Xicanos are all Hispanico. You need to be super super low key and dress like locals to blend in as much as possible. i am aware that Xicanos often stick out regardless but discretion is key. At 23-24 you are still a Bebe but don't be playing no games . Mexico is good and has been for many years as far as i am concerned. but just like there are places where you know you could be in trouble in the US ,its the same precautions you have take over there
This is truly a tragic and sad. I go several times a year. I Love it and will continue to visit, maybe retire. I’ve never not once had an issue in over 30 years of doing so. There are certain things I would advise. Don’t drive at night. More because of poor infrastructure/potholes/speedbumps. Don’t have tinted windows. If you do roll them down around cops. They assume you’re hiding something or someone. Obey the traffic laws and blend in. Ironically enough it means don’t use your signals. But drive aggressive enough to move and not hold people behind you up and at the same time courteous to those around you. Blend in by not driving something that looks expensive. Don’t look expensive either. Keep the iPhone in your pocket or give the impression you think you’re better than anyone down there. Dress clean but down. Try not to stand out. Have empathy for the people of a developing country and know there are young men with little or no opportunity that see you as an opportunity if you look like easy pray or someone they may not like with something they may want. Just like the U.S. nothing good is happening late at night outside of your place of sleep. Same advice for the most part I’d give living in LA. Or most U.S. poor areas.

As soon as you say Trump was right you lose all credibility. A guy who claims Biden didn't send help for hurricane victims even though mayor said other wise. Or how about when he said he was building a wall & having Mexico pay which didnt happen. How about when he claimed Haitian immigrants are eating pets again government officials, police & citizens debunked that. Or maybe when he said covid can be cured by spraying disinfectant in your mouth or how he said covid wasnt serious & would be gone without a vaccine again didnt happen. Dont even get me started on his crimes both that hes already been convicted of & others he hasn't. You say Mexico is a hell hole yet there the politicians didn't claim rigged election & also the last & now president elect both praised each other unlike politicians here that rather trash any1 who doesnt share their views or that rather talk about some1's fake eyelashes than actual issues.
It’s almost like they’ve said not to go to Mexico for the last 20 years… gee I wonder why 🤦♂️
Right
Last 15 years. Last i went it was still kind of safe.
Is there a safe area for tourism purposes, or is it like this everywhere?
Longer than 20 years.
But people still go to Detroit, Chicago, St Louis, LA, SF etc..
I have a friend who was born in Mexico. Her family came here when she was 12 - her mother was born in Galveston, TX, so they were able to legally live here. She has relatives who live in Mexico and she says she will not go there to visit them. They are welcome to come here to visit her, but she says it is much too dangerous to visit them. My sincere condolences to this family and prayers sent.
My question remains the same: Why do you and I and so many people know this while others are STILL oblivious enough to visit?
I’ll answer your question, ignorance will keep you indoors and out of harms way! Everyone else will just live their life.
So sorry for your loss. May God comfort both you and the rest of your family through this difficult time. My deepest condolences. 😓💐💐💐
Yikes, like the Ensenada surfers from Autralia that were killed this April by cartel members.
I felt so sad when I saw the news. Really sad
They are dumb enough to camp in a secluded area.
@kujoxes582 hello they were turist
I went two months ago to Ensenada and on our way back it was about ten pm a truck run in front of us and shoot a very bright light so we couldn't see and another two cars one behind and the other on our right side. The road was empty only us i got so nerves and scared, i started praying to arcangel Michael for protection we didn't stop we run faster and got to check point where you pay to use the road. And after we lost them. It was a horrible experience, I told my husband that I was never going to go back. I don't know if I do go I love to go but I don't know anymore. God bless you all and protect you.
Know your surroundings.
That's not always effective
i live in mexico, over 200,000 cartel assasinations in the last six years. and now we have a new woman president who is a called a cartelpresidenta. so expect to double that figure for the next six years. she already said she ain't gonna do anything against them. thank god i sent my children to live to spain last year.
😂😂 why do you think she got elected?
Was the last president not also with the cartel?
What? Omg. May God protect you and your children.
@@JohnMarston-g6w yes, john. the last president AMLO even had a meeting with el chapo's mom two years ago. i just hope that the u.s. NEVER goes through with this inferno.
Your High man, Mexico is on a rebound. The last six years where the Best six years Mexico has had. We are facing the work of Felipe Calderon and his corrupt cabinet! It’s a mess he himself confessed to Pepe Aguilar the famous singer, that Mexico would not be able to get out of for at least 35 years. What more can be said! He then fled to Spain after his Preaidency!
Im tired of these people saying “those are very very rare interactions, the rest of mexico is beautiful” im not hearing it cuz theres always an attack every start and end of the week!
Being a narco state out weighs whatever beauty there is in mexico.
yup innocent people die all the time trust me
Maybe you should start cleaning up your drug addiction habits and they'll be gone
Well, I hear way more often about mass shootings in the USA than killings in Mexico. Does the same logic apply?
@@gab_gallard nah cuz we prosecute these guys in america, they dont, infact their ‘law’ is corrupt making it so that this happens every day. theyre just as bad as the killers.
I would not visit Mexico if they paid me
ikr
I got to mexico often
eat tacos, get laid, party
Then again I know spanish, know how to make friends and avoid danger
And I know to run or fight if need be
Don't visit Los Angeles either.
Go and tell that to all the foreigners who live in Mexico, especially Europeans. They all say they feel safe no issues at all so get your facts straight. This is this can happen in LA California or anywhere in the United States.
Pretty sure you would go for a million dollars
so people are just getting shot while driving no warning no chance of survival??? People stop going to shitxico stay home and stay alive! it's not worth losing your life.
and here it is, the media darling... fyi people get shot 10x more for no reason in california and chicago alone..
and yes this is ensanada.. a US/Mexico border town... iliterate
yeah why go there when you have Figueroa Street in your town
Try to say that In Mexico you retar no need to diss a whole country as a Mexican that’s my motherland if you don’t love yours that’s your problem
I’m the United States, they have mass shootings, does that same logic apply?
Lmaoo 😂 @@OuterSpace-1-0.0
I was literally just there, the whole weekend, drove up on tuesday from Ensenada. I have CA plates, but its a honda civic, windows are tinted. What a sad story, worse, because they only stole a phone. I'm sure they wanted to hijack the car? Don't drive with flashy cars, don't drive at night, don't drive with loud music. American cars will always be an opportunity to see what's in it. The city of Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe is very safe, just know that it's the equivalent of trying to be flashy in Compton, you might be a target at certain times...
In Mexico, if you have a gold tooth, the people there will try to get it away from you.
Prayers and condolences
I know a women who went to Mexico and was drinking as she walked down the road a truck with 8 men inside grabbed her took her to the side of the road and took turns on her .after they left she flagged down a car cop and the 2 cops took turns on her .
wtf?
I always wanted to go to Mexico but I’m too afraid of the cartel 😂
Same
Parts of LA and SD are more dangerous than parts of Mexico
Yucatan, Campeche specifically is very safe........ safest place in Mexico
But basically EVERYTHING north of mexico city is so dangerous I don't even bother
And thats saying a lot, because I camp all over the world, camped all over Mexico, Colombia etc
Cartels probably less an issue than street criminals/addicts

So sorry to hear about your loved ones Mexico is crazy right now I wouldn't go there for free , again so sorry to hear about your brother....
I have not been to Mexico since 2008. In 1992, a friend and I were driving into TJ and were stopped by a police officer on foot at a stop sign. He makes up some violation that we did when we approached the stop. I looked at my friend and said to her in English that he wanted money. Never will I drive my car there and honestly I don't know if I'll ever visit. It's beautiful beach country, lots of history, but man so many Americans are disappearing or getting killed.
Story makes no sense and is clearly missing lots of details. I'm sure the embassy has lots of questions lined up for the survivors. May the young man rest in peace.
They shot the driver and tried to rob them after they crashed, criminal minds don't make sense to your point
RIP, my dear man. May he rest in peace. He will be missed.
OMG this is so horrible my condolences to the family friends and boyfriend
Nah, this is suspicious as hell. Every single day THOUSANDS of CA residents and USA citizens cross to Tijuana, Rosarito, Ensenada. They killed him for a cellphone? C'mon no one is gonna attempt to kill 3 people for a phone. I'm sure there's more to this story no one will ever know. Still, my condolences. And before i get screamed at, i was born and raised in TJ, and ive been to Rosarito, Ensenada, Tecate my whole life. Currently I live in CA and cross the border every now and then so i know how things work around here.
Definitely there’s more to the story ..
All we can do is hush because we ain't gonna make a difference. 😢
99% of these kind of stories always leave the full context. Media just jumps on it to demonize all Mexicans. Like everyone getting wacked by cartels are innocents
Condolences 💐
Ashamed, embarrassed, sad that’s how I feel about my country. Don’t go to Mexico is not worth it
Never visit there. What a tragedy.
Sorry for his loss and his poor family.
Highway bandits - but don’t worry, people will still say Mexico is the safest country on the planet - don’t pay attention to that headless mayor in that Mexican city either
This is a sad story… but anyone who travels south of the US Mexican border, especially with a vehicle licensed in the U.S. is risking their life!
Failed state, why even go
My bf is wanting to go to Mexico to see his family and this video just sparked my anxiety so bad
Man y’all can have Mexico I’m good ✌🏾 RIP

John, if you are low key you could be ok.,
Rest In Peace. My deepest condolences to your family.
Im hispanic but my parents and rest of my older family are all Mexican. Theres a reason they dont like us to go on trips there anymore, even in Jalisco. I’m in my mid 20s now and ive traveled the world extensively but I wont go to Mexico again. Does anyone remember the Australian surfers who all got chopped up?
Xicanos are all Hispanico. You need to be super super low key and dress like locals to blend in as much as possible. i am aware that Xicanos often stick out regardless but discretion is key. At 23-24 you are still a Bebe but don't be playing no games .
Mexico is good and has been for many years as far as i am concerned. but just like there are places where you know you could be in trouble in the US ,its the same precautions you have take over there
Condolences to family and loved ones.
So sorry for your loss. There is no way I’d go to Mexico. Even a trip to the airport is dangerous there.
I live in Mexico , it is pretty wild the past year , I really don't travel in Mexico , just to store / market
Or most U.S. poor areas.
Should close the boarder permanently
Can you be on the other side, too? 😊 I like my Americans able to spell.
That won't happen, do you know how much money America makes daily from Mexico...they are Not giving that up.

I lived in Southern California for decades. I would travel 5 hours beyond Ensenada to volunteer at a medical eye clinic. This was during the 1980's & 1990's. I had a wife & 3 kids in a camper. We didn't lock doors to camper or car, even at night. I would not even think of doing that in 2024 ! I do my volunteer work in Panama but, of course, I fly down there. Stay safe but do good things to help others.
