No shortage of negative comments here. I think the show is solid for Ace Frehley in his early 70’s! It’s amazing he’s still here after all he’s put his body and brain through over the years. Sober almost 20 years regardless of what naysayers mumble, saw this show last summer front row. The band kicked ass! Go ACE!!!
Well said! Ace was never the strongest or most confident vocalist, so I’m not expecting a man in his 70s to sound like he did on the records 40 years ago!
I love Ace eaven though he sounds like a monkey here. He's one of a kind and the soul reason I learned the guitar. So I've been a pro musician for 30 years and all I have to say is, Thank you Ace.
Gig recording from stage left and people still don't get it. What quality do you think the mic is worth and your still bashing the sound. If you don't like it why do listen? Every single time I listen and watch an Ace gig, same people bashing him!?
Nah, he just hasn’t practiced enough in the last 20 years, and he is old. Also, all the years that he was on drugs and alcohol diminished his motor skills somewhat. He is sober here, however. I know this to be true, because he has been lacking for a long time
Not good , something sounds out of tune or they could be tuned a whole step down? ... ace was just on eddie trunks show saying how well he could still hit the notes ... well he didn't sound close to the right key through most of this , but its him singing live no lip sync ,it's real with a really good band behind him , as rock should be played , ace can still play guitar that's for sure , as a front man not really any more - but this is worth people's money because it's real and ace can still play ~ also I believe stanley owes ace and pete a public apology ... but I can't imagine stanley will apologize, so let's see if ace does what he says he's gonna do and reveal something horrible about stanley that could further tarnish the kiss brand and finish them before the last December shows? We shall see.

Meh, HE was never known for his vocal abilities. He would be better at playing if he would stop tossing picks all the time. However, his drummer is actually pretty good on the mic. He should do the singing. Aces playing here is fine. at least up to Parasite, then I turned it off and did some work. Oh one thing I have noticed on a lot of videos is, he phones in his enthusiasm, thats for sure. I might attribute it to being 70+ years old playing every night lugging around a 10 pound guitar. LOL
What makes my blood boil is Paul Stanley has lied and lied since the 'Reunion Tour' about this band that has NOT been KISS since 2002. The number of times PS's said verbatim "we love you people - without you we'd be nothing". "This is the last time you'll see KISS ever again" [1996]. And on the lies go - refuses to admit like a man he uses backing vocals when anyone with a computer can clearly see. But it his almost weird worshipping of long time KISS hanger-on hayer that to me is sickening. Ace 'was' KISS. Ace oozed cool, his use of smoking LP's, he like Steve Clark just oozed natural cool live. PS is a fraud, sadly Gene will never stand up to him. Thayer is a nobody within the music industry - find me 10 people Thayer's influenced/picked up a guitar? He simply tries to imitate a genuine legend. To see Ace playing small Sunset Strip iconic clubs while Thayer rakes in millions is sickening. Same with the brilliant wizard Tracii Guns - while the most over promoted 'Slash' plays stadiums when Tracii blows Hudson away.

Down a full a step guitars need to be dialed in, needs heavier gauge strings. Always sounds like this.
