- Inspired by Miriam Tillson's 365 sketchbook challenge! I tried drawing every day in a dayplanner for the purpose of freeing up imagination and recording the mundane.

😍😍 these kinds of "ugly" Sketchbooks r always the most satisfying to watch!! Something about the experimentation and randomness
I think these kinds of sketchbooks are the most beautiful and thank you for sharing them with us! I completly understand the feeling of not liking what youve made or feeling like you didnt do well enough, but all of those feelings are just one persons subjective experience. If I had made almost any of the pages in this book I would be overjoyed and so proud even if you think they are some of your worst pages. I dont know, you probably dont need a pep talk but I just thought it was cool. Your art is wonderful and never fails to inspire, delight and amaze me :))
Well that’s given me a load of inspiration for this chilly Yorkshire afternoon! Your willingness to try lots of different media together shines here and you have sooo many ideas. Thanks as always, great video…😊
I have a "scribble book" and sketch book, i keep the sketchbook looking nicer to scratch that itch, and if i draw something i rlly like in the scribble book i can just ut and stick it into the sketchbook. i never put away the scribble book its always kept somewhere i can
reach it
I actually kinda love this sketchbook. It shows the raw version of what was going on - big art, little art, missed days, etc. But, I see what you mean about how things like contrast make a huge difference. And, collages. I really need to do random collages more often.
maybe what's hard about collage is it requires sitting at a table and moving things compared to staying on the couch and grabbing a pen 😅
i love the imperfectness of your "ugly" sketchbook, that you tried lots of different styles and yeah had a couple of empty pages. Its real. And it is inspiring and has made me feel like I want to try this too
Yeah, go for it! If it doesn't work out, it could turn into a perpetual journal, and try again as the days roll back around XD
Thank you for sharing! This is what a sketchbook should look like. With all its creativity, experimentation, scribbeling, really nice drawings, colour, sketches, exercises, maybe collages etc. I think it is important to sometimes just do it. As, I think it was Picasso said: There is such thing as inspiration, but it has to find you working.
Even if you don't feel like being creative, if you are used to grabbing pen/pencil and sketchbook when you want to express your feelings, then it starts to come naturally at some point and you get freer in your expression.
sei stata brava, :)
