It so nice to hear a marvelous player, demo a guitar for what they really sound like. No effects, no distortion, just the beauty of the actual guitar. It never ceases to amaze me how people will try to convince us as to how great a guitar sounds once it's mired in distortion, delay, and what other gadgets are close by. This fellow did an amazing job of showing us what this 335 actually sounds like. Very impressive!
A great example of how superb playing skills do justice to the instrument sound, and... vice versa - how the instrument qualities complement skillful playing. Sheer pleasure to listen to 😀
Guthrie is always mind boggling entertaining to hear and watch. He is a fantastic musician with a deep well of soulful playing. We also need Tom Bukovac, Jedd Hughes and Duke Levine doing some of these Carter Vintage Vids! 🙏
Dude! You never cease to surprise and delight me with your playing. Happy new year to you, and may we meet this year and me be able to thank you in person for your playing.
You hear something like this and it inspires you to never want to play again and gift all the good vintage guitars to this man and his friends. That’s how you demo a guitar - playing all over the neck to listen for tonal variety and fret issues.

CVG should get on Chris Cain to play a 335! Guthrie is so killer too!
I'll take one please !!!
👏👏👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Trapp, Govan...I wish my parents name me Guthrie.
Beeeyewdiful...❤blooz4life.
GT and a sweet old 335. What more do you need?
Sounds a bit like the old Nashville guitar sound of Chet Atkins
Great playing, but why it's nobody ever RIP'S one of these?
I wanna be part of that number, too. ;)
Makes me appreciate guitar into amp little verb and no other pedals. Just play like Guthrie...if you can
Very musical, largely doesn't lose the outline of the chord progression and melody.
And it’s only $85,000!
I have a 1961 ES-335, but it doesn't sound this good because I can't play as well as he
CGP
Problem is that many players noodling nonsense like gods at ultra speed, but when they need to play real peace of music it is one string slow picking
So- what are you saying exactly?
