Demi Lovato has a mental condition that is Not easy to live with. Bipolar depression isn't as simple as taking a pill and you're going to be fine. It's a disease that needs constant care! It takes months of therapy and committed checkups, before a doctor finds the right formulated medications suitable for each patient. When the right medications are finally found, a patient will be feeling great, on top of the world sometimes. But what happens is, that perfect formula stops working after 8 months to a little over a year. Your body gets immune to it, you notice it's not working the same way anymore. Before you know it, you're going through another, "Let's try THIS" stage, again. It's a mental disease that is completely exhausting. Some people give up on it! They've had enough! More suicides are committed because of bipolar depression than most people are aware of. It's sad. It's not easy. You find yourself alone because even, family members give up on you. You end up alone because you say and do things you don't ever mean to. By the time you're ready to apologize, these people just don't want to hear it anymore. Nobody really understands the true battles that go on inside a person trying to stop bipolar depression from taking over your life. Bipolar depression becomes the boss in your decisions. Demi is a mentally sick girl. She needs love, and understanding. Look what happened to Robin Williams! His mental illness was something he just didn't want to live with another day. Being rich, or poor has nothing to do with it. Bipolar depression disease doesn't care how much money you have, or who you are, what age you are, race, gender, religion. Everyone suffering needs the same amount of love, understanding, and treatments.
This is how my major depressive disorder or true cynical depression is. The right meds can work for some time then just randomly stop. And by “work” I mean it helps me not show my depression in public. Meds help me hold it in till I’m alone.
CBD Pil can help - it's worth a try; no side effects or addiction. All natural! Helping me quite a bit with pain and depression. Hope everyone can try it at least once. You don't get high; you just get better.
So sad! My daughter, who is around Demi's age, suffers from depression and last week was in the hospital as well. Prayers to Demi and her family. I hope this country starts to realize that mental illness is out of control. So many cannot get the help they need, and so many have too much money and spend it on drugs to cope. People come from all walks of life with mental issues, rich or poor, waitress or pop singer, the brain is complex. No one is exempt! More research and free clinics could help so many suffering. Demi when you are well, I would love for you to meet my daughter and help each other spread the word about this mental health crisis!
Demi You are only human. But you are God's child. Please don't take your life. Get help and go through your obstacle not around them. Do it with God first. Grab his hand and don't let go. I lost my cousin to suicide three weeks ago. God Bless you Big hug from NJ
I know nothing about Bi-Polar disease but I do suffer from recurring depressive syndrome, so I can understand a little bit about where she is coming from. All our prayers are with you on your recovery, Demi.
Ken Bennett I can understand the bipolar but that doesn't make you do drugs or sniff coke I know ppl that are bipolar n they be like nope not doing drugs
I should add I am also having to deal with Parkinson's, and while i know it is not a deadly disease, it will make things difficult if not impossible to do. But I think I can get through it.
I like that Megan Kelly said there’s no shame. Here’s to recovery. Here’s to all the people who struggle with addictions whether they acknowledge them or not. May they , may I , too, all recover completely. Love. ❤️ Also LOVE to hear someone won that lottery! To have this happen is such a remote possibility in a lifetime...and it just somehow uplifts my own day to know that somebody out there right this minute is ecstatic , over the moon and for the moment has been lifted in their life to face a sweet direction riddled with possibilities . Yay!
I've been thinking the same lately. This girl is really not doing good and every tweet and retweet people can share on Twitter isn't gonna save her. She needs to people to support her in real life but confront her to the dark and solid truth about what she's going through.
Seriously they aren't friends. Poor girl needs to get away from the people she is around, that will help her for sure. Maybe move away to a new place. Just really want to see this woman thrive, she's so talented.
Rivers Bliss, no I don't live in Hollywood. Yes, I do have all 3 down. You see, I'm one of millions of conservative Americans in California. We're the forgotten people that are ready to turn California into a red state. Yes, John Cox for Governor of California 2018.
That poor girl put the weight of the world on her shoulders, while trying to stay sober. No one could handle all that. One day at a time. She’s strong 💜
I’m so glad I came across this video, my older brother is a police officer and he got injured on the job, ever sense he has been addicted to pain meds and I didn’t know how to help him because he is in denial. My brother served our country in the US Army and now he risks his life as a law enforcer and I feel like I’m failing him by not doing something about it, but now I’m going to make that call. Thank you for posting this video.
Thank you for stating that "we all share struggles" because it's so poignantly true. No one and I mean, no one is immune to dealing with mental illnesses/addiction. Either you are the one directly fighting it or indirectly you know someone who is fighting it. It's real and it's not going away. Learn to love the person and acknowledge the warning signs that our loved ones display. Self awareness plays a big part in maintaining our mental/emotional health. For myself, knowing something greater than myself to rely on is key for survival. HE will NEVER leave me, even though I've ignored HIM a lot but God WILL NEVER give up on me.
You have NO idea how exhausting it gets at times! Omg relapse is part of your journey! It’s what you do after is what counts! Heroin killed my bro on 1/2018. Y’all have no idea really.
Survivor OfMany oh yes I do have an idea.. anyone who is living everyday with problems has an idea... I know , I struggle everyday . 1 year clean for me on the 8th of this month
It's depression (bi-polar) on top of alcohol or pills. Depression is a disease that can be treated. She is so talented in so many areas, may she have good pp around to lift her through this.
What is really unfortunate is all the young kids who follow these celebrities and the influence they have over them. Let’s hope she continues to be open and honest about the dangers of experimenting with drugs and alcohol.
I’m sorry I want to speak positive but at this point I think Demi isn’t doing as well as her family are saying because they just don’t want anyone bashing or starting the “R.I.P.” until doctors confirm it all. Remember Bobby Christina family kept telling us she was alright till we started figuring it out after couple months then they HAD to confirm she wasn’t doing to well
I’m starting a charity in my fathers honor who took his own life in June of this year, 2018. I myself struggle with mental health and I’m a recovering alcoholic. Please allow people to know you don’t have to be famous to have a platform to speak out #demilavato when they said fans thought that she had her #bipolardisorder under control?? It’s a lifetime struggle. Sobriety as well. The news should know this too
Savannah + Megan are both very dear and beautiful. I genuinely pray for Demi Lovato. It’s crucial for Demi to be able to go to sleep by 9 pm each night, because it helps to heal and stabilize circadian rhythms. If someone bipolar stays awake too late (or is forced to), then they can’t fall asleep past a certain time because their cortisol levels will spike, igniting a manic phase, not allowing them to sleep.
It’s the way you live your life it can be happy or sad it all depends upon you the person living this life people don’t need drugs and alcohol to run their life if you stay away from it you won’t have it people love the pop singer and they should feel the love the people give them and I love Demi Lovato and she’s my favorite singer
Taking drugs or drinking is a choice. The sad part about the story, that choice sometimes becomes an addiction that controls the person. Demi said, "She made a choice to try drugs and alcohol because she wanted to feel or understand what her father found satisfying in drugs and alcohol." Those are her Words, not my Words. Now that choice became an addiction for whatever reasons. I am praying for her. We all need to show love and compassion to her and others in her condition. Being Bipolar depressive is not a choice. Pray for Demi Lovato. Let’s Pray: God I ask You in Jesus’ name save, heal, deliver, and use Demi Lovato for Your glory. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
Linda Flagg, MA, BS, BCPCLC Classic!!! Nice letters after your name, but your ability to do a job is highly suspect. Every SJW with "letters" I dealt with (besides PhDs with long term experience and higher I.Q.) were actually quite ignorant, not well read on the subject, and completely out of tune with the community they serve.
Demi said, "She made a choice to try drugs and alcohol because she wanted to feel or understand what her father found satisfying in drugs and alcohol." Now that choice became an addiction for whatever reasons. Being Bipolar depressive is not a choice. It is a part of her life. And you are so right (it’s very common to take drugs while manic to numb the depressive symptoms). I am praying for her. Prayer is a gift. She is hurting and yes being sober for six years is amazing. But she is amazing.
I have nothing but love for her as a human being. We are all no where near perfect. She has done a lot for others. We should lift each other up. Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors!! I have nothing but love.. #Loveandunderstanding. #Demifan4Life
I hope Demi Lovato gets placed in a recovery home when she gets better. She needs all the psychatric help in the world so she can get help with bipolar disease and drug addiction.
Only God can judge Demi or her loved ones. It isn't my place or your place to point fingers or condemn. Six years is still something to respect. People fall down, and get back up again at different times. We all have to work on ourselves to become better. The reason Demi's still a role model, is she has the guts to admit in a song she's struggling. She 's already admitted she isn't "fixed." Don't play judge and jury when she's down and out. Build her up and don't tear down. What would you want others to do the next time you messed up?
With all due respect for Demi Lovato's condition i would like to point out that many people are bipolar and suffer because of it without the resources that Demi has In her video she says being addicted to alcohol, cocaine and adderal in addition to an obvious eatingdisorder, now she seem to have problems with opioids, remember Narcan can only reverse the effect of opioids and opioids only, nothing else If she has an addiction to opioids there seem to be a descend in her profile of addiction,an overdose doesn't necessarely mean she is addicted ,you can overdose after just one time using I hope she gets all the help needed a treatment nessesary to her condition as well as the help of family and friends and for god sake don't leave her allone as she clearly can't handle lonliness like so many bipolars
For all those who want to be famous, just look at what happens to most of them. When you have money and fame, no one say no to you, and you are surrounded by people who just want to make money of your talent. I can promise you, it’s nothing to strive for. And if you get extremely famous, you most likely will die early of a drug overdose, or other strange events....because then the people who have been making money of of you will make tons of it....The list is long......
Narcotic meds should regularly be issued concomitantly with Narcan (its antedote). This could save thousands of lives. The high spike in overdose deaths makes me wonder if these new drugs have somehow been laced. What is also profoundly alarming is a dichotomy of recent drastic inaccessibility to narcotic pain medication for those who genuinely require it (oncology or post-surgical/chronic patients), yet (as if there is an unseen drug lord war), a rampant proliferation access to marijuana which is a gateway drug. Even the first dose of marijuana can evoke a psychotic episode lasting for six weeks in certain individuals. It masks liver enzyme lab studies. It gives zero protection from developing lung cancer and emphysema. No oversite or assessing by medical personnel. (Oncology RN)
The weather is from God Almighty and God Never Makes mistakes. Always thank God for the weather, and if you want something different, pray to God humbly for the weather you want.
every girl who annoys normativity is diagnosed bipolar (in Freud's era, "hysterical"). that's what she's really overdosing about; but she doesn't admit that (doesn't fully know that).
Funny thing. The woman says their hearts go out to Demi. Why is Demi being felt sorry for? Go look on the streets, does anyone feel sorry for any of them? No shame? Lady shame is all that is of drug addicts. There are more drug addicts than there are places to help them. It's so bad they've had to open up safe injection clinics. Demi is no different than the junkie on the street, or the prostitute selling her body for drugs. But everyone feels so sorry for this one woman. Pathetic. Help those that aren't pop stars. I'm sure Demi can afford rehab. At least her problem is way out in the open. She will either have babysitters, enablers, or supporters for the rest of her career. Addicts ARE a shamed part of society, swept under a dirty rug. They get all this help, and they don't take it. So they are left to die. Accused of making that choice to become an addict. Addiction is a sickness of the mind. Cancer of one's psyche. How do you fix that? Addiction is everyone's responsibility. And we treat addicts like criminals. Filling up the prisons like dirty rugs. My heart really does go out to Demi, the addict. And every other addict suffering this very moment. Wake up ppl...addiction is here!
You dont know that. More income means more expenses to match it. They could have student loan debt, they could have debt from other places, they have mortgages like the rest of us.
Megyn Kelly has a net worth of $15 million, which is a lot of money to those who are not millionaires, but is actually not THAT much in the grand scheme of things (Consider this: Ellen DeGeneres' net worth is $400 million). Savannah Guthrie has a net worth of only $2 million, which is pretty low. They aren't filthy rich by any means, but neither are poor. That doesn't mean they don't have financial issues, though. It's just that the issues might be larger than those who don't have millions to their name. You can be a millionaire and still have money problems.
They should not have financial worries unless they are bad at managing money. Putting themselves in a category with those who have true financial worries is sad.
So. Let me get this straight. When a celeb overdoses everyone is supposed to surround them with love. When an average person OD’s they’re considered trashy, worthless and should be ignored. Everyone has demons, so what makes her so special... because she can sing? That shouldn’t automatically place her in a category worthier than anyone else. Addicts are people’s mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles. They aren’t unworthy because they aren’t famous .. everyone deserves love. No discrimination should exist where addiction is concerned. Rich. Poor. Famous. Average Joe. #stoptheHypocrites
This is why it bugs me that there are people in the older generations thinking that young people are wimps and making fun of the safe places or whatever. There is so much pressure! Drug addiction is never the issue it's a symptom. People self medicate to deal with pain. It's sad but it's true. She knows everyone will scrutinize everything she does no matter what. It is true that it is common for people to relapse. It's like sometimes you have to go backward to remind yourself why you are going forward. Mental health is a big issue in this country as well. Addiction and mental health don't care if you're famous or not if you have money or you don't. Old or young. I hope she gets the help she needs. As the saying goes "All that glimmers is not gold". It's just like Taylor Swift said in her Clean speech. You think everyone else's life is perfect, but you only see the good parts. You don't see the private struggles they have. Especially in the age of social media, we create our own persona. You also get instant feedback. Negative and positive. Sort of ironic that they talk about famous people and what money and fame can do. Now this person is gonna be sitting on a boat load of money and if they try to fill the void. Money can't buy happiness.
Why do people have so much pity for drug addicts, furthermore rich drug addicts? All these people feeling sorry for this drug addict should instead go focus on helping a starving college student.
I have sympathy for people in an $8 million home [only one of her properties] w/party participants ready to administer Narcan at a moment's notice. Truly pathetic.
Like it's any of our business in the first place? This is her career, her life and her choice to choose who is part of her secret life. I don't tell everyone at work my personal life dramas and I doubt you do..

THREE IMPORTANT ADVISES:
1. HAVE FAITH
2. EXERCISE & EAT HEALTHY
3. STAY AWAY FROM BAD INFLUENCES
Good luck achieving that while living in Hollywood.
Rivers Bliss, no I don't live in Hollywood. Yes, I do have all 3 down. You see, I'm one of millions of conservative Americans in California. We're the forgotten people that are ready to turn California into a red state. Yes, John Cox for Governor of California 2018.
Fair enough.
That poor girl put the weight of the world on her shoulders, while trying to stay sober.

The compassion and empathy exhibited here is beyond... well done.

The reason Demi's still a role model, is she has the guts to admit in a song she's struggling. She 's already admitted she isn't "fixed." Don't play judge and jury when she's down and out. Build her up and don't tear down. What would you want others to do the next time you messed up?
Love and prayers to Demi...
A legend inspiration
With all due respect for Demi Lovato's condition i would like to point out that many people are bipolar and suffer because of it without the resources that Demi has
In her video she says being addicted to alcohol, cocaine and adderal in addition to an obvious eatingdisorder, now she seem to have problems with opioids, remember Narcan can only reverse the effect of opioids and opioids only, nothing else
If she has an addiction to opioids there seem to be a descend in her profile of addiction,an overdose doesn't necessarely mean she is addicted ,you can overdose after just one time using
I hope she gets all the help needed a treatment nessesary to her condition as well as the help of family and friends and for god sake don't leave her allone as she clearly can't handle lonliness like so many bipolars
I love her so much I love you Demi .
Personal Responsibility!!!
Unbalanced or not
my husband is addicted to heroin
NBC’s biggest mistake
Narcotic meds should regularly be issued concomitantly with
Narcan (its antedote).
This could save thousands
of lives.
It gives
zero protection from developing lung cancer and emphysema. No oversite or assessing by medical personnel.

every girl who annoys normativity is diagnosed bipolar (in Freud's era, "hysterical"). that's what she's really overdosing about; but she doesn't admit that (doesn't fully know that).
But how do you know? How do you know no one feels sorry for them? I do! And I feel sorry for Demi!
I’m sure you two don’t have financial worries 🙄
You also don't know who they are supporting financially.
What does that have to do with this? Like your name anyway--Ciera.
They should not have financial worries unless they are bad at managing money. Putting themselves in a category with those who have true financial worries is sad.
I already know what was going to happen like yesterday
Can't wait to see the movie about Megyn and others coming forth on Fox about their boss.
Oops.. correction "pretty sure I am good"
Ill take thw money and that life. Already got the addiction part down
Who else is yelling themselves they need to cutt down on the pot
Who brought her into this condition? Who made her stay in this condition?
That’s her fault for overdosing!! Common sense!
Money can't buy happiness.
the question is whether mental illness comes as a result of chemical.addiction ?
Seagull B sometimes
I love the girl with blue dress
David Sing the one with the scarf? xD
lol. Noooooo, the journalist haha
Just leave the public life.. Simple
kelly looks like taylor swift lol 😂😂😂
Why do people have so much pity for drug addicts, furthermore rich drug addicts? All these people feeling sorry for this drug addict should instead go focus on helping a starving college student.
Lets remember that Demi Lovato thought it was okay and funny to sexually harass her bodyguard...
I have sympathy for people in an $8 million home [only one of her properties] w/party participants ready to administer Narcan at a moment's notice. Truly pathetic.
The family wants their privacy now so they can decide what they want the truth to be and then they will feed that to us. ***Choke***
themindoftwister thank you!!!!
Like it's any of our business in the first place? This is her career, her life and her choice to choose who is part of her secret life. I don't tell everyone at work my personal life dramas and I doubt you do..
