An alien civilization in Messier 110 might see Andromeda as some sort of a boundary, with twin gods ruling over their respective sections of the sky. One side could be male and the other female. They could also see the galactic core as the gateway to the realm where the gods live.
4:20 Imagine what a sapient species would interpret the view as in their mythologies, before they undergo their scientific revolution and discover that it's their galaxy colliding with two others.
We apes developed the tendency to make religions out of everything because of our ability to identify faces and infer intent from inanimate objects and events. To think that aliens would have religions and superstitions at all is yet another anthropocentric bias.

I can only imagine what kind of mythologies and belief systems would arise on some of these planets based on their night skies (in the infinitesimal chance they evolved sapient species who saw the same light wavelengths we do)
One group believes the galaxy is the eye of God. Another group believes it is the winds of God. That have been at war over it for millenias. Yet a nother group believes it is the frisbee of God. They're pretty chill.
imagine you're a species on a planet near the triple galaxy collision and you don't have any way of seeing light, so you're basically just cursed to never see the beauty of the universe
Watching these videos never fails to remind me of how mind-bogglingly large the universe is and how little we understand about it. It's like a mini existential crisis every upload.
It's so wild and so sad that a lot of people interested in space and space travel won't even get that chance in this current time. There's so much to see and we'll be dead by the time we get to see it all.
1:44 , just imagine to live here... I know that many images of space doesn't looks that good in reality because our eye isn't sensitive enough to see it all, but I'm almost sure we could perfectly see that big shine that covers the entire sky and amaze at every second of living there
This may be the most beautiful video I've ever watched...🥺 Such majestic views...and the music? It really gives a sensation of admiring these views, yet feeling lonely in the cosmos.
In the name of your community, thank you StarGaze for creating such beautiful insights in the universe. The music sends shivers down my spine everytime.
@@dtxspeaks268 I don't feel the need why you need to drag my profile picture into this; this pfp has been my default for nearly SIX YEARS, I do not in any capacity even like anime, but I am simply too unbothered to change it. You're grasping at straws and throwing shade at something completely unrelated to my point. And quite frankly-It seems like you're the one being negative here. My point is: the creator of this video DID NOT put the game's name in the description, the video, or the title. That is a simple fact-not a personal attack of vendetta of any kind. This kind of omission misleads people into thinking these space "simulations" are HIS OWN creation rather than an already existing game. It's frustrating as a fan of Space Engine and it muddies the water for viewers who might want to explore the game themselves. So maybe, just maybe, instead of wasting time projecting whatever weird assumptions you've got against me based off of a stupid profile picture, you could actually focus on the point.
Funny thing with these galaxies being so far away is that even if species in those galaxies saw that happening, they would be since long extinct by the time the light reaches our galaxy.
Hey Stargaze, I watched all you're videos ever since the falling into Jupiter. I also love to explore on Space Engine and listen to Scott Buckley's music. I have a video suggestion for you, try travelling into IC 1101. It is the biggest known galaxy in the observable universe and takes ages to get into the centre.
Wow° such an amazing content just finished watching your Videos 😊 as a student who loves astronomy this channel is truly a treasure!! Keep growing Love from 🇮🇳
Looking at galaxies really helps put into perspective just how tiny and insignificant we are. Not to mention that the universe is even larger beyond comprehension.
ARP 272 is stunning. I wonder how crazy it'd look if the scenery/planet, was decorated like an early Earth, with trees and rivers etc, and look up in the daytime to see that sky.
Would love to see a descent simulation into the exoplanet Tres-2b Thank you for the time and creativity you put into making these videos, me and my father both love them
Oof, RUclips's compression algorithm did not do any favors to the details in this video, especially during the darker scenes and transitions. I had to manually turn it up to 1440p60 to be able to discern much detail during those bits. Any chance of uploads in 4K quality uploads going forward, to help mitigate the crushing oppression of RUclips compression?
What I like to whink when watching this kind of videos, is that these are not just some fictional places. These, planets, galaxies, stars and views are THERE. They are unimaginably far away, but do exist. Right now, on these planets are rocks on the surface being bombarded with cosmic and stellar radiation, including light. Light we could see, rocks we could walk on and pick up and, maybe even wind we could hear and feel. Warmth of their stars. And if we were to look up, we would see this, a sky completely different than ours and entirely unique. And there are functionally infinite unique planets in functionally infinite galaxies, all with their own views like this.
I have app that show me what is that object that i showing on sky >how can i see andromeda at night, i heard people Say you cant see objects outside of the milky way?

They're on Space Engine. There's so much more to see (I found a 10 Jupiter mass planet with a moon that looked like an icy Earth)
These views are outstanding on their own but the music puts it over the top. Space is a lonely place but this captures the beauty of it all the same.
In space, no one can hear you play the piano and violins.
You can hear the faint sound of seconds ticking, reminiscent of Interstellar
An alien civilization in Messier 110 might see Andromeda as some sort of a boundary, with twin gods ruling over their respective sections of the sky. One side could be male and the other female.
They could also see the galactic core as the gateway to the realm where the gods live.
Or maybe it's like a cut through the universe made by a huge godly sword
@ Maybe according to their mythology, one of the gods sliced open the universe with the sword in a battle over which god would rule the mortal realm
They for sure would have something along those line in their mythology
well, black holes are considered by some to be gateways, of sorts
I'm gonna use this as a story idea
4:20 Imagine what a sapient species would interpret the view as in their mythologies, before they undergo their scientific revolution and discover that it's their galaxy colliding with two others.
There will still be a big cluster of beings who deny science and try to force their mythology upon the rest of them.
@@bradjohnson482 Seems plausible, given that there are beings like that on Earth.
We apes developed the tendency to make religions out of everything because of our ability to identify faces and infer intent from inanimate objects and events. To think that aliens would have religions and superstitions at all is yet another anthropocentric bias.
@bradjohnson482 oh brother. It's not mythology to them. As long as someone isn't a bigot WHO CARES?

The universe is cruel. We may see them, but will never reach them. Truly island universes.
