Rise feels underrated to me. Its so fun and a nice new take on the turtles

I like Rise a lot but it took a while to gain any story depth and I just couldn't get very invested. The animation is AMAZING though and the comedic timing is great.
The animation style for Rise is poor, and a lot, but not all, of the humor simply falls short to me. I didn’t even grow up watching any of these shows either.

I think 2012 show is the best
2012 is my favourite because it really captured the heart of family, friendship and brotherhood. The relationship between the brothers was beautiful and unbreakable and the plots and storyline were incredible. Also, the comedy to balance out the action made it so much more enjoyable and I loved how they had the balls to add in some dark moments and even kill Splinter on screen...twice. 💙💜❤🧡

My list is going to be on a more different topic, instead I’m going to rank every incarnation based on the Turtles themselves, rather than the whole incarnation, I feel it would be a lot easier to do since you don’t need to know too much about each series to get a good idea of how each portray Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo. But I’ll still include some details on the incarnations as a whole.
10. Next Mutation
I completely agree with you here, they do look like play doh, and their personalities feel like dumber and cringier versions of the original personalities, hands down worst of the worst.
9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III
I feel the same way about how they’re portrayed in this movie as they are in Next Mutation, but there are some positives. The voices aren’t the worst, they’re weird, but better. I find the designs to be a bit overhated, yeah they’re clearly awful, but there’s been worse, trust me. Other than that, garbage Turtles, garbage movie.
8. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I know a lot of people are going to hate me for this, but I just don’t like this show at all. All the Turtles feel exactly the same but with slight changes representing who they’re are, but in reality, it’s just Big Brother Raphael, Asshole Donatello, Egotistical Leonardo, and way too mature for his character Michelangelo.
7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)
I personally find these Turtles to be a bit overhated, I feel it’s just the movie ruining them, rather than them ruining the movie. Yeah the designs are some of the worst, but they’re voices, personality, interactions I feel are pretty good, not too bad, I can see myself watching again.
6. TMNT (2007)
I personally like this movie, I like the idea of it being an aftermath of their adventures, and seeing how their lives would be once there is peace, plus the designs, voices, and personalities of each Turtle are pretty underrated. The only problem I have with it, is Donatello and Michelangelo, they seem more used for comic relief rather than characters important to the story like Leonardo and Raphael.
5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987)
NOW I know a lot of people are going to get mad at me, let me explain. At first, I would’ve considered them to be one of the best incarnations of the TMNT, each turtle defines they’re lighthearted, comedic side to them like Raphael’s Sarcasm and Michelangelo’s Immaturity as an example. But as the show got on, it gradually got worse, there were more stupid characters no one liked joining in like the Easter Bunny and Carter, the show got darker, ruining the whole mood of the show, and Michelangelo started using a grappling hook, what was that about? It started off strong, but ended miserably.
4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze
Now I feel these are the definitive editions of comic relief Turtles, it represents everything that was good about the 87 series and put it into a movie, and since it came out in 91, it had none of the stupid crap the 87 series spewed out later on, making me think it was better
3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)
Now I know a lot of people think this is the best incarnation, I wouldn’t be surprised, the designs look like what I’d imagine real life TMNT to be, the voices and personalities are perfect, and the movie overall is probably one of my favorite movies of all time. My only problem is that it strictly stayed true to the comics, and didn’t really include much from them, so I felt it was a tad boring for my tastes, but not too boring, far from it.
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012)
I’m not surprised this is Kevin Eastman’s favorite incarnation, it’s absolutely amazing. This show has everything Ninja Turtles in it, and the Turtles themselves are pretty spot on, mixing in a good blend of their seriousness, comedy, and emotion (especially emotion) my only problem with this, isn’t even really a problem, it’s more of an opinion. The 2012 series has this sort of “Nickelodeon” style to it that makes me not really into it, I don’t know what it is, but it’s making me put this at number two.
1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003)
Look... these are the Ninja Turtles. When I think of TMNT, when I think about the franchise overall, this is the incarnation I think of first. Leonardo, brave, honorable, has actual personality, he’s perfect! Donatello, not too nerdy, super important in the series, probably one of his smartest incarnations, outstanding! Raphael, badass, mighty, copes with his anger and loves his family without looking too much like a softie, incredible. Michelangelo, hilarious, skillful, someone I’d like to hang out with, he’s awesome. These Turtles, everything about them is basically perfect, and they fix all the problems I have with them in other incarnations. And as for the series itself, it’s beautiful, where do I begin, it stays true to the comics while it has it’s own original blend too it. It’s not as funny and kid-friendly as the 87 series, nor is it as well written and story filled as the 2012 series. But it has a perfect blend of everything fans love about TMNT, I have nothing more to say than it’s the best incarnation.

For rottmnt, 1. They are really similar?? How dare they, all of them enjoy playing games?? WHEN THEY ARE TEENAGERS?? :0 Unbelievable 2. And a 13 year old naive kid being TOO MATURE, they really messed up on that one :) 3. For the other character I will give it too you I guess, but there is more to them 4. Ralph has this soft 'awww' kinda feel idk how to explain it, Donnie is kinda full of his skills and he has every right I guess, the stuff he makes ^3^, and Leo has this power speech and competitive (they all have sibling rivalry but)

For me personally I grew up with the 2012 turtles which were and still are my favorite version they were a mix of the 2003 and 1987 turtles like this series knew how to fit action and comedy into one whole series the fight scenes were amazing the way they portray the turtles love interest always amazed me and is one of another factors on why I love this show so much to bad it got cancelled bc I kinda felt like something big was coming in the final episode ngl like the story was never fully finished there were so many questions that were never answered honestly
2012 is the best. I have good memories of the 2003 shows, but 2012 simply trumps it.

The Harry Channel you need to watch it it’s fucking fantastic it came out the year after I was born so I have insane mentors and nostalgia from it buts imo it’s truly the best but 2012 is amazing also
I know this is kinda old but rise in 8th place? I got my doubts about the show at the beginning too but it is one of the greatest, the sick animation, the good jokes, the lovely characters and the greatest fight scenes in an occidental animation ever. Man, rise is amazing, it have a fresh take on the turtles, changing things like shredder being a fuking demond, or the turtles being different species (something that i really appreciate) the backstory of splinter is a lot funnier and April, in my opinion, is the best version of the character, she is strong, funny, skilled, does not have stupid dramas and have a not uncomfortable relationship with Donnie. Also the heart touching scenes at the end of the 2nd season made me cry. Gotta be honest, rise of the TMNT is my favorite show of them all, not for a lot anyway. With the 2012 tmnt in the 2nd place

personally I would rearrange the top three a bit, make it 2012, 1987, then the movie. I would also raise the 2007 movie up to #4, mostly because I grew up with that one.

I grew up with tnmt 2012 but it's the best because it in the name,the act like teens and the design show that
I watched the first movie and I thought it was pretty good, I like it. But I ultimately love the 2003 to the 2012 version, both versions were awesome and a little mix of comedy to be epicly badass. The theme songs are catchy, the animation/3D style is absolutely amazing and the voice acting is totally awesome. Especially when I know all the voice actors from the 2012 version like Sean Astin and Rob Pualson and even Greg Cipes. It's definitely and always will be my favorites.

if i put nostalgia aside, looking only at how they stack up today, the 87 series would have to go between the "rise of the TMNT" and the Michael Bay films.
i think my favorite 3 designs are from injustice 2, the 2012 animated series and the 2013 game "out of the shadows"
I agree with those design choices, there the best versions. I liked the 2007 versions, but not the outfits they wore. The belts and stuff just bugged me being tied in knots like that

Ah yes, let me point something out here. In the original comics you could see him watch television, in one panel clearly showing him cheer on Speed Racer. In the 1987 cartoon there were a couple of moments when you saw him watching alongside the turtles for news reports. While I will point out that this is one thing that Rise got right, having that Splinter treat the turtles like shit was just one of the few reasons why I never followed that iteration.
Honestly for me the main things that rise has going for it is the turtles bring multiple types of turtle and a splinter that’s basically given up
Like Splinter basically giving up can be done well if maybe there’s a tragedy or something, or maybe a later season story arc of splinter going senile or something and it’s better than next mutation describing splinter as “an arthritic rat” and then never doing anything with that tidbit

2. TMNT 2007- I like the design and how the made Leo and Raph’s character development

4. Mike Bay Turtles- I love the fact that they’re interactions were serious at times and had its fair share of comedy

My favorite is the 1987,2003,and 2012 version. Rise is ok, the next mutation no good at all. Now for the movie my favorite is the first movie and the 2007 one too, the second one pretty funny in a good way, the michael bay ones all right never cared for them, the third movie no good.

Ya there's a time where something stops being an opinion and is just wrong. The 1990 tmnt at number 6? Lmfao
The original comic book creators worked on that film and Jim Henson worked on that film. The 90's film is better then Micheal bays reskinned transformers movies in every single way. Costume design, set design, props, animatronics, world, gritty, etc. Horrible list. I've seen videos where people make points on why it's absolutely crazy to think the over use of computer animators hurt film but I can think of more reasons why it has then why it hasn't . No matter what cg spectacle is on screen it will never be as impressive as Practical effects artists and in camera effects for actors to work off of. If the industry used cg where practical can't and fused them together then that's where movies come out the best but that's rare.
They got a vehicle manufacturer to create a real spinner for Ryan Gosling to stand next to and sit in during scenes in blade runner 2049 and it gets the viewer and the actors completely immersed in that world. They brought that vehicle to different museums and I got to see it in person it was absolutely amazing. They also had miniatures and different props from the original blade runner also and seeing them in person is crazy. 30 years later and fans/prop replica creators are still trying to get the turtle masks from those movies right and still perfecting Harrison ford's blaster, led signs, clothing, etc. Right now I can picture the footclans base with ramps, pinball machines, pool tables, graffiti, etc. I can't remember anything about the Micheal
Bay films except the awful designs, the girl from transformers, and a giant cgi spectacle happens. Rant over sorry for the novel but I had to get it out.

@@HonkeyKong54 here's the thing, as much as you may like the 1990s, claiming that the organic stuff is always better or things similar to that; some people look beyond aesthetics and look more for what they enjoy. I personally enjoy looking at the designs for the bayverse movies because they add on and show their personality, perhaps it's because I'm a little biased as someone who enjoys animation more (and knows the pains the animators had to go through). I feel like in your response you simply used effects of nostalgia and what *you* think is better in terms of movie effects. Here's the things, *opinions can't be wrong*. Can the facts and evidence they use to back up their opinions be wrong, yeah, but opinions still can't be wrong.

Just gonna point out that the 2007 movie had Sir Patric Stewart as the initial villain, Captain America as Casey Jones, and freaking Buffy the Vampire Slayer as April. That alone should have boosted its placement.

4- TMNT 87: people may kill me for this, but in my opnion it's not the best, I feel like it's pretty dated, it's too late 80s and early 90s for me, but is only my opnion.
3- TMNT 2012: I enjoyed this a lot, it has the best writing in the series, a lot of heart, great characters, and awesome stories! But sometimes everything became too crazy, feeling like something that would appear in fan fictions
2- ROTTMNT: People say this version is bad, and I couldn't disagree more, it has wonderfull animation and great character development, with the turtles starting as huge goofs and ending as great ninjas, the personalities also develops very well, and Splinter may start bad, but it reveals that he is a Mister Myiagi kind of teacher, it's very different and I like it
1- TMNT 03: It may be my nostalgia speaking higher, but I love this version! Great animation, great characters, great story, everything is great! This version was my childhood, and how amazing it was, it may have dragged itself for too long, but I don't really mind, TMNT 03 it's my favorite in the series!
I grew up on the 2012 series, therefore it is my favorite. I must agree that the next mutation is the absolute worst of the TMNT franchise.
2012 was amazing I tried watching 2018 but I was grossed out they disrespected all of the shows and comics I read an article about how u shouldn’t hate it because it could be the first ninja turtle show they ever see and blah blah and I get that but how they made the character’s personality is just insulting WHY IS RAPH THE LEADER WHY IS HE SO HUGE WHY IS EVERYONE ELSE STUPID especially master splinter they did the man so dirty I’ll do anything to make it right 😪

I understand how you feel about ROTTMNT. I was like that too, but then I started watching few clip because RUclips recommend me to watch it during quarantine. And I started loving it. I dislike how they turn Splinter but after watch few episodes he's not that bad. The characters look goofy but by the time I watch episode 1,i fell in love with rottmnt. The animation are so amazing!! I saw spoiler of the last episode and it gives me goosebumps from the start of the video to the end.

#1 deserves it spot. Sure everyone can make fun of it, but its the most internationally known, longest running( 10 years Sat Morn run), and culturally significant that made it an icon.! Your right, there is still merchandise made of this sucker and I will never grow tired of it!
I love the original but the 2012 is my fav, I watch everyday over and over morning and night
None of the 3 original live action movies should be at the bottom. They are all my top TMNT experiences.
TMNT 2003 is my fav it's my #1 one I dig the story arcs, the introduction of Bishop the version of leatherhead, and the utrom shredder
2012 TMNT is good too they did good with splinter the sense of brotherhood between the turtles. I wish though they expanded on more story arcs and their world

I would place the 1990 flick as the best adaptation ever. It was the perfect blend between the lighthearted cartoons and the gritty comics, taking the best part of each of them.
Definitely the 1987 turtles are the best :D
Only other thing I have to say (though it was almost three years ago you posted this, so I'm sure you solved it by now in later videos :) ), your audio volume is way lower compared to your movie/TV volume, so I had to constantly change the volume up and down, lol.
Nick was my introduction to TMNT and from there I was all about TMNT now as a 10 year old (soon to be 11) I still play (Playmates toys watch (Not the next mutation or bay films) and collect TMNT (The neca figures)

Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012 series is number 1 favorite of TMNT franchise, Nickelodeon's Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2018 series is my second favorite of TMNT franchise. 🙂
