996yeah Jay Adams also beat a man to death but allegedly left the scene before his death therefore charged of felony assault got addicted to cocaine and heroin makes terroristic threats in and out of prison
“Where’s your lasso Wonder Woman” - Jay to TA
I love how every sound but the music and the caster just stops when Stacy leaves the ramp, it emphases the focus of Stacy in the moment, and at the same time definitely establishes Wish You Were Here as the theme song of the movie showing how all these guys are drifting apart from each others
2:36 So satisfying. Tony had become insufferable. He needed that humble pie to grow as a person
Jay Adams did that hand stand. That was 🔥 🔥 because this was the first time people had ever seen a skateboard move like that in history. He was truly ahead of his time.Jay cared more about the love of skateboarding than fame and fortune.Jay Adams is truly authentic and real one in that up and coming sport.
Didn't know hawkeye managed skateboarders before the avengers.
yo i never knew that was him until now...
xFBE STEEZ there were a few in this movie, johnny Knoxville in this scene and also Eli Thomson from broadwalk empire next to hawk eye.
So did The Joker
DTA 4229 I was more talking about stars that hadn’t quite made it into the main stream yet. Heath ledger was already a star. RIP.
@@cameronhubbard415 Oh word, youre absolutely right in that case.
Syd’s reaction was an “omfg” with a side of “he just keeps being amazing” is the best
That man had the conqueror spirit completely to be free and not be shackled down those kind of people are rare they're one in a million
Jay was the best of em hands down! He walked away because he had enough of not being appreciated and recognized! Nobody was doin what he was doin! He was born to do it! R.I.P. JAY
No he walked away because all his team cared about was him winning and getting paid
@@bahllls6267 Also they tell Jay what tricks to do instead of let him be free as should be in skateboard
I think jay is still alive

2:36 Tony probably thought that he would knock him down like he did to the guy at the competition earlier. boy was he wrong lol
Got rocked so hard he couldn’t get back up
Loved this movie my dad has a original production Stacy Peralta G&S Warptail 2 skate board in great condition any time I see clips from this movie I look at it lol
Jay did a handplant /invert insentially amazing. That would be a staple trick years to come on vert ramps / and street skating.
One of my favorite movies 🔥
This is my favorite movie
Imagine not landing your trick and still getting a score
Mara Santo Domingo it was a trick no one has ever seen before at the time. Hard to explain.
Imagine being one of the Godfathers of modern skateboarding. Fool
That’s what happens when you see something special
He was inventing tricks before Mullen on the 80s and no one sees that Jboy greatest skater of all time pure art that never got recognized
Great film !
It’s crazy and sad how every new “thing” that emerges there’s always one who foresees the future without knowing it and gets under appreciated which leads to frustration and personal turmoil. Jay was DEFINITELY ahead of the game. If he woulda stuck with it and had guidance AND LISTENED, we would of had X Games crap in early 80’s…lol….Jay you were the man in my opinion. Always will be
Dude, please. Jay was cool and all, but was Stacy the one that created the legend. People love to romanticize "freedom" but Stacy was the only one that was focused in getting better and actually skating. But being focused and working all the time is boring, that's why nobody notices him. He was different to all of them from the start. Even Skip say it, "you can surf or skate, but never will be one of us".
2:37 falcon punch Capt Falcon approves. 👍 show me your moves
Lmao
I love this movie
I knew I saw Clint somewhere when I was in elementary school, until I saw him again in 2012
Tony got what was coming.
Jay was a cult legend but like van gogh wasnt valued until after his death
Wasn't the guy who punched Alva in the Grind movie ? 🤔
chad fernandez, great skateboarder
I came to the comments to see if anyone else recognized him, but not too many people know of Grind. You know, the movie where Jimmy was... Jimmy was Jimmy
Chad & Ronnie Creager used to sk8 behind the Mall of Orange all the time back in 92’ & 93’. I used to see those guys there semi regularly.
@@doe6651 Jimmy was off the hook.. off the hook.. jimmy was like shhhhaaaaaa!!!
☝ thank you for making my f-in week. Grind is one of the greatest things ever made.
Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here on piano in the background, Superb.
that's how you follow through with a punch
bruh never recognized Jeremy Renner in this lol
Imagine jay free of drugs and practising everday he would e been a beast more than he already was.
Nice
I am Alva!!!😂
Victor Rasuk looked like he actually got punched at the end of this scene.
Nobody liked Alva. The core skaters were always with Jay (RIP).
Cause Alva was a douche
No matter what happen jay boy should of got a way higher score then the same stuff over and over..jay boys creativity was off the charts like my boy said theses cats are stock cars 😂
Jay entendió todo 🔥
Dude picks up his board just to throw it
How have I never heard of this movie
good meme u a pozza dats y
Rip jay
I wanna see this movie
yo...the 70's
Jay understood life at a very young age… when everybody else just followed society like a sheep
RIP Jay I feel like Jay Adams!!
Before popping the tail up
Had NO idea Jeremy Renner was on this movie
Jaaaaaaaaay!

I think Jay Adam's regretted not making money from skating
It looks like a man down it is a man down
What is the song at 1:07 plz
Pink Floyd - Wish you were here
Matthew Easton tanks man
Jay was the best and he could’ve cashed in I don’t know why he didn’t
F trogs loser knows nothing about style insulting a legend stay in your own lane if you own a skateboard please snap it we don’t need people like you in the community😂
He loved skateboarding for different reasons he wasn’t in it for the fame and money he had way more about him than that if he wanted he could of had it all even peralta said it. But that’s what makes him great I guess (the original seed).
Can I have more movie
Enough movie! no more movie for you!
Man down lol
Jeremy Renner, in there as well
Chad Fernandez?
I See Jeremy Renner!
Does knowone know the trick that jay did?
Just realized that's Jeremy Renner
alva got his mstvh
Jay was the Pioneer the others couldn't come up with the moves he imagined.Alva was the rock star both lost everything. Peralta went on to be a great in sponsering.without powel peralta no bones brigade. The greats of the 80s.rony hawk, mike mullen, steve cabelerro ,Bucky lasek, mike mcgill, lance mountain, just a few of the many founded because of peralta good eye on skating. He was the team management Powell was the business management. The 80s without them wouldn't be the same for skating. While Alva and Jay were trippin around California and Hawaii peralta was looking to the future.all 3 legends though.
I know it's just a movie but I wonder if that cheap wood had something to do with Jay's execution. I know when I practice for other sports those kinds of details can matter quite a lot.
In my opinion, looked like the board was heavier and clumsy-er, on comp day would throw most off.
@@IceDeath777 Not only that, they gave it to him right before the competition started. Didn't even have a chance to break it in.
tony didnt know dude out because he was off hella drugs. lost all his strength. prolly hit a line of coke before he hit the ramp and was geeked up
who was sid in real life
The actor was Michael Angarano, Sid in real life died back not too long around this time
