I wish they'd have shown the revenge scene against Fabrizio, just like how it happened in the book. In the deleted scene from part 2, he never knows that Michael got his revenge. In the book it was very interesting.
In the book, Fabrizio had an eye for Apollonia. Michael had caught him looking at her more than he should have. He was planning to "straighten that damn sheep herder out."
In the book, Michael was nursed back to health by a woman named Filomena who had ties with Luca Brasi. After committing an unspeakable act at the behest of Luca and unable to continue her work as a midwife, Don Vito arranged for her to return to Sicily.
Yeah the kids he had with Jay were worthless. The Daughter was vapid and his son, while he seemed like a nice guy wasn't even considered as being worthy to take over.
@@danielmeuler2877 I beg to differ. Copola's daughter's scenes alone are acting cancer. Bringing in Sonny's bastard out of no where like that and making him heir was also weird and undeserved. And don't get me started on the incestuous love affair and romance subplot between the cousins
@@danielmeuler2877 I agree. It was a good movie, just not up to the iconic classics of the first 2. This was Coppola making chicken salad out of chicken shit. Key actors weren't there (especially Robert Duvall, and the first choice for the daughter, Winona Ryder) and the story had to be changed drastically. Add into that how terrible Sofia acted, and it only seems worse across the board because of how much of it she was in. Sonny's "bastard" could just as easily been his son from his wife, but this added intrigue and a twist.
Great video!! The ending I like for Fabrizio is the car explosion. Although Michael was not there, at the point of death, Fabrizio would have know it was Michael Corleone all along. Him going to kill Fabrizio would have been a mistake, like Gus Fring going to see Don Hector and we all know how that turned out. Michael sent the perfect revenge to a man he once trusted.

If you mean Micheal finding out who the traitor was, the effects was him being a lot more cautious about his high ranking men. For example, he didn’t trust a single person after his assassination attempt in GF2 (with the exception of his brother Tom.) But I’m not sure if that’s an effect from this.
I don't think michael would have become Don michael if Apollonia hadn't passed. The one behind the plot was Someone jealous of Michael narrying Appollonia
They should have had Fabrizio’s car explode, but, before it does he sees a picture of Apollonia pinned to the dashboard. In that moment he’ll know what’s about to happen and why.
Loved your videos bro I watched all 3 movies a couple of months ago and I like your your insight of all the movies the facts in the hidden stuff I didn’t know
@@cocoaddams4502 yeah cause I watched them all in Paramount+ I didn’t know that three was not received well as many people say and I liked it. I just feel sad for Michael in the end when he dies. And also dies next to a small little dog meaning he died like a dog in the end.
Fabrizio’s betrayal always gets me. I’m not saying it’s okay, but put yourself in his shoes. He’s basically trapped, selling out Michael was his only shot at survival
What I want to know, that I've never seen anyone discuss, is whether Kay knew about Apollonia. If she did, that changes everything we know about their relationship. If she knew, then she knew she was an also-ran, a lame replacement for the love of Michael's life. And, as any women knows who has had to deal with the beloved ex, the fact that you can never measure up poisons your relationship whether you want it to, or not.
There's a brief line in Godfather III where Kay mentions Michael's first marriage, though she doesn't mention Apollonia's name, and it's not revealed when she knew about the marriage.
I personally like Fabrizio meeting his end the same way Apollonia met hers. Fabrizio could have had a cushy position within the Corleone family or at least his pizzeria free and clear. All he had to do was wait and keep Michael alive. But he was a flaw man and made his worst mistake; he betrayed Michael. Or should I say, the worst mistake was FAILING to end Michael. After he made his choice, his days were numbered. So poetically meeting the same end just fells the most right.
At the time, I don't think anyone expected the Corleone family to survive much longer. Even if the war ended, Don Barzini had already won in the eyes of most. Everyone underestimated the tactical genius of Vito and especially Micheal. So to Fabrizzio, it was either switch over to the winning team and get everything he ever wanted or keep fighting a losing battle and remain a shepherd at best, but more likely just end up dead.
@plebisMaximus that's true, everyone was underestimating the Corleone Family. That doesn't change my mind that Fabrizio made his own worst mistake by betraying Michael. But that's with Hindsight that none of the characters would have (at the time anyway)
I don’t know if things would have changed much if Appolonia had lived. Michael still would have taken over the family with Sonny dead and Fredo being incompetent. Maybe Michael would have Been a little less vengeful but he still probably would have eliminated the family’s enemies. Appolonia probably would have been a better mafia wife since as a Sicilian she would be more familiar with the lifestyle then Kay was.
I just finished watching an old episode of the Twilight Zone, starring Richard Conte (Don Emilio Barzini). 'Great seeing Godfather stars in very different roles.

I think the book version where he sends a Hitman works the best. That way before his death Fabrizio knows why and who, AND that he wasn't important enough for Michael to show up personally.
What did the Don teach Michael,"That there was no Greater Lesson in Life, than to have your Enemies overestimate your Faults, while allowing those Close to you to,Underestimate your Virtues"!!!
Fabrizio, a locally famous pastry chef was promised passage to America & a Bakery in Brooklyn.by Sonny Corleone. When Sonny was killed, Michael gave the promised business to Enzo The Baker.
What? Michael's change came at the hospital as soon as he realized his father was set up to be alone..brought on Enzo, stood upto the cop, then plotted the murder.
Movie version is better. Poetic justice. And Michael would be a fool to regress to a button-man in his position just for the sake of personal revenge. Too many loose ends. And how would the scene play out. Michael just walks in and blasts Fabrizio? or there's a confrontation? Better to keep the scene as is and then cut it from the final edit.

In the book, Michael was nursed back to health by a woman named Filomena who had ties with Luca Brasi. After committing an unspeakable act at the behest of Luca and unable to continue her work as a midwife, Don Vito arranged for her to return to Sicily.
Barzini had a knack for recruiting people that Michael trusted. First Fabrizio, then Tessio, a man who had been like an uncle to Michael.
Mike would have had a stronger family with Apolonia than Kay..... Kay was not built for that life and Godfather 3 was a travesty of a film

A brilliant narration of the Godfather.
The character betrayed him because that is how the book and script were written.

I betrayed Corleone because the don was semi-retired. They’re getting pushed out of New York by barzini and the other dons.
Hello, from Buffalo! I always wondered if the pizzeria was supposed to be La Nova???
