    Eternals it's an underrated masterpiece, as well as Richard Madden's performance. This man really nailed Ikaris' conflict and delivered every complex emotion with such grace. If he doesn't come back, that we'll be a waste of both character and amazing actor.
    Also, this was breathtaking! Loved every second of it.

    I don’t know why people hate this 🤷‍♂️
    The work, the writing, the visuals, the cast, and everything else is what my ideal mcu movie would be. An old book series I made with my friend was heavily based on modern greek gods, and Eternals is exactly what I’d picture the book series as a live action film. It gives me chills every time I watch this movie. Easily my top 10

    Ikaris knew the truth for the longest time after Ajak.
    It made him such that he never got too close to humans, stayed away from his one true love for centuries, for the sake of his purpose, the reason for his creation, he killed Ajak, who was like a mother to him. He lied to his friends and tried to kill them, but even after all that, when the moment called for it, his love won over his duty towards Arishem. Having had betrayed his purpose and his love due to his own cowardice and softness, Ikaris lost his reason to live. His act of suicide after the dust settled was bourne out of his shame and disgust in himself.

    That was an amazing tribute to his character. I love to see edits of people who have understood ikaris' complexity and his conflict about duty and love. He's one of my favorite complex characters and Richard's work was outstanding. I also think ikaris could return and it's explained in the movie how there's a way to that and I think if he did he'd also could have an interesting story again.

    An amazing video, for an amazing character!!! He is the best for me. He represents the loyal soldier of his creator with an unquestionable faith and obedience. He was even willing to give up on everything he loved becuase of his purpose and mission. I loved the questions this movie generates about who were the real villains? The creator and his loyal soldier who just wanted to perpetuate life as part of a perfect cicle since the crearion of the universe, or a little group of poeple stopping the cicle, judging the willing of a god by killing another god based on human morality and selfishness, causing billions of lifes to never exist for saving just a few? This is actually what a movie has to detonante in the viewer, adding a little more than just action and entertainment. The fact it is a super hero movie, doesn't mean it can't be deep enough, and Eternals proves it. C'm on... You even need a little of basic history knowledge to fully appreciate it!!! It's beautiful. I'm so glad this is getting more attention now after being on streaming. It was a shame many fans got based on characters' low popularity and bad critics, so they didn't go to watch in theasters (Fortunatelly... I wasn't one of them 😌). 💙 Can't wait for a sequel and see one of my favorite heroes ever returning! 💙

    If phastos know the truth like ikaris did he would have never met ben and have kid, if kingo know the truth he would have never became the movie star he is, if everyone knew the truth like ikaris did they will either accept the truth and move on or fight against aresham. he sacrificed his own happiness to keep ajak's secret for fucking 5000 years and in the end it's all for nothing.

    I loved the movie and I loved Ikaris but the writing in it had some problems heare and there. At the end where he flew into the sun to "burn away his sins", I don't think this was a good idea. He should have stayed alive and try to get redemption, to do something good, to clear his mind and live a life suffering with the consequences. He should not have chosen an easy way out just because he was conflicted. That way, it's like the movie is saying to us, "no matter how many mistakes you make in life take the easy way out and leave the one's behind, the one's who are still breathing to suffer the consequences for you". I don't think this was the way to go.

      I think Areshem will repurpose Ikaris because, of all the Eternals, Ikaris was the only one who truly kept to their mission over thousands of years. Yes, the others wanted to save Earth’s humans and colonize another planet with them, but would a celestial seedling eventually be placed inside that new planet, too? Ikaris basically said that to Sersi when they were talking off the ship before the Emergence began.
      I think I saw a streak like a comet or meteor go towards the sun ahead of Ikaris to save him. I could be, and most likely am wrong…wishful thinking…
      Love you Richard Madden. You’re a phenomenal actor!

    • @tubemanchannel3801
      @tubemanchannel3801 2 года назад

      Now I'm thinking better, Ikaris didn't believe he was wrong, when he flew into the sun, was because he felt that he betrayed himself and his purpose, how I say this? Ikaris is not human, he didn't think as the humans or the other eternals, being punished for the acts he made is useless for his mentality.

    I feel like Chole wanted to make a more morally grey contemplative movie but Marvel railroaded her into a more simple black and white movie. All the pieces seem there to really explore what the celestial are and what kind of a force they represent

    Human exceptionalism is the worst of Hollywood's romantic tropes. The survival of the human race being more important than the natural order of the universe, because we can laugh and dream and love. 🤮 It's really cool that Ikaris was afforded a counter argument in favour of the natural order, even if that philosophy naturally made him the villain.
    One day I want to see the Thanos was right and Ikaris was right crowd vindicated in a Marvel movie, it will never happen though, humanity always has to be superior.

      @@tubemanchannel3801 Heliocentricism, the notion that planet Earth is the centre of the Universe and humans are the only intelligent race and the peak of creation is an old religious doctrine and of course wrong. But this philosophy made its way into Hollywood because it gives audiences hope and a feeling of superiority that we as humans really shouldn't have, given how insignificant we actually are in the Universe.

      @tubemanchannel3801 2 года назад

      @@2nd3rd1st Okay, but we are not talking about Heliocentricism, that is an old and obsolete philosophy that actually most of the people don't have, I am talking about the value of the humanity, maybe we are insignificant in front the universe, but we are significant to the Earth, and is enough for us.
