  • Having drawn an elk tag in Colorado, my time hunting my “backyard” in Wyoming was limited. I went up with my wife, to just enjoy the mountains and hope to get our emotions back in check. We did that and much more!

So damn cool that you guys got to share that together! I've wanted to share that with my wife aomethin awful, however..............I invited her when we were still in high school to join us for the last weekend of elk season, which turnt into a hell march of all hell marches and when we got back to the pickup she says "I'm NEVER elk hunting with you fuckers again, I'll move the pickup, cook, whatever but walking..........fuck NO." Trent I am incredibly sorry for your and Mckenzie's loss, I cannot imagine. My wife and I were very fortunate not to have any complications with our 4 pregnancies, but could still not imagine how hard that could've been. I'm glad you left that in the video for us all to feel with you guys

She is a trooper. USUALLY on her weekends she comes up, she will hike her butt off one day and then take the next day off. She’s used to a hell March or two but doesn’t enjoy it lol.

I ain't a real church goin feller but I do believe the big guy upstairs only gives us what he knows we cam handle and good or bad, everything happens for a reason. This bull, the video, you shared it side by side, not editing out the obvious............all was meant for us to see and share your pain in loss and success. Besides, if you get 'er on a hell march or two every elk season......she's a keeper! By god tougher'n most men too, can't ask for a better accomplice than that haha. You guys take care and I look forward to all the upcoming elk woods shit shows you wanna post, turns out I feel like I'm watching myself except for less swearing and chewing my own ass when I screw up.

It was an encounter that will be talked about forever with us!
Not to brag, but the load you saw was the light one 😂. I had “3 trips” in my head when it started, but when I went back and loaded up while mckenzi headed for the truck, I had one bag remaining and couldn’t leave it there for one more trip. So I strapped it on. I’ve done 2 trips quite a bit, but I usually don’t short change myself on the first trip, like I did on that one.
