Glad to see you working on the golf cart.. ready to see it finished.. you could really do well at upgrading gas golf carts like this people use these things alot..
...bruh, I LOVE this project! I bought 3 wheel gas Harley Davidson golf cart for $150.00 and it got stolen from the shop I took it to after I spent big bucks on new tires and rims... the owner of the shop reimbursed me for the rims and tires, but the local sheriff wouldn't even investigate the theft because he claimed that I couldn't prove ownership...he also told me that if I didn't drop it that I would be investigated for theft of the cart...corrupt sob probably had it sitting in his garage...
When you go to build your own, look up buggies unlimited, they are like go power sports, but for golf carts. people put lifts, engine swaps, stiffer springs in the driven pulley, etc.
@@spicydeath82 cool...I'll take a look...still looking for another Harley Davidson 3 wheel cart...something cheap in restorable condition...the one I bought for $150 wasn't in great shape, but I had started to restore it when it was stolen...thanks for the info...
My electric txt ratio is 12.44:1, I thought I read the gas was 13.25:1 in forward & 14.36:1 in reverse but I could be mistaking. Check out buggiesgonewild forum for more info.
you should put the generator back inline so it starts with the pedal as a golf cart. car battery for the lights and bt sound tube and its ready to rock! love the channel, so much inspiration!
Great project and great video. 11:46...sounds like someone ripped the seat of their draws. (Excuse me). LoL. Maybe it was the little shaver but I think it might have been they guy standing on the driver's side.? 😂
This is a 750lb build with an open diff and slicks, you got as much as you could expect, upgrade the tires and change the gearing a bit, you'll get some more performance offroad.
I can take a tiptie, and open the butterfly all the way open and with the stock 2 cylinder engine it will kill that. Only problem is when u hit the gas it's full throttle. You just have to let off gas to slow down, and if u really want it to move use a snowmobile engine it basically bolts right up and a old 340 or 440cc is plenty.
The CC motor mounts are so much more versatile than EZ especially when you look at DS's with those Kawasaki's in them compared to a txt from a newer year. Now and days ezgo's motors sit low in the mount but the swing arm assembly has a lot of real estate.
Are going to us the starter/generator? Also you should take the governor arm off the rear end and weld rear end. I live on catalina and I'm building a limo golf cart with a 420 engine. Can't wait to see this cart done. Keep up the good work
When you wire up the standard key switch would show how to wire it up. I have a 420cc Predator engine on a Yamaha g2 golf cart, I want to have it when key switch is on the on position I can have my accessories running.
use a 1993 club car ds next time it already has a swingarm and the duromax should bolt right to it......at least it did on mine.....does 30mph ......fun to drive
Hello, This may sound like a dumb question. Still hope someone in the comments can answer. Can you still run the generator that turns the engine over when you press the pedal and kill the engine when it stops with that engine? Or does it only have to work with golf cart engines??
Great show on the duramax conversion. Now if I can find someone in my area to do the work. I have really nice go with a 290 Kawasaki that is smoking bad an I was going to have it overhauled but much rather have this duramax conversion Thanks for the info
Not since 82 in most brands of cart have they done that. Any Robin motor of 13 hp Kawasaki motor has a fwd rev rear end. Old pre 90's carts had the reverseable motor but phased them out due to inefficiencies.
I feel like i have seen pretty new ones that i assume still were but it might not have been it just turned the motor off when you let off the gas and switched to reverse
@@james10739 understandable without observing one you wouldn't know. Club care and ezgo both eliminated that type of set up in the 90's for sure and opted for the Robin style and Kawasaki's both needing a more dynamic rear end also why they don't lock the dif in the factory rear end
I actually did this on my Yamaha g16 with that same 18hp duromax engine. I opted to use the original starter generator to be able to run lights and winch without killing the battery. I would like to know what the part numbers are for the heavier valve springs and the jet kit you used please???
Hi from N.C> I enjoy your videos greatly....I just put a 14hp electric start in my 1996 ezgo following your lead........I have turned the idle down as far as I can and the old main drive clutch is closing some at idle and grabbing the belt and the cart is trying to take off.......I suspect the main drive clutch is worn out as the old donor cart was.....what clucth can I use that will have to hit a higher rpm before engaging? That will fit a duromax shaft? I did buy6 the tapered adapter.....thanks...
so your crazy sitting on a little peace of metal driving around the yard I drove my cart across town sitting on that 1X1 tubing the seat bolts to running my cart off starting fluid the trip ended with second degree burns to my back side from the stock muffler ive spent the last 4 years rebuilding my cart on a shoe string budget from a wheelchair with one hand
That is what I am looking for right now. The best I can tell he used the hose on the the valve cover that normally goes to the air filter and used it for the pulse on the fuel pump.
I like the golf car I am converting one over 2 gas doing a whole entire rear end swap and rebuilding the lift kit the left that is on mine is extremely sketchy I think if I hit a bump or something good enough the front end is going to fold up
Cant believe you built a cart without an A Arm lift kit! Next build use a Predator V Twin & A Arm! & use a 97 Club Car CLOCKWISE gasser so you can change out the engine & rear end''s back gears! BTW - Have you ever done a review of the stock Predator V Twin inside?
Great job on the golf-cart. I myself would like to see you build a Mini bike chopper from the ground up. With all the nice tools (welding table. pipe bender and such) I think yall could do a awesome job on one. IMO.
I don't know no mean intentions but looks like you guys were trying to build a toy or yourselves not for client that I thought you mentioned might be a little Elder. Also you got to love that break-in. You guys were giving it I like your channel just wish you would be more professional about things
I do not but I used a rather long belt. A.A Drive Belt for EZGO ST480 Gas Golf Cart 2004-Up - 75691-G01, 75691G01. The belt measures roughly 1-1/8” x 48” OD
My engine is knocking on my Mini Bike and I tried everything except going inside it and it still knocks, should I look inside to fix it or upgrade to a 212cc Predator engine?
Your rear diff isn’t going to last long. We put a 420 on our golf cart with 27inch mud boggers and now the axle slips in the diff. The splines are gone
They do that it's a design to have give on purpose those models go through at least one passenger axle in it's life and if it lives long enough the other one as well.
Glad to see you working on the golf cart.. ready to see it finished.. you could really do well at upgrading gas golf carts like this people use these things alot..
I like it. Really needs some tiers on the back but looks promising for a good final product. Cant wait to see what you do with one of your own
Dude! I LOVE IT! I have an old electric Melex Golf Cart that I want to convert to a gas powered lifted Jeep. More Content on Golf Cart Conversions!
The yellow deuce and the 670 blue go-kart that burnt was my favorites
Let us know what you think of the drop top golf cart!!!

Red Beard's Garage i use the same motor on my easy go build to been using it for two years no problems

Thanks for golf cart build videos I have has blowed engine now know get into you gave me few good ideas have great day
Awesome professional build Greg!..you need to bring that to Florida and race our 420cc golfcart..lol...keep up the good work!
not bad, more go power than I had thought with the golf frame
This is a 750lb build with an open diff and slicks, you got as much as you could expect, upgrade the tires and change the gearing a bit, you'll get some more performance offroad.
We used 6x6 steel tubing 4” wide for our lift on the golf cart and flipped the steering to the underside, worked great 👍
Pretty sweet lil golf kart, my parents buddy has a golf kart with a Harley 883cc in it, it’s a beast lol
Your neighbors must love you
Red Beard Jr. is like "wheres the chips". Im a big chip fan too dude. Hahahaa
If you find one, weld the rear differential up or maybe see if you can get a selectable locker for it, now that would be sweet.
Carhart makes a awesome sweathirt with no hood and a nice big kangaroo pouch. Awesomew mods on this golf cart, may need beter tires.
So what belt will I need for this build???
I can take a tiptie, and open the butterfly all the way open and with the stock 2 cylinder engine it will kill that. Only problem is when u hit the gas it's full throttle. You just have to let off gas to slow down, and if u really want it to move use a snowmobile engine it basically bolts right up and a old 340 or 440cc is plenty.
Those old 440's are almost bolt on, great repurpose for an old cart
How do the air cooled 2 strokes hold up under the seat heat wise. Can they be made reliable?
im glad i stumbled on to yalls channel. cant wait to get caught up on yalls videos
Do a leaf spring rear end in stead of coils im curous if it would elimanate movement where it doesnt wobble and then you wont need a sway bar
it had leaf springs
Sweet build Greg very nicely done 👍👍😎
I love it. When you get one get a club car they already have a engine plate in them. I work on club car golf carts for a living
The CC motor mounts are so much more versatile than EZ especially when you look at DS's with those Kawasaki's in them compared to a txt from a newer year. Now and days ezgo's motors sit low in the mount but the swing arm assembly has a lot of real estate.
Definitely need to lock the diff if you get one for yourself lift kit built 670 with some other goodies
Are going to us the starter/generator? Also you should take the governor arm off the rear end and weld rear end. I live on catalina and I'm building a limo golf cart with a 420 engine. Can't wait to see this cart done. Keep up the good work
Plus check out Vegas carts they make kits for ezgo and yamaha
Really looking forward to seeing this one finished, it should be a great cart after you are done!! :-D
Can't wait to see the finished product
When you wire up the standard key switch would show how to wire it up. I have a 420cc Predator engine on a Yamaha g2 golf cart, I want to have it when key switch is on the on position I can have my accessories running.
There is a pin that locks it into neutral and it can be a pain to figure it out if u never messed with one
its crazy how much you look my uncle and he is a mechanic. love the videos bye the way.
You can get more bend in the pipe if you cut slits, bend, then weld. From the video it looks to close.
nice golf cart sounds pretty tough👍😎🕇
use a 1993 club car ds next time it already has a swingarm and the duromax should bolt right to it......at least it did on mine.....does 30mph ......fun to drive
Those axles are geared 12 to 1 they're very low speed but crazy torque
You can hook a Milwaukee Sharpie on your Wrist Watch, so its always handy.
what size is the nut on the axoil
It sounds like a gokart.she might want it to be more quiet but it’s way faster. Nice job
Hello, This may sound like a dumb question. Still hope someone in the comments can answer. Can you still run the generator that turns the engine over when you press the pedal and kill the engine when it stops with that engine? Or does it only have to work with golf cart engines??
Wish i knew you could do that to a golf cart. I could have saved my brother in law thousands on engine repairs and rebuilds.
"What Chips??? Where are the chips???" LOVE IT!!!
Was the original engine electric start? ...... can this one be made to electric start?
*I Cant Wait to Do that!*
I am looking for a deal on a cart right now.
My favorite part of your videos is your wife's commentary!
Dude I’ve got a lifted golf cart I would love it if you could show me how and what to do to mine to make it faster and better!
seen a few carts with 2 cylinder snowmobile motors on them
Best way to go honestly
Great show on the duramax conversion. Now if I can find someone in my area to do the work. I have really nice go with a 290 Kawasaki that is smoking bad an I was going to have it overhauled but much rather have this duramax conversion
Thanks for the info
So the tranaxel has reverse? You say because generally the engine just turns the opposite direction
Not since 82 in most brands of cart have they done that. Any Robin motor of 13 hp Kawasaki motor has a fwd rev rear end. Old pre 90's carts had the reverseable motor but phased them out due to inefficiencies.
I feel like i have seen pretty new ones that i assume still were but it might not have been it just turned the motor off when you let off the gas and switched to reverse

man yall need to build a golf cart put a lift on it that would be awesome RBG needs its own golf cart
Hi, I know this post was 5 yrs ago but what kind of cable did you use for the acelerator pedal? any special bracket?
yes lifted golf cart!!!! 670? iv seen 1 or 2 they are awesome
Hey anyone know where I can get the stock rod bearings for the Duromax 440cc 18HP? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I would like to see yall do a 2wd mini bike with just one motor ( not a motor on front rack ) like to rokon or other similar bike.
Can this be quieted down enough to pass as electric at a campground?

His first part of this build has them
Like your portaband stand. What Pedal switch did you use on that?
Y’all should build a sleeper golf cart👌🏻
I've built a ez go with a gx390 Honda engine and I can't find a belt how can I acquire one ?
Hi whats that bill bourd for
Hi from N.C> I enjoy your videos greatly....I just put a 14hp electric start in my 1996 ezgo following your lead........I have turned the idle down as far as I can and the old main drive clutch is closing some at idle and grabbing the belt and the cart is trying to take off.......I suspect the main drive clutch is worn out as the old donor cart was.....what clucth can I use that will have to hit a higher rpm before engaging? Any chance you can find me the link on buying that belt? Doing a similar conversion so any info on that belt would be much appreciated!
How did you get fuel pump to work where do you put fuel hose on motor at one to carb one to tank third hose gose where on motr
That is what I am looking for right now. The best I can tell he used the hose on the the valve cover that normally goes to the air filter and used it for the pulse on the fuel pump.
how do i get a hold of you about work being done on my golf cart?
Awesome job!
Off road golf cart engage in 3 2 1!!! Go!!
I have the same golfcart and i want to build the same but what kind of clutch do you have?
what kind of dip do you buy redbeard
Where's the chips? Lol little man is funny
I like the golf car I am converting one over 2 gas doing a whole entire rear end swap and rebuilding the lift kit the left that is on mine is extremely sketchy I think if I hit a bump or something good enough the front end is going to fold up

how much would you charge for something like this i have the engine but i have a 16 hp
That intro pic of Brandon kills me everytime. Haha

Did someone say chips?Where they at?
Where did you hook your pulse hose for the gas tank up to your motor?
Never mind, i see. You used the valve cover hose that normally goes to the air filter.
If you are going to buy a new golf cart can you please install 2 18hp engines on it. Will it fit??
No there would be no room
Many motorcycle motors can fit in the space with a little modding.
Great build. Hi from Chattanooga
Offroad golf cart camping vehicle!
GOD BLESS YALL. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
What size motor is that ? Also was it electric before you started ?
Ok so 18 hp motor
I have a question ... how is the owner going to change the oil?
She will have me maintenance it
What engine did u swap it with ??
are you going to add a manual choke lever ???
Yeah just picked it up today
Red Beard's Garage awesome that will be really nice for the owners
cool!!!! Now u need to make u one but go crazy fast!!!!
What size drive belt did you use?
Great video red keep em comin! Red i got a question wich motor would you recomend for my trail master mb 200 the predator hemi 212 or tillitson 212 ?
Tillotson for sure
Thank you ur the man!
Is there any way to make this thing quieter 🤣🤣
Does anybody happen to know the belt serial number that’s being used in this video?
I do not but I used a rather long belt. A.A Drive Belt for EZGO ST480 Gas Golf Cart 2004-Up - 75691-G01, 75691G01. The belt measures roughly 1-1/8” x 48” OD
Is redbeards mass producing those seats I wanna preorder
That's a special edition seat. Lol
You have done come this far. Put a live axle kit on it
My engine is knocking on my Mini Bike and I tried everything except going inside it and it still knocks, should I look inside to fix it or upgrade to a 212cc Predator engine?
If you can adjust the valves after inspecting the rods for excessive wear. Might work out for ya.
I liked you build thanks for posting
Your rear diff isn’t going to last long. We put a 420 on our golf cart with 27inch mud boggers and now the axle slips in the diff. The splines are gone
That's not really the diffs fault, it's the big aggressive tires. It's like putting 40s on a dana 30 and expecting it to hold up.
They do that it's a design to have give on purpose those models go through at least one passenger axle in it's life and if it lives long enough the other one as well.

Yeah
