This video is based on how Yennefer appears in books, and was made shortly prior to Witcher 3 release and long before Netflix Witcher Series, which somewhat alternated what was written in books by Sapkowski.

One thing to add - when Geralt and Yennefer first meet, Yen tries to capture the genie and Geralt helps her, but it turns out to be too powerful for them to contain it and in order to avoid full destruction Geralt asks one last wish of the genie in order to release it afterwards. So his wish is to bond him and Yen forever. Having this info, the quest The last wish in the Witcher 3 would make much more sense - Yen wants to find out after all those years if the only thing holding them together is the genie's magic or real love - that's why she wants to brake the last wish of Geralt...
Wtf, he really wished the genie to bond them together forever? That sounds like something he would never do, I am shocked
I watched The Witcher 1 and 2 story videos and am 1/2 through TW 3 and have absolutely no idea why is the Yennefer supposed to be Geralt's love. Can't wait to choose Triss 100 times over her.
Also acting so bossy and arrogant and not even wanting to spend some time with Geralt after they reunite at the start of the 3rd game..

Frankly the only adequate and honest way to explain why Yennefer is missing from the first two games is 'because plot'. It is completely out of character for her to wait so long to see him and even if she'd find out about Triss and him that would not spot her.

Great video, but it seems you skipped over some key details about the events involving the Geralt, Yennifer, and the djinn.
The real reason why she isn't in the first 2 games was because the developers thought many gamers who didn't read the books, would be very confused from the long back story. She was almost not in the 3rd game but realized they need to put her in and fill in some plot holes, etc and she's such a major character.

The only thing i'm still wrapping my head around is the fact that Triss KNEW Geralt and Yennefer were in love but romances him in The Witcher 1 & 2. She was best friends with Yen, so why not tell her where Geralt was and help them out? Why have Geralt go through years of trials and tribulations when she could've helped him?
Wellllll let's just say Triss has takem advantage of Geralt even before the games as well. She is selfish in that regard and that would make it her second time that she not only betrayed Yennefer like that but also 4th or 5th to Geralt considering the fact that she also kept him from alot of things like Ciri in the books and also the lodge in the games.
Well in both books and games she kinda sucks it up to the Lodge which is how she ends up betraying Yen and Geralt and Ciri time and time again.
My only bother is that Yen said she would never forgive Triss back in the books for her betrayal but in the games she just kinda pushes everything Triss did wrong aside meanwhile Triss always has something backhanded to say at every chance she gets about Yennefer lol.
I love Yennifer as a character. And as a side benefit I enjoy the comments hating on her. Lads with mommy issues mostly, who dislike a woman with strong personality. Always funny to read!

Where did you get these images? Is their a polish film adaptation on the novels? With english subtitles?
Semper Volo There is. It was on You Tube for a while. It was really low budget, but the actors tried.
Semper Volo There is also a Polish tv series of 13 episodes from 2000. Well it's not 100% accurate and a lot of people hate it 'cause it's low budget , cgi at that time sucked and actors are not the best in the world , but I simply enjoyed watching it ^ ^ if u have time watch it !

I'd really like to know if Geralt is a source (capable of wielding magic), as his mother is indeed a sorceress (not that she seems to care much for her son...that's were Yen really is a breath of fresh air, because despite being a sorceress she somewhat cares for other people - despite seldom showing that she does (her attitude in fact makes one think she's a cold cold bitch...which is not entirely wrong either sadly))...I mean in TW3 we see that at least the Trial of Grasses does not destroy someone's magic ability (as Avallac'h survives the trial thanks to Yen and later can still use magic)...a hybrid mage-witcher...might be cool (might not pass out as easily if doing harder spells because a witcher's body is more durable than a normal human's body) ;)
Avalach is not mage and witcher he didint reached the full Trial of Grasses he just reached only one point of that . Yennefer actually explains that to witchers she said that its a point where you can form body by magic
Jožko Predkožka Sure, but that doesn't say that being a source would actually prohibit you from becoming a witcher (I never said Avallach was a witcher, I just said they used mutagens on him and his magic didn't react to it - he didn't die!)

i hoped to understand geralt and yen relationship in the vid but i think i must read all the books to understand thier love i guess because i can't see her loving geralt more than triss yet him and yen are supposed to be lovers

They never really planned to, the games were meant to be trilogy ending Geralt's story. They did say that if they were to make a fourth Witcher game, it would have a different protagonist, with Ciri being the most likely candidate.
Their are some great details about their love. Try to listen to Priscilla. They have faced so many trials
i wish i had your knowledge cuz i see it the other way around with triss i mean she has been there by him all 3 games and then some random woman pops out all bossy and even the game decides to separate him and triss for some reason i thought they would be together looking for yen or ciri but apparently the love i saw was a lie that's why i made geralt choose both of them in the 3rd game its what makes more sense to me in this plot mising game

Depends on your perspective. Yen seems to love Geralt more, shes his first love, they've been connected for at least twenty years, she shows a side nobody but Geralt sees. Her loyalty to him and Ciri is never doubted, she almost died for Geralt once, or so I've heard considering I havent read the books. As for her personality she matches Geralt well, they're similar. They both have the same smartass wit, she's intelligent and strong willed, also very independent. Her romance ending involves her giving up everything she is, and just wants to go far away from the politics and drama, and live with Geralt in peace. As for bad points however she's bossy, treats people like tools to be used, incredibly rude sometimes especially to the witchers in the third game. She shows them no respect. As for Geralt despite her loyalty and love, she can treat him crappy sometimes. They argue alot, and when it comes down to it she always gets her way. None of his friends like her. So if you like independent women who like to boss you about and always wants her way, to be the submissive partner in the relationship, but who loves him dearly like no one else, almost like she wouldn't be able to move on, then go for Yen. As for Triss: I'll start with bad points. Yes she manipulated Geralt during the first two games, never mentioning Yen once. Trying to jump into his bed. Not even telling him about Ciri, his child surprise. Betrayed Yen because of this, as they were friends. On the plus side she is smart, bright, bubbly, complete opposite personality to Yen. Someone who comes across as someone who would do anything to cheer you up. Geralts exact words if you romance Triss, is "with Triss there's a calm. Like things are where they're supposed to be. With Yen it was fight after fight. Am not saying it was bad but it got to be exhausting" so another words Triss is the more calm relaxed one. More subtle whereas Yen is more in your face. In the third game Triss in my opinion redeems herself by helping all the mages out of novigrad and even suffers through a torture in order to find Ciri willingly. Whereas Yen comes across as more willing to charge through people no matter who gets hurt along the way to find Ciri. So a massive difference there. Someone willing to go through whoever is in their way to get Ciri, or someone who puts themselves in harm's way. Some people might say it's cause Triss feels guilty about the past, hence why she's so willing to go through with the torture. However Its the thought that counts. As for Triss's romance ending, she wants them both to move to Kovir. While Geralt continues doing witcher contracts every now and then, she remains involved with matters of the world. Some people would say that's a bad thing but I see the positive side of it. Both of them enjoy doing what they do, neither expects the other to change, doesn't force themselves to give anything up, instead they work their lives around each other, support each other unconditionally. As long as Geralt comes home to her she's accepting of him remaining on the witcher path. Which is a rare thing I imagine, because like Shani pointed out in witcher 3, most women would rather have a man who is there for them every night. Witchers can't do that. So like I said, up to you, and also it's up to you how you perceive things, but this is how I see it. I choose mostly Triss but I am a sucker for non canon romances because like most rpgs, I find them more appealing. Opposites attract and all that
