Keown - "You played at Wimbledon and you'd stand in the tunnel and you'd be outside the Wimbledon dressing room and Vinnie Jones is headbutting the toilet door" Has to be the most English bit of punditry ever.
Duncan Ferguson. He’s the hardest man to ever play football. Ferocious. He made Stan and Keane crap themselves and he didn’t just know how to hurt players like some so called “hard men”, he knew how to fight for real and he’d fight anyone, anytime. Genuinely dangerous man.
Dave Mackay is the Hardest man to play football in the UK. Anyone who knows football genuinely saw how he dealt with other 'hardmen' without being violent and barely saying a word. Lifting Bremner off the floor with on hand was a personal favourite
Liverpool had so many hard men but no one mentions Jan Malby. He had some screw loose. I remember 1986 cup final Everton players just stayed away from him and they had some hard payers at that era. He was also in prison for 8 months I think, for drink driving and speeding away from police. Later found car parked in his driveway after a long failed chase by police.
Keown's Wimbledon story was BRILLIANT. I can totally see Vinnie Jones headbutting the door in the tunnel and the French players watching on in bemusement 🤣🤣🤣
Big Dunc wasn’t just a hard footballer but genuinely hard as nails full stop. Beat the shit out of 2 burglars and dragged them back into his house when they tried to escape haha
Big Duncan Ferguson for me, there’s a clip somewhere of him at a corner with Jimmy Bullard and it’s hilarious. Big Dunc is steaming and Bullard just looks at the camera and makes the “what the hell if this guy on” face.
I spoke to Richard Gough at Dave Watsons testimonial and he said big Dunc went on a night out in Glasgow with his teammates and it kicked off in the bar and big Dunc was the last man standing.. The rest of the rangers team ran outside and big Dunc strolled out with his chest pumping with tough glaswegians all over the floor in the bar...

Bored in lockdown but it's Duncan Ferguson all day
The best part is when keown is talking about vinnie jones and you hear someone behind the scenes laugh
Only seen football since 1990, but for me it's Duncan Ferguson by a big distance. He could have played in the 60s. He was a good player as well.

Ozil, hardmans hardman
Love the way savage is always excluded when the compliments come out.

How have I not seen this till now! Love hearing the insight from the players.

Big Dunc. Jailed for headbutting a playsr
Duncan Ferguson was hard as nails. Mark Hughes too, never saw him roll about after a tackle
"I told you, Gerry - don't give the ball to Sav."
‘Martin what is this’ got me 😂😂😂
Gerard was the one who answered most correctly. He was fairly tough himself, but Souness was up there overall.
Billy Whitehurst end of chat. Reporter asking Vinny Jones " Whats it like to be considered the hardest man in football,"
