- This video shows you how to beat the Overseer at alpha difficulty solo! If you haven't watched part 1 of the island ascension, please watch that before this one. You'll find it on my channel or as a suggested video in this one.
0:42 Story-cannon-wise, The Hall of History is above the Ark, but gameplay-wise, it's actual location is under the ocean in-between the hidden lake and predator/death island, in the Northeast. There's a mod which turns a GPS into an Explorer Note Direction-Finder, which I recommend (it makes finding the notes actually fun; like IRL Geo-caching), where you can see the rough-bearing of the notes down there.
Incidentally, I'm about to make my first attempt at a solo Gamma Overseer fight. Hopefully, your video will help me win it.
personally what i used was roughly 10 rexes, 20 theris, a yuty and a deinonychus (to move around and have the ability to take out attack drones). the yuty on auto courage, whistle the army to follow the overseer and hide behind the pillars as much as you can on your deinonychus and use a faby sniper to deal with the drones but you can also just run away from them with the same effect. another option instead of the deinonychus is to use the andrewsarchus. if you dont have access to those dinos, sit on your yuty and run around the pillars being mindful of the attack drones as they can hurt real bad
I went solo in gamma, full Tek armor, an otter, med brew, three tek rifles (1 broke) a shotty and a rocket launcher for good measure. Whipped it in under 10. Haven’t tried the harder ones just yet, still collecting trophies

What melee and health did ur rexes have?
If i remember correcty it was about 800 melee and 35-40 k ish health

DifficultyOffset = 5.0. Max level dinos is lvl 150

Does anyone know what’s the best way to get ascendent Rex or theri saddle bp’s?
I've had luck doing the lava golem on Rag, but if you're staying at the island i would suggest you raid caves and the sea floor.
What difficulty setting were you on? (Like the slider difficulty)
1 (max). Also selected max level dinos (150).
@@InterPlaysArk Haha bullshit, your 270 rex had way to much health and damage and not even imprinted or properly leveled up... so no way official settings
@@andrep5483 Everyone who watches part one, and litterally all the other boss videos i have made so far knows that lol. I mention it every time. The purpose of the video is to show a tactic or how to do it, and the settings are boosted for me to make them faster.
@@InterPlaysArk This is very different from official though, because a very important part of that is the time constraint, and the health and damage of enemies is waaay lower in single player even with maximum difficulty settings. You would need way more rexes, and a lot of the difficulty of this fight is how damn hard it is to get everyone to the boss fight, which is especially hard alone. Beating the time constraint is the hardest part
@@1495978707 The timer is only relevant for the TEK cave. No timer in the boss arena.
can't u use cactus broth so the drones aren't attacking you?
Yes you can, but these boss videos are made assuming you spawn on the ARK and stay there until you’ve beaten the boss. Cactus broth is a scorched earth recipe. But if you transfer between ARKs, of course :))
I don’t think that would work, I did this fight and they will Aggro you from across the arena. Broth doesn’t make you invisible, just reduces Aggro range

How much health and damage did your base rexes have?
Before mutations
I don't remember the exact stats, but I always try to aim for at least 8,5k health and a little over 300% melee.
If you're using rexs that arent breed you're going to struggle. Even rexs 10-20 mutations into their line have a hard time doing alpha ascension.
@@morky3673 For now, my tamed rexes (without level up) have 11000 hp, 2180 stamina and 461.7 melee damage.
I want a rex with more melee damage to start mutations.
@@alfo1795 are you on official? If so theres no point in starting your own line. My rexs hatch with more than double those stats.
@@morky3673 I play on official (DifficultyOffset = 1.0 and OverrideOfficialDifficulty = 5.0). Those stats are from level 130 - 145 rexes (194 - 217 lvel when tamed). I have never found a 150 level rex.
I am going to mutate my rexes just in health 20 times and then I will start from 0 with 20 mutations in melee damage. After that I will mate the health rex and the melee damage rex and level up the offspring.
Patience.
You can no tames beat this btw solo tek chest for boss room and to get down the lava ramp you use the glider wings and a flak chest piece. Hover above the overseer the whole time with a tek chest plate(free to transfer in from gen 2) using medbrews amd cactus broth and a shotgun you can obliterate this thing lol the more the merrier too if you can all hover above and just blast it you could probably no tame it on alpha
Yup, thats kinda what I do, just speeding it up a bit with tames :)

What are your Rexes stat and Is it good if i bring therizino in ?
Theris are always a good boss dino, but you should have lots of veggie cakes on them. Check my TEK cave vid for the dino stats

What do you have the make the overseer arena not cold is it prim fur
No it has to be better than prim. Look at my inventory at 0:20
Ascendant Fur or flak armorand fria curry
never use primitive stuff for bossfight
You can go tame yourself an Otter, boost up it's melee and never worry about the surrounding temperature again!

You don’t die, you ascend and travel to the next story-ARK (Scorched Earth) :)

Yup. All the DLCs continue the story or «lore» from the previous one. The story is personally one of my favorite parts of the game, its sooo good!

Well, the story continues in the new game ARK 2, which is not launched yet.
About to do this my rexes just need lvling on the melee stat.
Did it 2 rexes died but I got the ascension that's all I care about 😂.

All that Tek and you only choose a shotgun?🙄 You don't have any better Tek weapons than that?😖🤨
To my knowledge it’s not possible to get better tek BPs on the Island, so the shotgun was my best gun
