Iam glad too that these bleach fail videos are on line, hopefully to teach people bleaching Thier hair at home isn't a good idea unless they know what they are really doing, bleach is soooo damaging.
@Lisabowers799 I'm glad that back in the day we didn't have social media or cell phones. We had a Polaroid camera if you were lucky!!! 😂😂😂😂 Amen if you can find evidence good luck. !!!
Oh my, when will people realize how difficult bleaching and coloring hair is! Thank you Hair Buddha for another great video! Have a great weekend everyone ❤
And they wonder why hairdressers charge so much. Its a long process with lots of products. That's why they went to school for it It's not that easy. My her hair was bad.😮 Great video HB
oh my word. bless her. This turned out so bad for her. At least she found someone at the very end that could help her. Had a dream last night that i was trying to dye my hair... wanted red and was holding a box.. and well it ended up WAY too red and the panic was so much... even for a dream lol. I couldn't imagine feeling it in real life.
PS I really liked the colour of her hair in the first place ,personally I would have added a few face framing highlights & a couple to brakes up the obvious contrast..I'm amazed to here her mention Woolworths ..we lost all out branches about 15 yrs ago here in England xx
OMG Woolworth! 😂 I don’t remember how many decades ago we lost our NYC branches. Well, at least how long ago I’ve seen one. Memories 😊 BTW I love ur advice for her hair! Are you a professional or just a natural?
I have never bleached my own hair, and watching these videos keeps it that way🤗 Should she be mixing the bleach with the color dye? Seems reckless chemical wise.
I have absolutely no intention of ever going blonde, but watching all those reaction videos has turned me into a professional! I know what to do, and what not to do.
It's awesome that you've gained so much insight from my reaction videos! Knowledge is power, and it sounds like you’re ready to tackle any hair adventure.
I used box dye for years, in between the highlights from hairdresser. I never had a fail. In fact, one hairdresser asked me where I got my hair coloured. When I said it is box dye on top of highlights, they were in awe of how beautiful it looked. So my question...what has changed with these dyes? Btw... I've let my natural hair grow in and haven't coloured it since 2018
@pheart2381 Sounds about right. You have to wonder why. Although they always seem to mess with trying to perfect everything, even when it's already perfect
Same here. Always did my bleach at home, used the color expert in this video... Stopped in 3018, letting my natural honey blonde/dirty blonde grow out... Didn't like it, tried again this year. They stopped selling the color expert, snd my hair looks bad... Not a diisaster, but not good like it used to.
I completely agree with you that most people when they wanna go blonde they see that colored picture of blonde on the box and they think that if they put that on their hair it’s gonna look just like the box. they really have a rude awakening
I love how after watching you for so long, I’m not shouting at the videos what they’re doing wrong and getting it right!😂😂 still can’t find a colour I like on my hair and do that how I like it but I’ve got the bleaching side down now!😂❤❤❤xxx
In the case of this lightener product the powder is an accelerator, meant to be dissolved first into the developer. The lightener cream is then added and mixed in.
Many of these plastic bottles of developer in box dye (I have never used box bleach) have a raised number (the strength) embossed on the bottom of the bottle.
i learn a lot from your videos. I have a question, if I may: if one has gray( natural shade 2 mixed with 50% natural white unrully and thin hair) how can I lighten it without burning ...off the white bits? i really wish I had a vibrant colors and what with losing hair and the texture being super porous ( i used purple conditioner for 1 minute! and it turned my hair brassier and darker!) and all the gray being mostly in the front around the temple, I've been postponing my hair...revolution for over a year now. I'd appreciate the advice
2:34 ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION ABOUT HOW TO IDENTIFY THE VOLUME OF THE DEVELOPER BEING USED: On the bottle of developer regardless of manufacturer will always have a series of numbers followed by or preceded by the letter v and two digits with the two digits meaning the developer strength. It will be tricky because some manufacturers only list these details on the box alongside the lot number but it is on the product bottle or the box.
Great video thank you! Can you make a video to explain what kind of hair toppers extensions.. etc a woman with thinning hair can use to add volume and density ? My hair if fine thinning and so frustrating 🙄😅

In terms of spots, this might be the worst one I’ve seen. I’m glad she got it fixed but that must have been soooo £££. Just fork out the money to have it done right the first time. Lesson learned (hopefully!). (NB I haven’t been to the hairdresser since like 2019 but there’s no colour nor bleach in my hair. Long and scraggly, but healthy and natural. I never thought I would see the day when I would go natural gray.) Thank you for your service, HB in keeping most of us from making these same mistakes! ❤❤❤
Question(s): You said the left over from the day before wont work. Can you explain more about that? Like how the chemical reaction has a limited lifetime, and the clock starts running when you mix it. I have never bleached my hair, but I am wondering if a lot of bleach hair fails I see, are due to old or previously used chemicals? Also, what is the shelf-lifetime of a powdered bleach?
Question.....I'm naturally a brunette and box dye now and then(to cover slight non pigmentated...yes...grey) as summer ends my ends tend to go orangey, redish, brassy. I'm over dying it.... I'm assuming 'blue' is the opposite of the colour wheel that was shown. Any recommendations on a blue shampoo to help me stay brunette longer without dying my hair anymore? Thanks 😊 😅
Here in Germany you go through an education of 3 years to become a hairdresser. And for to open a salon you even have to study at Meisterschule. Why do people always think, they could do that at their own? With no idea of how and what to do?
Can you do some commentary on dark-to-gray transformations? I have dark dyed hair as a result of trying to keep young hair color on an aging follicles, but would like to embrace my gray. Since I have to appear on camera as the face of my career, I can't wait for it to grow out. Is there another way - one which won't destroy my curly hair? Or should I just chop it off & wear wigs until it grows out? If the latter is the best choice in your opinion, where can I find/what do I need to look for in natural looking, affordable gray wigs?
