Ace's verses were not the best. But the🎸guitar and 💨smoke performance still give me goosebumps🦆. "Cold Gin" is one of the greatest KISS💋songs.

I think I saw longer version of this few years ago. The point was that Ace, probably after second quit, was speaking about Gene and Kiss in his typical way. Making complaints against them and the people were applauding... and then Gene came. So I don't think, Ace was depressed by audience yelling: "Gene!" on his birthday party, but totaly emberrassed. "Uhm... I was shuting on you and now you're here with the cake for me.... "

It has likely already been pointed out by others, but I always found it humorous that if you look closely when they pan the crowd, several times, you can see people flying "the bird." Especially funny because it was on network TV. Standards and practices likely reviewed it on fast forward and said, "Yeah, it's fine, air it..." lol!

I’d say that was more than fair especially since most hired musicians get an annual salary. And very very few salaried musicians make $1 million per year.
