The writer of this drama is Kim Eunsook. She is known for having open-ending just like how she did with her other dramas like Descentdants Of The Sun, Goblin, Mr. Sunshine etc.

My favorite aspect of the show I didn’t realize at first is that all 3 of yeonjin bullied victims are what put her in jail. Sohee was the dna and lighter, of course moon, and her final victim with the bottle evidence it’s poetic that all of them got justice against her together.

The writer for 'The Glory' also wrote 'Guardian: The Lonely & Great God' which is also quite well rounded with charismatic characters. It's got something for everyone. Definitely worth a watch.
It was dumped by the critics so you can say that not all her works are good let alone an amazing one like this...cmon...
@@taylor6101ful Well a lot of good shows and movies receive mixed reviews from critics, so it's each to their own I guess. But I will stand by what I said, even though it doesn't come close to The Glory, I still enjoyed it as much.

I'm so glad you made it through the whole show. This is definitely some of the best television I have ever seen. I have come to appreciate K-dramas that only go one season. They don't always give you a fairytale/happy ending. Others have already recommended "It's Okay to Not be Okay". I would also recommend "Doona". Of course, there is also "Extraordinary Attorny Woo". That is on the other end of the spectrum with lots of fun and tearful moments.

Lee Do-Hyun is well sought after domestically by the PDs & Directors in S Korea though he has merely made his debut in 2017. He has won 3 different Rookie Awards in 2021, including the renowned & prestigious 57th Baeksang Arts Award in S Korea for his incredible & dual roles in 18 Again. He is such an amazing, versatile & young handsome actor with prowess acting skill. It has been proven in his masterpieces - The Good Bad Mother, Youth of May, Sweet Home, Melancholia in a mere 6 years. Unfortunately he has been called up for his mandatory military service in Aug 2023. Otherwise, he would have continued to shine.
as much as I would've liked to see Dongeun and Yeojeong torment the murderer, it was still satisfying seeing the disbelief and fear on his face when he saw Yeojeong. it's such a contrast to how he was being a little sh*t when previously facing him behind a fence or a glass. Yeah, not having so fun now, huh? 😂 Mr. "yOu cAn'T dO tHaT yOu'Re a DoCtOr"
It's finally the last episode! It was glorious to watch this series together. I look forward to another drama reaction.

23.30 about jae juns death, i feel like you guys missed out on the fact that jae jun was the one responsible for so hee being pregnant, he's the one who SA'd and r@*€d her. Dong eun initially thought it was myeong oh but it is later revealed that it was jae joon and she WAS pregnant according to her post mortem.
So yeah, jae jun definitely deserved what he got. # team washer fluid, construction truck and cement pool ❤

Jae-joon deserved everything he got. Where as the bully girls hurt their victims emotionally, psychologically and physically the guys abused them sexually. Soo-hee was their longest running victim. That's why Dong-un was surprised that Soo-hee's unborn child wasn't Meong-O's but Jae-jun's. Dong-un was so greatful to Soo-hee cause she could have fallen to the same fate. She was already getting sexually harassed by them little by little.

If you want more information about the thoughts behind certain things in the show you might enjoy watching the commentaries done by the actors, director, and writer. The writer is actually very famous for her previous works. The show was released in two parts, so there’s two commentaries after each part was released.

Kdramas are not known for having a season 2, few Netflix originals do Have them, but even now majority wont have a season 2. As for the Glory I doubt there is any story left, I mean we can all imagine the end, so it won't be that engaging to see, but we can all have our own imaginations.
🙄You doubt there’s any story left…Joo Yeo Jeong’s revenge. They can easily do another season that revolves around him. The writer said that she finished the show’s story despite having such an open ending but that she doesn’t rule out a second season given that the show did end with an ending that most people would want more of.
@@G10-n7f Again, kdramas rarely have a second season, most actors are also not a huge fan of more seasons. It is changing bit by bit but still a long way to go. The story will become a run of the mill revenge story if the add a 2nd season. Revenge story against a Psychopathic Serial Killer is quite an overused storyline in Kdrama. A second season will lose the novelty of the season 1. It can still be good don't get me wrong, but it won't be an additive to the already well crafted world of The Glory. And I personally like this ending more, where his and Dong-Eun's revenge machinations are left for us to imagine!!!
@@sohombanerjee6349 I’m aware of the fact that kdramas are usually one season (and I hope it stays that way as long as there’s not too many ridiculous flaws with the story and characters) that said you are slowly starting to see more kdramas get more than one season.
I agree with you on that they run the risk of doing the same repetitive things that we are used to seeing with these kinds of stories or genres and they run the risk of not having the same impact as the initial season but given how good of a writer Kim Eun Sook is I doubt she’ll have a problem coming up with something new impactful and entertaining.
Also although I’ve gotten used to loose ends or opening endings when it comes to Korean tv shows and movies but I think for this particular show she should have ended it with a complete ending rather than use your imagination kind of ending given how much of a roller coaster ride this one was.

The fact about Moon Dong Eun is that she wants revenge but she doesn't get her hands dirty at all, it's really the best way of revenge in all the times I've watched dramas like this

As others have suggested I have to recommend It's Okay to be Okay, and Goblin. I would also add Hotel De Luna, the show has some similarities to Goblin. But it is different in a lot of ways as well. I think it's worth watching just for IU's performance as Jang Manwol.

The thing I've noticed with Korean dramas is that they cut out many scenes to pack everything into one season. The scene where Yeo-jeong's mom found Dong-eun on the roof is probably one of those scenes; we have no idea how she knew. Anyhow, this drama is in my top five of all the Kdramas I've watched so far. The show is phenomenal, and I loved your reactions!

i know i'm super late on this but i found this series today and binge watched the entire 16 episode reactions in one sitting hahaha properly got dinner and everything. i just wanted to say, that i'm GLAD you can't understand Kang Yeong Cheon, the dude who murdered Yeo Jeong (the doctor)'s dad. i studied psychology and actually it's testament of how amazing the script is, because the way that Yeong Cheon reacted and the reason he gave for killing is very similar to how actual psychopaths think. The way he felt disrespected because in his moment of need (bleeding from his arm and dying of pain) how dare he have his focus on someone else - his son who loves ramen. His goal was to get back at him, and what better way to meet the object that slighted him than to kill his dad? It's all super sick and twisted but it tracks based on what i've read about them. soooo all that to say, good thing you didn't understand!

Totally agree. It's gonna be hard to strike the iron twice with this caliber...it's gonna take a long time to make a a drama like this good again for Koreans. I know and I've seen on the comments that there are a lot of good k dama's but we all know that it's not and it's just overrated because I don't know...not all k drama's are this great period! Anyways, like you said if they can't top this or make as good as this I prefer to let this go. I love the fact that they ended on a really high note!
The whole story actually started as mother and child relationship and if you really think about it it's not just about bullying..and I guess the writer incorporated the husband protecting the daughter even if it means killing someone just shows how well rounded the story is. I kinda see it that aside from a mother a father can be your protector too.
The story telling is really magnificent well done!
