Thanks for the tutorial, will be referencing again soon. Converting the rs232 serial port of my standalone to communicate with tablet bluetooth / TunerPro. Do I need to change com ports in TunerPro preferences eveytime I switch devices (Stanalone, Ostrich, Burn2)?

Hi, bluetooth successful, but "not emulating" ? All files(bin, xdf, ads) are 100% ok. Any solutions?

'Not emulating' refers to the PROM simulation portion of TunerPro RT. Are you trying to datalog? If so, you only need the adx file; no BIN or XDF file. When connected, you should see the 'DA: Not Connected' change to 'Connected'.

In Windows 10 when I add the ALDL bluetooth unit when I look at the serial ports it always adds two more ports. Com 6 and Com 7.. I tried both.. will not connect to either port. It appears one port is for transmit the other port is for receive.

Hello Michael. Yes, Windows 10 does add two COM ports. I think one is actually for control, the other is for I/O. I have seen the lower number work, and I've seen the higher number work. :-( TunerPro RT will put curly brackets around COM port numbers it is not happy with. I have had the following work for me. First, I try rebooting. That typically helps if I have the curly brackets in TunerPro RT. If that doesn't help, I have also removed the device, then reinstalled the device. Those two things have gotten me up and running. Win7 used to only show one COM port, but was very finicky about baud rates. Win10 doesn't seem to care what the baud rate is. Though, I would still set the baud rate in the adx file to 9600.

@@Electronics-bd3er Thank you for the speedy response. I will give a try again. I can connect to ALDL Scan and ALDL Droid and it works just fine. I do notice that switching between apps and devices (different android devices ) that I should re-power the unit to reconnect.

@@madpb Hello Michael. Probably the only challenge with switching between apps is that one app may still have control of the connection to the BT adapter. Maybe make sure the app is totally closed out. That way the other app can connect. Glad the Android apps work well for you.

So strange. So far I can't get TunerPro to connect via BT or USB. It's got me beat. I've got other software to work on both accounts but not TunerPro. Laptop is Lenovo E530 - i3, 4GB Ram, Windows 10 .-.-.

Ignore that. It was the .ADX file not loaded. LoL. I have it working via BT now. :) My next trick will be to work out how to get all the gauges up. .-.-.

Hi Ken. If you get the opportunity could you datalog with ALDL Scan and TunerPro RT. I'd like to see if there are any differences in the data. Good luck!

Hi John, Sure NP. But so far I'm having trouble getting the connections to sync properly. I've just realised that the gauges jumping erratically means an incorrect sync / connection. The only way I can get TunerPro to connect correctly is connect with the wrong XDF file first. Then reconnect using the correct one and it comes good. I'll try the same trick with ALDLdroid soon. Also can't get ALDL Scan working yet. But it's all a learning curve. Little steps at a time. :) .-.-.

OH Do you want them both done in BT mode? Or one BT, one USB? Could I run both concurrently? As in can you have two BT devices logging at the same time? Probably not I guess because the connect commands etc? .-.-.

In TunerPro should RS232 Echo be ticked for your interface? It says "Select if RX/TX lines are tied causing command echo to be received in the receive buffer .-.-.
