I've done a lot of learning in the past year. I've made a lot of changes in my life. I've filtered out quite a few habits and as a result, I've come to know that I want to progress more and evolve in the way I communicate. Devotion is a song that represents the beginning of something new for me, it represents one step towards becoming more of myself. I hope that regardless of your opinion towards it, you can begin to understand me more as I grow and continue to learn on my journey.

Almost 4 years later and I STILL think this is Tristam’s best. The vocals, production, everything lines up to create a beautifully haunting piece of work. I know the song and dance is to praise Frame of Mind or Once Again, but this? This shows what Tristam is perfectly capable of. Still hoping he can make more along the lines of this, it’s incredible.

I don’t care how long ago this was released. I will always come back and praise the hell out of this song. It is EASILY one of Tristam’s bests! And the reasoning behind it of Tristam learning, and wanting to evolve and grow will always be an inspiring one, at least to me

    [Verse 1]
    Silent in the dark
    Waiting for the spark
The wood soaked in their blood
Their hands joined in the mud
    The ember gently glowed
The spark took to their clothes
The flames kept on rising higher
    [Chorus]
    They stood in the fire
    They burn with desire
    With love and emotion
    They dance with devotion
    They stood in the fire
    They burn with desire

    (Love and-)
    (Love and-)
    (Love and-)
    [Verse 2]
    Tighter than before
    They still want something more
The heat dries out the skin
    As their patience grows thinner
    Thinner than before
    Cause they want even more
Cause they share in this fire
    [Chorus]
    They stood in the fire
    They burn with desire
    With love and emotion
    They dance with devotion
    They stood in the fire
    They burn with desire

Oh my fucking god tristam this is incredible. So much depth and effort put into this one fucking absolute banger of a track, you're really something as an artist and I hope you keep this up. Totally sensational.
Also knowing this won't get seen without a pun, I've put alot of *devotion* to making this comment about one of my favourite artists :)

Tristam, I will always be a happy fan of yours. That is why I am happy as long as you are happy with what you want to do, and not just because others want you to do something. It takes real time and dedication to make music, and you are surely one of the best producers out there. Good job, and I hope you are well.

At first, I wasn't too keen on this song. I was more into heavy dubstep at the time. But now that my taste in music has changed, I love this song dearly. Some people might think that this song is bland and they might be right, but this is a simple song that knows it's a simple song. That's what I love about it. Tristam did a brilliant job here and his music only gets better. Can't wait to see what he's got for his next song. Congrats, Tristam. Keep it up.

There's nothing simple about this song in the literal sense. However, hypothetically it is a simple song as "Simplicity is stated to truly the ultimate form of sophistication
