@ Danny Winget - You are correct in other words; it is not worth upgrading from the Galaxy Note 9 to the Galaxy Note 10+ because of a minor difference in the cameras. In my opinion, the Note 9 has the best camera. I will advise everyone to hold on to their Galaxy Note 9 for as long as they can, and be careful applying updates to your phone, because it may be an update out there that eventually will destroy your Note 9 to force you to upgrade. Samsung didn't do well this time other than created a larger screen. "Real Talk".

@@nobody5372 It's replaced by both. They are the newer models. The 9 is a terrific phone. However it's old tech. I upgraded and don't miss the headphone jack enough to hate it. I bought my Note 9 October 2018. I cannot see giving up this phone for anything on the market today. Speaking about to-day, I was on the tread mill when my bluetooth earphone ran out of juice. My tried and true earphones which came with the Note 9 answered the call of duty. Now, what would have been my situation with the newer phones! Not too good. If it doesn't have an earphone jack, then it doesn't have me as a customer. And, oh, bought two, one for the wife and she's under the same opinion. What would persuade me to leave it? Give me a Fold, with an "S" pen, earphone jack and 5G. Anything short of that, I'm not even interested. And I would gladly pay $1,600 to 2K for it and keep it for 3-5 years without question. For now, the Note 9 is THE phone and none other comes close to this BEAST.
Actually I will stay with note 9 It has headphone jack, wireless charge, beautifully display with out any dig or notch And the blue colour with yellow pen is just awesome
Bought the Note 9, instead of the 10/10+ because I am a rare breed of people who still use wired headhones and I will stay that way. I have ways of maintaining battery life for longer so that isn't an issue. The storage isn't an issue either because I got the 512GB edition. The camera is more than enough for my needs. I will not buy a phone without a headphone jack. I refuse.
Im using the Note 10+ and its better than any other Note. The fact it has on board memory that is 250 gb and Ram is 12gb, battery lasts all day. Is using a better processor and the S pen can do more than that of the noe 9
My Note 5 finally crapped out on me...and when I brought it in to VZW for an insurance replacement, I recvd a new Note 9 instead (The 5 was too old) 😂😂 I got a HELL of a replacement. What a BEAST!
@@christiesilva6918 I've never owned a Note where the battery was superb. For a "powerhouse" device, they weren't great battery wise. I can't remember if my Note 9 had a bad battery life, but it wasn't great either 😕🤷🏽♀️
Great video! I thought about upgrading to the Note 10 plus, but then realized that it's not much of an upgrade in my opinion... I think I'm going to wait for the Note 11. Great video again man!
I actually bought the note 10 and returned it because it had too many issues such as poor battery life, the screen had a very noticeable pink hue to it in direct sunlight and you could see the fingerprint scanner underneath the screen. I opted to buy a brand new note 9 for 650 and I have no regrets at all. Long live the note 9!!!!!
I get up at 0500 and still have battery left when I go to bed at 2200. Bought the 512 one with the intention of having it for 3-4 years. We'll see what next year brings, but I think you're right when you say this is the last no compromise note.
I was waiting for the Note 10 to come out before replacing my Note 8. But when I found out the price I decided to invest in the 9 instead. Not disappointed. So by the time Note 12 comes...I will be ready to purchase the Note10.
The note 10 was perfect for me cause I never used the headphone jack, never needed a SD card for storage, like the small phone with big screen form factor, hate the fingerprint on the note 9, but the real reason i bought the note 10 was the trade in program, if it wasn't for that buying the note 10 would have been a horrible decision for full retail price
Based on this review and from cnet, I opted for the Note 9 instead of Note 10/Note 10+. Just ordered it brand new on eBay for $475 + tax. Upgrading from a Samsung Galaxy S8+ which is still a fine phone. Can't justify spending over $900 for a phone anymore.
What I do is wait till a new flagship gets released then buy the previous years model on a great I honestly dont care about having the latest and greatest every year 2 blow a 1000 bucks
Last year, I'm looking for a smartphone that has a big display, SD845, 4000mah battery or more, NFC, 3,5jack, great camera, and there is only one that shows up in the search engine, yes it is NOTE 9, never think twice, buy it, never dissapointing, all I want is all in it...
I hate how the S10+ is the only one to have 1TB/12GB RAM and the S10 5G doesn't have that along with no expandable storage BUT the S10 5G has the ToF cameras.
@@RecenziiPeBune there is no need to even shortlist note 10 or plus then. as they are basically a slightly upgraded s series model. If I don't use s pen I should have bought the one plus 7 pro.
For me the only logical upgrade, If you wanted to, would be from the Note9 to Note10+ or stick with your Note9. The Note10 just has far too many compromises: No Headphone Jack No Expandable Storage 1080p dislpay only No fast 45W charging (if you need it) Tiny 3500mAh battery $949 / £869 The Note9 is the last Samsung that can be considered the swiss-army knife of phones. Hopefully the S Series stays in good place. I mean if they can fit a pen in the Note10, they can put a headphone jack in the S11e, S11 or S11+. The whole current galaxy S line is evident of that.
I love the note 10+ display and reverse charging but I am sticking with my note 9. I feel it is still a great phone and the note 10+ is "TGH" in price to not have a headphone jack !!
I'm watching this on my note 9. It's the best phone ever. I've had it for almost 2 years now and still works beautifully. After my phones last big update I now have the note 10's programming and everything and is now even cooler and better. I accidentally discovered it when I found it in my phones settings in phone details.
If I could go back I would! I would have got the Note 9 for a few reasons. Better screen, fingerprint sensor, headphones, expandable memory... But now I'm stuck with my Note 10. Blah. Not pleased. Only that when my battery gets drained super fast, I can charge it pretty fast too. One episode on Netflix and back to 100.
Battery life has definitely taken a hit over time with aging and the one ui pie update. But still a pretty good battery. Much cheaper to buy a power pack than a new phone
I had to wait for my contract to expire on my previous phone. I finally got the Note9. I think it will be a great vlogger phone. Bought it for the camera features, headphone/mic Jack & SD card features. I take my SD cards & run them through my computer for editing. Plus I often switch out SD cards. I have to admit, I am blowing through my battery watching YT vids. I keep a portable charger on me when out & about to recharge my phone. Thanks so much for your review 👍😎

I've been on my note 9 for a year and I'm not a fan. Gets hot quickly, battery is getting pretty sketchy after only one year, heavy, fingerprint scanner is a pain in the ass considering how large this phone is and where the scanner is located, face recognition is useless if you wear sunglasses a lot etc etc.
First I wanted to buy the Note10 but at long last I decided to buy the Note 9 and it is a Beast just love it and I just spent 400€ instead of 1000 € for a Note 10
Great video! I bought a new note 10+ but I haven't opened the box yet because I'm still on the fence whether I want to keep it or return it and get a note 9 for half the price. Obviously the 10+ has more features and power, but the note 9 is still a powerful contender!
How's the battery life doing? My note 9 is on auto brightness and optimized power mode and it lasts all day but otherwise would have to plug it in if auto brightness is off. Also, zooming sensor doesn't function
@@izzaahmad1966 mine lasts all day with medium to heavy use. I keep it on medium power saving. Sot is bw 7 to 8 hrs. Mines the exynos version. Still really happy with it

@@izzaahmad1966 cpu not limited but app data is, except for essential ones. Battery life is not the strongest point of the exynos so we have to make compromises. Thank you. This helped me with my decision between a Note 9 or 10. Headphone jack and sd card options are a BIG DEAL to me n families/friends from our conversations. I look for those when phone shopping. So 9 it is for me. Thanks!
I still don't understand the note 10 problem is. Samsung gave us the 10+ which is what we expect from the note line. They give us a second one for the people who don't necessarily need all that the 10+ offers but still love the Note series. Also some people have really tiny hands lol
I just bought a refurbished Note 9 with a 12 month warranty for 270 euros. It has only a few small scratches but is otherwise in pristine condition. The value you get with this phone is insane. 270 euros for 99% of what you get with the newer flagships for $1100+, and IMO it looks better too. No notch, no punchhole, no nothing. They put the punchhole in the bottom of the phone instead and made it a headphone jack :D
Still loving my note9, and wont be upgrading anytime soon . I'm actually going to be buying another note 9, I'm looking for the 512gb 8gb ram model used in good condition.. I missed out on a mint one for $450 a couple wks ago, I didn't want to drive 3hrs 1 way. I probably should have made a wkend trip out of it I. Northern Michigan
Bought a lightly used Note 9 for my bday last month, have to say the Note 9 a year later is still a beast, and power user dream. The DeX feature is underrated , Expandable storage is a must, headphone Jack a plus, large battery always nice, top screen display still a year later, all for less then $500, you be a fool to pass it up.
At this point I'm stunned there are people still doing yearly updates on smartphones. We've hit laptop territory, the improvements are so incremental that for 99% of users it makes zero sense to upgrade yearly. Which is unfortunately part of the reason that phone prices seem to be even more excessive than in times past, with people realizing their brand new phone isn't much different than their year, or even 2 year old one...
Thanks for the review. I am seriously considering the 9..like you said a refurbished I can find for $450! (Just hope all is ok!) I've bought refurbished before and never had problems. I have had Apple since 2007...so its a change in brand and especially OS, Im sure Ill learn Android fast though! I was looking ay the 10 Notes...NO SD card slots, oh c'mon! S9 slapping a 256GB card in there...that alone is a massive storage boost for me. No headphone jack, NOT a deal breaker since my current XS Max doesnt have it...but having one again (without some goofball Apple dongle) would be awesome. The screen looks insanely amazing, the battery is massive. Pictures look great, I would LOVE to play with the SUPER slow mo video..oh and it has night mode photos already with the camera. So it's a 2018 phone, I'll keep the XS Max and swap back and forth. but damn I may find myself using the Samsung more than the Apple. Thanks for the review.
i am glad i bought the note 9 & ordered bnew battery kit that i can use to replace battery inside 1 year after the battery capacity goes down to 60%... i have a video tutorial on how to replace battery.. water resistance might be affected but if i reinstall the back cover correctly then maybe it wil still be water resistant.. no worries abt. chwcking the water resistance because i can test my note 9 even without putting it under water.. it is called the pressure test included in the note 9.. if i put pressure on my note 9 & the preasure sensor increases that means it is still has pressure inside & no air is comming out of the phone thar means it is still sealed & water resistant...
I love my Note 4. A solid phone but I am afraid it is going to die. The other day it just froze and then I pulled the battery and put it back in. It would not turn on. I did a few times and no luck so I left the battery out for the night. Now it turns on but I had a freeze on the phone again. I think I have pushed it to the limits all these years.

I will stay with my note 9
Actually I will stay with note 9
It has headphone jack, wireless charge, beautifully display with out any dig or notch
And the blue colour with yellow pen is just awesome
$600 dollars which is an insane deal...
Meanwhile, it's $538. What type of deal is that now?
I have a note 9 and what could I say? I love it so much!
Got a Samsung Note 9 instead of the Note 10... agree with your review
I refuse.
Yeah so am i...still use wired one also..and it looks cool..kkk
Im using the Note 10+ and its better than any other Note. The fact it has on board memory that is 250 gb and Ram is 12gb, battery lasts all day. Is using a better processor and the S pen can do more than that of the noe 9
Maybe there's a problem with your model but my note 9's battery is absolutely amazing!
After nearly a decade, I switched to android from iOS only because of Note 9 💝..
Good choice
I been having the Note9 ever since it came out and this is the best phone ive ever had, probably last me 3 generations 😍
My Note 5 finally crapped out on me...and when I brought it in to VZW for an insurance replacement, I recvd a new Note 9 instead (The 5 was too old) 😂😂
I got a HELL of a replacement. What a BEAST!
Note 5 ..such a beautiful phone to bad the battery didn.t last a day...
@@christiesilva6918
I've never owned a Note where the battery was superb.
Is it worth buying note 9 in 2020?
Thanks for this! Think I'll be getting the Note 9 instead.
You'll love it!
I definently stay with my note 9!
Of course Note 9...bec most of features of Note 10+ can find in Note 9...with half of prices too
maybe youre correct ..but a 10+ of course is a beast
Based on this review and from cnet, I opted for the Note 9 instead of Note 10/Note 10+. Just ordered it brand new on eBay for $475 + tax. Upgrading from a Samsung Galaxy S8+ which is still a fine phone. Can't justify spending over $900 for a phone anymore.
What I do is wait till a new flagship gets released then buy the previous years model on a great I honestly dont care about having the latest and greatest every year 2 blow a 1000 bucks
Besides it's ruining the planet, people have gotten so greedy throwing away phones to get the "newer and better" model
Or... get the S10+, it has almost the same hardware as Note 10+.
I hate how the S10+ is the only one to have 1TB/12GB RAM and the S10 5G doesn't have that along with no expandable storage BUT the S10 5G has the ToF cameras.
It don't have s pen. It's not an alternative to the note fan fanbase
@@RecenziiPeBune there is no need to even shortlist note 10 or plus then. as they are basically a slightly upgraded s series model. If I don't use s pen I should have bought the one plus 7 pro.
@@RecenziiPeBune yeah but why would an average consumer get the note? If you do not use the S pen then there is no need.
People buy note series because of the spen the feature does not have in other devices
For me the only logical upgrade, If you wanted to, would be from the Note9 to Note10+ or stick with your Note9. The Note10 just has far too many compromises:
No Headphone Jack
No Expandable Storage
1080p dislpay only
No fast 45W charging (if you need it)
Tiny 3500mAh battery
$949 / £869
The Note9 is the last Samsung that can be considered the swiss-army knife of phones.
Watching on Note 9. Using for 1 year
Perfect phone ever used.
No any lag or heat.
Bought my note 9 new on eBay for $460.00. Coming from an LG G4 it's quite an upgrade.
I saw one selling for 369.but think it was refurbished
I had to wait for my contract to expire on my previous phone. I finally got the Note9. I think it will be a great vlogger phone. Bought it for the camera features, headphone/mic Jack & SD card features. I take my SD cards & run them through my computer for editing. Plus I often switch out SD cards. I have to admit, I am blowing through my battery watching YT vids. I keep a portable charger on me when out & about to recharge my phone. Thanks so much for your review 👍😎
Though they don't have a big difference, no doubt the Note 10 is the prettiest of all Note series.
switched from iphone 7 , got my note 9 a month ago.. really loved it.. best phone so far
I love my. Samsung galaxy Note 9. From 2020.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Watching this on my new note9 just arrived today bought new off Amazon deal of the day for $499.00 so far everything is great. At that price level it can't be beat.
I love my galaxy Note 9 , I don't recommend anyone to upgrade to Note 10 . Still Note 9 is the beast
Agreed
I love my note 9 would get Reid of it for nothing
I've been on my note 9 for a year and I'm not a fan. Gets hot quickly, battery is getting pretty sketchy after only one year, heavy, fingerprint scanner is a pain in the ass considering how large this phone is and where the scanner is located, face recognition is useless if you wear sunglasses a lot etc etc.
watching it on my note 9, thanks . Note 9 is the best and yeah for me the battery is not really a issue on my note 9
Bought my Note 9 about 2 months ago. Best phone I've had in my life!! Not upgrading for at least 5 years!! Shhhh! Don't tell Samsung!
Yeah just curious..what will hapoen when 5g cones out..will our note get slower? Thanks
@@christiesilva6918 I think we're good for at least another 3 years.
Thx for the review! I plan on getting a note 9 now instead of the 10. I NEED a headphone jack. Lol
First I wanted to buy the Note10 but at long last I decided to buy the Note 9 and it is a Beast just love it and I just spent 400€ instead of 1000 € for a Note 10
My battery life is good as I use medium power saving but I switch off the option to limit CPU speed to 70%
Great video!
I bought a new note 10+ but I haven't opened the box yet because I'm still on the fence whether I want to keep it or return it and get a note 9 for half the price. Obviously the 10+ has more features and power, but the note 9 is still a powerful contender!
Totally. Sticking with my note 9. Will wait for the 11 series to see if it's worth upgrading
How's the battery life doing? My note 9 is on auto brightness and optimized power mode and it lasts all day but otherwise would have to plug it in if auto brightness is off. Also, zooming sensor doesn't function
how mucH screen on time you are getting?
@@izzaahmad1966 mine lasts all day with medium to heavy use. I keep it on medium power saving. Sot is bw 7 to 8 hrs. Mines the exynos version. Still really happy with it
@@lapirk mine is also exynos one, on optimised with auto brightness set up I get 7hrs or so usage still. Which is good but on Medium power, have you limited CPU limit & background app data usage? I wouldn't want to turn off data on apps. My issue is just the zoom in sensor issue which is hardware otherwise going strong!
@@izzaahmad1966 cpu not limited but app data is, except for essential ones. Battery life is not the strongest point of the exynos so we have to make compromises. I would def say I use it pretty heavily. WiFi, data, bt are always being used. I didn't understand your zoom in sensor issue. You mean two finger usage?
Thank you. This helped me with my decision between a Note 9 or 10. Headphone jack and sd card options are a BIG DEAL to me n families/friends from our conversations. I look for those when phone shopping. So 9 it is for me. Thanks!
Bought and returned the Note 10, went back to the Note 9.
I still don't understand the note 10 problem is. Samsung gave us the 10+ which is what we expect from the note line. They give us a second one for the people who don't necessarily need all that the 10+ offers but still love the Note series. Also some people have really tiny hands lol
The price is the problem. It’s only $150 cheaper and gives you way less
It's the reality of the situation. Phones are getting more expensive and it's not stopping.
I agree with you
No Headphone Jack.
No Heartrate monitor.
No notch.
No way.
Pay more, get less.
Samsung is now Apple.
Love My note 9 and I am resisting the temptation and will wait for the note 11 😁
there will be no note for 2020 they will release the S20's and Samsung One version and fold.. note 10lite and note10e if im not wrong
@@frozenangell1 😩😩😩😭 I will have to stick with this one for that long 😭, then I guess I will have to buy the note 10
Even if this video is almost 1 y.o. ... I hope that Note 9 is still indeed the best choice from best for value perspective now..
I'm buying the note 9 in 2 days and I'm sooo excited
How is it so far ??
At this point I'm stunned there are people still doing yearly updates on smartphones. We've hit laptop territory, the improvements are so incremental that for 99% of users it makes zero sense to upgrade yearly.
Which is unfortunately part of the reason that phone prices seem to be even more excessive than in times past, with people realizing their brand new phone isn't much different than their year, or even 2 year old one...
i bought note 9 3 weeks ago and i love it ❤❤ Beautiful mobile ❤ with Samsung flagship you never get bored
i just ordered one.
I will keep my note 9 for the next 10 years. Lol
Lol
I doubt it but that sounds good
if you get the note 9 12GB ram with 1TB rom you can use it up to 20yrs 🙂
@@frozenangell1 no way would it lay 20 years. Lmao..... sealed battery means 5 at max
Agree i Still have my s2 and it's were running android 10 gold never get old
i am glad i bought the note 9 & ordered bnew battery kit that i can use to replace battery inside 1 year after the battery capacity goes down to 60%... i have a video tutorial on how to replace battery.. water resistance might be affected but if i reinstall the back cover correctly then maybe it wil still be water resistant.. no worries abt. chwcking the water resistance because i can test my note 9 even without putting it under water.. it is called the pressure test included in the note 9.. if i put pressure on my note 9 & the preasure sensor increases that means it is still has pressure inside & no air is comming out of the phone thar means it is still sealed & water resistant...
Still using my note 4. Good phone.
I loved my Note 4.
I love my Note 4. A solid phone but I am afraid it is going to die. The other day it just froze and then I pulled the battery and put it back in. It would not turn on.
