When I'm in Colonia I typically leave the non-economic systems turned off on the galactic map. They're just too much noise with the star density in the area. When you do that you'll see that the size of the Colonia Bubble is quite small... everything's pretty much next door, especially for anyone that's taken the trip to go out there.
hey the D2EA, any future plan to create an updated version of this? would be great since the new mining system kinda set me back a bit xD
what I discovered by accident while in Colonia is that while taking the kill pirate missions from systems under pirate attack they seem to allow a bit of stacking as long as the missions are from different mission givers, in simple terms multiple missions from a single giver are executed sequentially, but if you took a single mission from multiple mission givers they run in parallel, - easy money
It took me nearly a week to get to Colonia in a 25ly orca, spent a day or so mineing benitoite in a baluga, bought a 35ly DB explorer and got to Sag A* in about 7 hours. Now I'm on the way back to the bubble.

@@chocolateteaspoon I done a trip to the right side of galaxi centre than went to the colonia. Probably did 1200 jumps in my 32ly ASP. Now I am exploring colonia region. You would be surprised how little of systems around are explored
@@HCforLife1 not surprised at all considering the millions of stars out there, and a small percentage of the player base willing to hyperjump for hours on end just to see if anyone else has been there
I'm making my way to Sag A* now. About 8k ly out. Going to swing through Colonia on my way back towards the bubble... If I go back. Really enjoying exploring in my phantom.

I want to live in Colonia, and buy my Carrier out there, but I don’t see the money making that I see in the bubble out here and that’s the only issue because I had to transport my Vette

The DBE can't be called a bubblebus because it isn't in the bubble. Something like Colonibus works fine.
The miner's tool shows some places in colonia that but LTD for more than a million a ton. And there's a few places that buy painite with similar prices to the bubble
I made billions in Colonia just trading commodities out of my fleet carrier never mined a single rock, in fact all the money I made in the game was between trading commodities and planet surveys. Don’t ever let anybody tell you that you have to do this one thing to make money because it’s simply not true there are many roads to billions in this game that don’t take any longer than the next. It’s up to you to discover and finesse them that’s why it is a game!
Got a question and you are one of the only channels that has perfect info. I’m in colonia headed to the center. Is their any place that has ancient ruins so I can do the FSD BOOSTER? I got the blueprint just need the other steps like HN Shocks etc. is there any place near colonia so I can finish it?

The best ship you can use is the Krait Mk 2.
It is a great all-rounder. I have been using it to multi-mine (core sub-surface, any mining). I have also switched out an SRV bay with cargo and mining tools to hardpoint weapons so I can do long distance cargo and assassination / bounty missions as well as scan jobs both planetary or space.
For me, the Krait Mk 2 is the best ship to use. Maybe there are others that can jump further, but the Krait can have hull reinforcement and go up to 98 cargo space with an srv, jump long distances and destroy multiple (up to 4 without restock) Elite-ranked Anaconda pirates/interceptors, using a mixture of shield cell banks, chaff and hull armour. Yanno what else? My power usage is no where near the top bar either and I can continually boost and shoot with an even spread of pips set.
I can out maneuver an Eagle. I can outlast a 1:1 with a Conda, I can mine loads of stuff, I can travel far and I can do it all with speed too. The Krait Mk 2 has been, and still is, awesome for me. My weapon layout is a large Beam laser, 2x Large Multi cannon, engineered to be efficient, and x2 medium Multi cannon also engineered same way. I'm looking to upgrade the Beam laser to something more hard hitting, then I will definitely be a deadly force to be reckoned with.

I'm taking a Phantom to colonia... But I can't really afford a mk II and outfit it so do you do think a Phantom will do the job if it's appropriately outfitted?
Man these market numbers could be any more irrelevant.. do you think you could do Post patch updates for Colonia living?

I enjoy making the best of what you have to work with. I made $200 million in Colonia during Distant Worlds 2 over a few hours one weekend with my Krait Mkii.
I was at Colonia when the mining update hit. The LTD were the primary moneymaker there back then. Very nice because it's a mineral that can be extracted by all 3 types of mining. Good for introduction to new mining and I like to carry around all the mining tools.
I unlocked the Guardian power plant and distributor. Not sure how what is available in Colonia now and to what degree it can be engineered but a while ago those were the best modules to get out there.

Colonia is small enough it's never far to jump to a system selling at top price for whatever material. I would never sell Void Opals for less than cr 1.6m- just use Inara to show you where to go. Also Carcosa is only place to get Federal and Alliance ships

how do we plot a route to there?
What I did (purposefully not using the Neutron Highway) was look up a decent halfway point just under 20k light years and head there first, then once I arrive there I just set my destination to Colonia itself. Hope this helps!
I used the Rock of Isolation as a break point,, then 400 x 40Ly (ish) jumps.

can someone tell me why he has the menu in inara on the side while mine is always on the top?
Apparently you have a rather narrow screen, or you've zoomed the website in too far. At 1080p maximized, the menu is on the left. If I resize the window to about 60% of my screen's width it moves to the top. It also moves to the top when the site is zoomed to 150%.
CTRL + to zoom in
CTRL - to zoom out
CTRL 0 to reset zoom
i dont mean to be mean, but it would have been more helpful if you had decided before hand what you wanted to do, seemed more like you was talking to yourself than talking with us. as you talked so fast it was difficult to understand what your plan was. but then i dont think you had a plan. so nothing about your video helped me go out and build a ship and fit it out because you didnt know what you wanted to do. so how could we enjoy your video. better luck next time.
