On the opening track "Rip it out"verses he never fronts up to mic in time once.
With so many guitars backing him up it's achievable.

Well you wrong in so many way The musicians in Ace's band were actually Gene's back up band , all except the drummer who Ace used before .Gene and Ace did some shows together , Ace did not bring his regular band , he play with the same guys Gene used for his solo work , Ace went home fired his regular band and started using Gene's guys I was very disappointed , They sounded great , including Ace , but Ace claimed he was more creative outside of Kiss, so why does he play 75% Kiss music , he did not write or sing. Deuce , Strutter , Black Diamond , Detroit Rock City . To me Ace was not creative , he was a Kiss tribute band
@@franksaladino3938 To be fair and accurate, in Ace's current band he has only 2 from Gene's former band. Ace now has Zach Throne on bass. Gene did not have Zach Throne in his band.
And as you previously mentioned, Ace's drummer, Matt Starr, was not in Gene's band. So only 2 from Gene's band are currently in Ace's band.
Ace performed 13 songs that night, ONLY 3 of them were Kiss songs that he didn’t write.
Strutter, Detroit Rock City and Deuce (They did Not perform the song Black Diamond, they only played a very short piece of music from it).
And why wouldn’t he play some Kiss songs? He was a part of Kiss and Kiss is the most notable part of Ace’s career. It’s not strange that he plays 3 Kiss songs he didn’t write, that’s not strange, what would be strange, is if he didn’t.
So, for me, I don't mind his set list at all, although I wish he played 4 or 5 more songs on top of what he is already playing. So instead of 13, maybe 18 songs. And I would like to hear 'Speeding back to my baby', Save your love, Torpedo girl, Into the night, and maybe, 'Give it to me anyway'.

How come "Speedin' Back (To My Baby)" isn't on his set list?? That's a killer song. Among the greatest rock songs ever written. It's a stone classic. I can't believe he would perform a set without busting that one out.......That's insanity!
I agree. That song is my favorite Ace song. He plays it every now and then. He added it to his set list this year, but I think he took it off again. I hope it is still in the set when I go to his convert in August.

I still admire Ace’s playing from the 70’s very much and when I see guys like Neal Schon and Michael Schenker still playing at a very high level, it’s disappointing

Nope I didnt get to place a mic or any soundboard access, I just used my phone to record the show. The audio came out really good, considering.

Ace's sloppiness can be part of his charm, admittedly, and look, all the Kiss members get older and voices may not be as strong, of course, but the way he drops half of most the phrases he sings is such a let down. All you have to sing is 'Shock Me', but sometimes he can only seem to get out 'Shock...." He barely makes it to the mic to start many of his lines, dropping half. Again, I understand if he's not hitting all the notes anymore, but we want to at least hear you sing the words.

I saw Ace last week in Austin. He sounds really good for 72 and still plays better than 90% that pickup a guitar.

Tommy hasn’t done 1/20th of the drugs and alcohol Ace has. And makes a living off impersonating him. And ace has like 10 years on him. And at that age every year counts. Tommy’s probably a better guitar player today but couldn’t touch Ace from the 70s. Aces attitude, style, technique, and solos are untouchable
