Okay so, for those of you won't do know, i'm a huge fan of the Eternals movie. I know a lot of people didn't like it but the movie really was so interesting and original to me.
The whole idea of bringing a character like Ikaris, literally the Superman of the MCU in a way, and making him, this complex character really was one of the best ideas of the movie to me, and i'm glad to be able to edit him.

and the camera showed ikairs face that little foreshadow.
Ikaris was such a great character. You could feel how conflicted he was, how confused. And his ending was heavy, nothing like the standard mcu. Great film
He was blinded by loyalty, not regarding to nth you said, but idk Phastos said he's been wanting to hurt him for a while, Thena said she always wanted to fight him(this could be due to her personality of loving to fight or she hates Ikaris) for some reason, I felt bad for him
He isn't dead
His ending was for sure heavy but not the way you mean it. I liked the movie and I loved Ikaris but the writing in it had some problems heare and there. At the end where he flew into the sun to "burn away his sins", I don't think this was a good idea. He should have stayed alive and try to get redemption, to do something good, to clear his mind and live a life suffering with the consequences. He should not have chosen an easy way out just because he was conflicted. That way, it's like the movie is saying to us, "no matter how many mistakes you make in life take the easy way out and leave the one's behind, the one's who are still breathing to suffer the consequences for you". I don't think this was the way to go.
@@alexpalpatine8437 not sure though, he was like crushed by guilt and regret. He could either serve his purpose and betray his "family", or defile his God and help his "family"., 2 things he had strong faith in. He couldn't have both, so he made a choice and that choice made him kill one of his family. Knowing and doing all this, then facing the other eternals, looking at them, the guit would be rather heavy
@@velk2897 Let's take that example and put it in real life. You're saying that it's better for him take the easy way out than just face his guilt, get in touch with his feelings or see the consequences of the bad things that he did. Because all movies have messages that apply to real life (either voluntarily or not) and this is the message that this movies gives us. "Do bad things in life but as long as you understand it and take the easy way out, it's okay". In the movie the rest of the eternals didn't, neither the world. They all were like "He did bad things, but he's dead now, we forgive him silently and we're moving on quickly to the sequel.
I'd be mad as hell too if my leader told me to have faith and let me in on this big secret for thousands of years and I isolated myself from my loved ones to keep them happy and not lie to them, only for the same leader to up and decide 'oh wait, all of that was for nothing because now, now I want to stop this from happening...seven days away. Like...if that was the fucking case, they could have been acting for thousands of years in order to slow/stop the emergence and he could have never left Sersi's side.
He wasn't evil, he wasn't bad - he was just on the wrong side. he chose the celestrials and billions of future lives while the others chose humanity (they didn't even have Ajax's reasoning that there's something special about Earth, something peculiar about it that makes it different from every other planet).
For those who are loyal to their beliefs and act selflessly. Ikaris is a relatable character.
Glad to see people who liked the movie the same way as I did. It was original af, loved how the CGI is so refreshing and so unique around the MCU.

Ikaris, as far as I'm concerned was the most complex and fleshed out character in the Eternals without him the movie would have fallen apart.

he is just a man trying to hold on to everything his love for his family and wife and his duty to the celestials. but deep inside there is a man who is broken into thousands of pieces all he want is to cut loose from everything it didn't happen so he killed himself finally he found the peace he ahs been looking for thousands of years. He deserves all the happiness. by the way fantastic edit.

Richard Madden is the center of this movie. I really liked the way he played Ikaris. In some ways, he reminds me Omni-man, loyal to their leaders and, well, their escape scene from Earth is nearly identical:)

I just realized, he left Sersi after Babaylon(it think it was), so he left after Ajak told him the truth of their mission. He couldn’t be with Sersi knowing the truth would hurt her bc he knew how much she loves humanity. Regardless of what did, he did LOVE SERSI❤️
And Serci still loved Ikaris and forgave him just before he flew off in shame and regret to her.
I believe she has feelings for Dane, as she told Sprite, but even Sprite knew Sersi never stopped loving and missing Ikaris.

I wish they made it a series instead of trying to unpack everything in two hours, imagine how much better the story would have been if they had eight hours to fully show the origin of the main characters, to flesh out the evolving deviant, give ajak a bit more story time, give the black knight a bit more story time, it would have been great had they turned it into a marvel tv show

For those of you who aren’t familiar, all the eternals were based off of Greek/Roman mythology. IKaris is Icarus. Whose father was the crippled Hephaestus who was a magical builder. Hephaestus built Icarus a marvelous pair of feathered wings held by beeswax, but warned him to never rival the sun in its glory with his wings of lesser glory. To know his place, so to speak and to never approach the sun’s glorious orbit. But Icarus was prideful, and disregarded his father’s advice, flew too close to the sun and the sun’s rays melted the beeswax and sent Icarus plummeting back down to earth. From this myth. We get the expression of, “pride goeth before the fall.” As in, when you do not recognize and appreciate your true and honest place in the universe and think yourself unduly special, you are then doomed.
the father of icauss is daedalus.

No matter what general audience or critics said, I love this movie with all my heart, it's beautiful and remarkable in its own way.
Ikaris's character told a tragic story, he was loyal to a false mission till the end, he betrayed everyone he ever loved and cared, because he wouldn't live with himself if he didn't. At the end, he's broken just like Thena and all other Eternals.

The movie was not robust plotwise but the cast did a great job and so did the Vfx artists. The Celestial interaction moments were so real and massive, I was in awe about the possibility of such a stellar creature. It was beautiful. Loved this video. Focusing on how Ikaris had to go through the dilemma of choice, duty and love, being so torn that he had to finally end in obliteration.

Love Icarus so much his entire character was amazing but I’m upset that they killed him I feel like they could have done something else idk what but I feel like killing him was just a waste of character development

Yeah I'm almost 44 hours comic shop when I was a kid and a teenager and I gotta see all the best comics that like the 80s 90s run in 2 thousands I've lost touch everything I want to hell turn the c***. and so many people complain about this movie being terrible and I watched it and I was blown away they filmed everything outside the CGI was super amazing and is a huge huge scale film especially being filmed outside which you don't see too many films do that be successful with the end to CGI to work with all that huge scale. it's just amazing and so me Marvel movies in Marvel works crashed and burned turn c*** and people really crab donuts movie and the director when she had just finished it. People were rude and complaining like I was also bothered by people who are really in the comics with my phone comic readers I used to be but they were complaining how the characters were changed when a kind of book it was all white dudes and I'm a white dude so I can appreciate that and all but the realism of not everybody I don't like you and I'm not liberal I'm not woke at all. but I mean it's good that they change that I'm not good for changing everything on the comics and they really do ruin a lot of stuff black panther 2 is trash all the Marvel stuff trash cause 2 woke people complained about this movie being too woke I don't think it was I mean the directors from China and there were a few Woke things at Disney crammed down their throat no doubt and we could see that there's a little woke as in this movie but considering the scale things that this was still a great movie it still turned out really phenomenal I wish they would have done better for sprite though that character was really not know well and I think she was too young for the part and it just it could have been done better

Tbh Arishem's way is just fucked up. With such abilities, why not just harvest a virgin exoplanet and grow infinite clones if he needs organic energy in order to generate a Celestial?!?? This some Galactus shit

Ikaris was the good soldier who lived 2,000 years alone because he knew how the world was going to end. He truly loved Sersei and showed it in the end and he didn’t kill Gighmish

But this is a man/robot that's lived 1000's of years. and knowing that there would be no redemption both from Arishem and his Family, life for him was pretty much over. He only loved one person who he would never get back and disobeyed his duty to Arishem. That's how I see it

If phastos know the truth like ikaris did he would have never met ben and have kid, if kingo know the truth he would have never became the movie star he is, if everyone knew the truth like ikaris did they will either accept the truth and move on or fight against aresham. he sacrificed his own happiness to keep ajak's secret for fucking 5000 years and in the end it's all for nothing.

This movie only went half way of what it could of done. I wanted to see chaos and didn't. So I was extremely disappointed. However the characters were incredibly well developed and I rly liked where this film was going. However it only went half way...
