This is beautiful! I'm sorry this video caused you to get discouraged but I think you should continue doing what you are doing! The world is blessed to hear your voice
@DavidWesley if it makes a difference, every channel has their ups and downs and unpleasant and unexpected results of random videos, and then you never know, but one random day this video could hit the algorithm again and get a ton more views. Sometimes there is no explanation. Don't give up
This is just part of a downwards trend. The virtual choirs in particular are no more popular than videos that take a tiny fraction of the time needed to produce them. Why do 20x more work for the same results?😭
@@DavidWesley Just Know that I am blessed and so many others too. We need this so you are doing God's will and God will surely reward You... Pls don't stop.
It was on his Go West Young Man album. It took a few years before it really took off and hit the main stream worship. I fell in love with it from day one.
I was a pioneer back in the 1970’s when churches moved from organs and pianos to guitars and choruses. So much older now, I still believe the 1990’s are the pinnacle of contemporary worship! Thank you for this video!
Mr. Wesley: Let me reiterate (what I put on your latest post): *DO. NOT. GIVE. UP.* Persevere! “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” - 1 Corinthians 15:58 You work for the **Lord*, man! Now. No more talk about “sticking to medical”. Nothing is more healing to the spirit than *Praise*! Do you hear me??? Praise, is *more* important even than medical, because medical is temporal/ physical - but praise is *eternal*! Chin up, and keep on, keeping on! P.S. - Well done! 👏 👏 👏! But even more importantly: Praise be to God! Amen? 👂 Amen. Good. Glad we got that cleared up. 😉 😂 God Bless you, and thank you for continuing to share your gift!
Oh, and P.S. - There see people watching and listening that do not have RUclips accounts, so they cannot click “like”. Never trust a “like” as a sign people are responding. Some of us are old, and are not fond of giving up privacy for the privilege of social media. 😂
This isn’t about likes, really. This is about whether my channel is sustainable. I have to support my family in a world that is getting ever more expensive. I have less and less time that I can spare for making music.
This was WONDERFUL!!! Many of these were songs that got me through our sons illness and subsequent physical disability (quadriplegic with no speech) in 1999. Thank You for this as it was just the boost I needed today after our son had a rough night last night… but our Loving God is SO Faithful and was/is with us at ALL times❣️ Blessings to You and ALL who see this comment and upon Your Families and Those You Love and Care About!! In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen and AMEN!❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
I was born in 2003. There are some songs in here I knew, and that I knew were from the 90s; there were some songs that I didn’t know, and did not know were from the 90s; and there were some that I didn’t know at all, just like in the 1980s medley. Next stop: the 2000s. And no 2000s medley would be complete without God of Wonders, In Christ Alone, Revelation Song, Speak O Lord, and potentially Mighty to Save by Hillsong (though I’m not always a big Hillsong fan, and a part of me wish I had checked the doctrinal soundness of Days of Elijah before I submitted it as a request). Still, great job, and God bless!
Thanks David for the stroll down memory lane. My eyes were open to what Jesus had done in 1994 and life has been so much better since. These songs helped me switch from a Catholic understanding of who Jesus was, to a personal relationship with Him.
This is excellent! Such a flashback to growing up and thinking about how much God did in my life. Every song brought a back memories and a thankfulness for God's goodness and faithfulness.
Every single one of these is far better than anything put out today from the likes of hill song, elevation, bethel or the other popular bands used in modern worship at far too many churches, including the one I currently attend. I stay because the messages are still biblical
There were plenty of sketchy songs in the 1990’s too - lots of “Jesus is my boyfriend” songs and other bad theology. It exists everywhere and in every era.
Wonderful! A decade that produced some powerful songs about our awesome Savior! Well done, I found myself singing along and a few times I thought, "I'd love to hear David do that entire song!"
I agree! I'd like to hear you David to a cover on ALL these great worship songs. Couldn't help but sing along, worshipping Him - I knew all of them except three. "Shout to the LORD all the earth, let us sing!"
I'm not even religious anymore but I must have followed your channel years ago. I randomly got a notification for this video tonight and, wow, that was a hit in the nostalgia. Thank you for the good memories! I'll be humming some of these this week!
I was born in 2003 but still grew up listening to a lot of these. Always cool to see how people have always been worshipping our Lord. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!
I love this, these are the songs of my baby Christianity. ❤ Many brought tears, and had forgotten a few of them, so happy to remember them now! Thank you!!
My mom was one of the worship leaders at our church growing up, she passed almost 8 years ago. This is most definitely a tear jerker but such a good reminder of my childhood and my wonderful savior! Thank you! ❤
David, I cannot thank you enough for the hours and the passion you put into these works. Whenever I need to be lead to the throne of grace, you are the first that I turn to. God will richly reward you.
Parents took me to church and I hated it and fell away until my mid 20’s into drugs and crime. Now I’m a pastor and remember all these songs throughout my life. They sink in! Parents don’t give up and take your children to church!
While I enjoy many of the newer songs our worship team does, I wish we did more from this era. Other than the hymns, I feel the 90’s were a timeless and golden decade for praise and worship music. Too many ‘praise’ songs these days exclusively focuses on ‘I’, ‘me’, and all the great blessings and miracles you will get. Too little about how great and awesome our God is.
Because the worship music you used then was probably 20 years behind!🤣 There was a long gap between songs being written and then included in songbooks for churches.
Oh yay! Throw back to the songs that had simple verse-chorus structure! No bridges (A & B), no interludes, no extra chorus before the coda, .... no waiting in the anticipation for the buildup... Just verse + chorus..... who would think I'd miss that one day? I never thought a song structure could be any different.
Actually, there are a few songs in this medley with bridges, and challenging ones at that. Ancient of Days, I Could Sing of Your Love Forever, Better Is One Day, and Days of Elijah. Just off the top of my head. 😉
Being born in '81, the 90ies are absolutely 'my' era. Most of these songs where translated to dutch as well and I can just sing them from memory. Worshipping our Lord lifts Him up, but us as well.
As someone who came to know and accept Christ in the early 2000s, these were the songs I remember singing when I first started attending church. So many of them bring back memories. Keep up the good work and know that your gift is a blessing to others and a pleasant offering to God.
Thank you, David! Seeing my wife bopping to this while listening for the first time and making our Saturday dinner is priceless! And we're only at 07:14. Blessings, Brother!
Wow, bringing me baaaack. Born in the early 80s and growing up in the 90s...this just made me feel like a kid all over again at the Baptist church I grew up in!
First, this is beyond beautiful. Thanks for giving us the honour snd privilege of partaking in your awesome gift. Secondly, you have just given me a new Playlist. I am going to collate all the songs especially the ones from the 90s and have me a solid throwback worship playlist 😉👌
From the first note I was like... yup... yes... this is it! Didn't know I needed this in my life.
You’re welcome!🤣
These songs are so precious to me as they were from my early days as a believer. Thank you for taking me back to a time when my faith was new ❤️🙏
It was a wonderful era. You captured the best worship songs of that decade. Thank you for ALL the work that went into this.
How I am going to miss the blessing of song here in South Africa. God bless this precious soul and his family ❤
Some great throwbacks that I had forgotten about. 90s had some great worship music! Amazing work!
This brings back so many childhood memories. I'm genuinely in tears. This is my favorite medley so far. Thank you for making this.
I so appreciated that every song you chose honored God directly and was not Christian inspirational. Thank you!
This made me happy. My inner 90s Christian music memories
Memory lane and a testament to God's grace and faithfulness
Need a full version of Agnus Dei accapella!
Maybe the next Choir piece.
Or Handel's Messiah complete with beatboxing! 😊
Amazing how the whole (westerrn) world sing the same worship songs in the Church. 95% match in Hungary!
Thank you David and glory to Jesus Christ!
Yes! I'm in the UK and thought there would be a lot that I'd never heard, but I knew most of them 😊

Bro the 1990 just hit diferent, bring back my kindergarten memories hearing some of these worship songs😢
This is so good! I came to Jesus in 1994 so these songs are the soundtrack to my first years with him.
I showed the 80s video to my younger brother (born in 2000) to see which ones he knows. Time to go again!
I believe this may be my favorite so far.
Nothing beats this video.
I was born in 1992 😅, these songs are timeless
I did not know that Michael W. Smith sang “Agnus Dei” first.
Not just sang it first - he wrote it!🤣
