As an Arkansan, I'm always surprised by how surprised outsiders are of Arkansas. We're called the Natural State. We have mountains, rivers, swamps, forests, etc. There is also a lot of good food, good music and neat history. Don't write us off because the movies portray us as Hicks. There's a lot of culture here.
I’m an Arkansan too, but I can’t wait to get out of this reactionary hellhole
People are so nice.❤❤❤
@@greytooth898I’m in the woods in Tennessee. I hear you . There’s nowhere to hide .
Great now theyre going to move here and ruin it
Arkansas is full of so many hidden treasures! People have no idea what a great state this is and honestly I think that helps keep it nice!
Lots of sisterwives down that way?
Nope.
Finally, someone who doesn't hate my state
Seems Like It.
I'd like to possibly move there since houses are so cheap. It also looks alot like Oregon where I'm currently at. I hope the people are better.
My husband and I honeymooned in Eureka Springs 29 years ago. We stayed in a cabin over the White River. It looks very much the same.
Finally ARKANSAS!! 🙌🏻 ❤️
Come to Bentonville & visit Crystal Bridges.
It’s less than an hour from Eureka Springs!
I plan on driving from TN to Bentonville around Christmas. Probably stop at Eureka for a visit. seems like a relaxing town. This is where the movie F.R.E.D.I. was filmed. Wanna see all the set locations as well as walmart museum. There is also a church in the woods, don't remember the name. What are the Crystal Bridges you spoke about? Any good hotels that you recommend?
@@PickledHam Crystal Bridges is the modern art museum and nature trails built by Alice Walton (Sam Walton’s daughter). It’s simply amazing! Look it up! The best hotel in Bentonville is 21C, it’s located right off the town square. Or there are lots of Airbnb’s near the Bentonville Square. The best restaurants are on the square too. Table Mesa is a must!
ISTANBUL in 1959 (colored) ruclips.net/video/N0X37xcfQp4/видео.html
@@PickledHam it’s a fantastic museum in Bentonville, AR. Google it. It’s well worth the visit if you like art. The building itself is a work of art.
Yes!
I have been travelling to Eureka since i was months old with my family.
The Little Rock Cabins are still there . The Crescent Hotel is an amazing attraction. So many others.....
There Is no other place on the planet like Eureka Springs Arkansas and I love it and I still go there and I'm 71 and my kids still go there and we vacation there. It's just a beautiful place with lots of cool energy which I attribute to all the crystals underneath the ground...
Eureka Springs has a wonderful history. You can't get to know the town in just a couple of days. The history is unbelievable. I was born there in 1950 and lived there for a short while in my teens. Every once in a while I come back to my "roots" and refresh my soul in this little town.
Would recommend it as a place to live?
@@StallionFernando it depends what kind of lifestyle you want to live.
In my opinion it's the best place in the world to live.
But that's just me and approximately 5000 others in the general area.
@@steveh7108 I think Eureka Springs looks beautiful and Holiday Island seems pretty awesome as well. I wanna start a family and the green mountains, trees and rivers remind me of where I grew up. No I am not a liberal weirdo, so no worries about that. What is the job market like?
@@StallionFernando job market you ask, well it's like this: Eureka Springs and Holiday Island have always been very tough to make a living. And in my opinion that's one of the reasons it is such a great place to live. Because the people that move here and choose to stay here, do it because they truly love the area and the people. Not because they think they're going to get rich and make a fortune.
That being said, for the last two years or so there have been many more jobs and construction going on then in my recent memory around here.
My suggestion if you choose to move around here would be to scale back your cost of living and not expect all the extravagance and wasteful spending that people tend to do in the big cities.
The Fail-Safe is that the job market on the other side of Beaver Lake in Rogers, Bentonville and Fayetteville is a huge job market with many opportunities. Those areas have been growing very fast for decades because it's where the home office's reside for Walmart, Tyson Foods and JB Hunt which triggered the growth with all of the vendors, retailers and essentially a economic boom just a stone's throw away on the other side of the lake. So that is always a failsafe for job Seekers and income.
@@StallionFernando if you don't mind me asking, where is it you are moving from?
I’m from Green Forest about 15 min away from Eureka Springs . So glad you guys visited ! It’s really a cute hidden gem 💎
Random question, is there alot of latinos in AR state? (I'm Latino and i would like to visit with my family but I'm the only one that is Bilingual in my family)
@@Abel-Alvarez yes ! Especially in Northwest Arkansas like in the cities Springdale, Fayetteville, Rogers . There is also a big Latino community in the neighboring towns of Eureka Springs like Berryville and Green Forest ☺️
@@DianaRamirez-Imecs Thank you so much. I plan to visit those locations when i get the chance since I've heard good things about the Northwest Arkansas.
@@Abel-Alvarez Hope you have fun !!! Definitely check out Crystal Bridges your whole family will enjoy it ☺️
I love Arkansas! It is a great state to visit. Love the Ozark mountains.

The racism on arkansas
@@eihcirramonebeldia7313 And the racist that point to a few bad apples that are in every town at any state trying to make people feel bad. Usually fails though except for the guilty and the weak.
Love the town of Eureka Springs. The town has an abundant amount of Victoria houses. They are also known for their Passion Play (weather permitting).
Weekend ... time to watch a lot of videos of my favorite traveling couple. Yep... a new one!!!
Eureka Springs is now on my “gotta visit” list. Thanks for the introduction! Enjoy your time in Austin. 😊
Checkout the lookout lodge in eureka springs if you do go
That certain hotel though
I live in Arkansas and I honestly love it here. There are so many places that are beautiful. I went to eureka springs last year and it was amazing.
Arkansas (The Natural State) is so beautiful! You guys always find the coolest spots no matter where you're traveling:)
Avoid Eastern Arkansas like the Great Plague!
Only thing natural about Arkansas is the meth, I live here, it’s in every county
I live in Arkansas and our favorite place is eureka springs! So many great memories for us us there. We love it!! The thorn crown chapel is amazing.
I live in Little Rock, Arkansas and have been everywhere as a truck driver. Tried moving to Miami, LA and other places but I always end up back in Arkansas by choice. Its a beautiful state and easy to navigate. Lots of beautiful places. Eureka Sorings is very beautiful. However, you must see Petit Jean Mountain in Arkansas. Very amazing trails, overlooks and everything. And you can drive to the top haha. You will love it
We were just in eureka springs and we loved it so much! We stayed at the crescent hotel for 4 days. The whole town is so cute!
We're definitely adding it to our list after seeing this vlog!
How is the Crescent? Staying there in July.
What a cute, little town! I can see it would make for a fun weekend getaway. If you're looking for other quaint places to check out, look to Hannibal, MO!
If you come to Hot Springs or Little Rock I'd love to meet you guys. There's another one of those churches in Hot Springs.
I was just about to comment this! My family has a lake house on Lake Hamilton outside of Hot Springs, so we go to Garvan Gardens a lot! My in laws live in Little Rock and Conway. We love Arkansas!
@@jordanmullaney9263 cool, I'm near Benton, my parents are near Hot Springs.
The Anthony chapel in garvan woodland gardens. I love going in late spring when the hydrangea are in full bloom. My ex husband used to park our boat at the docks and we’d stroll through often.
Hey kids - we're fairly new to your channel (the you tubes suggested your packing video to me whilst in the tiny house and now we're hooked!) but have spent the last few months watching from the beginning. We so appreciate your positivity and sense of humor and affinity for the same tv shows we love! What We Do In The Shadows? YES.
Great! You guys have just brighten up my saturday...
They made our saterday too :) Just a joy to watch
I can think of a bigger reason why your Saturday brightened.
I love the RV videos but I've missed the travel vlogs!
Really enjoyed this. I think the rain probably helped as I could see this town being overrun with tourists. I found it funny that you where talking about Eureka in a tub. Archimedes was in a tub in ancient Greece when he shouted it and then he ran down the street naked. You lovely people were more dignified :)
It isn't overrun by tourists
It's a lovely historic town and visiting the historic hotel, The Crescent, is a must!
That chapel is AMAZING
Right? So pretty!

Thank you for showing Arkansas, Growing up we always drove an hour to Eureka Springs as a mini day vacation. Its a beautiful area. War eagle mill is so close to there and has an amazing history. The basin hotel has amazing food especially bbq, my favorite place on hot days to sit and eat.
If you travelled the backroads of america in your RV and posted videos from all these quaint little places, I’d watch every one of them ❤️
Moving to NW Arkansas soon! Thanks for showing such a cute town, can’t wait to go there myself!
It's a very unique and fun little town.
I just moved to Arkansas from texas 6 months ago and I love euraka springs.
Eureka Springs is tons o’ fun! I had some kin get married in that chapel, beautiful any time of day!
I’m from Eureka Springs and I’m glad to see this
I’m so glad you guys are back on the road, and I’m excited to go along with you. The blue water spring was absolutely beautiful! That colour alone 🥰 and the chapel stole my heart with the architecture, it’s a beautiful place overall!
It looks like you both are having the time of your lives and so are we that watch your video's. Thanks for sharing your life and times with those that are your fans. Outstanding job. Well done.
The wife and I will be there for the Thanksgiving weekend. We love it there. We're from Little Rock.
LOVE Eureka Springs! Parents used to live close and we would always stop in.
Same! We lived close growing up and would visit and play for the day.
Oh wow! That huckleberry fried pie and ice cream! It’s late and time to hit the sack but now I’m hungry. For those who don’t know, for the last 29 years there is an annual Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend in October. It was canceled this year but scheduled again for Oct 2021. Corvette enthusiasts (all year models) come from all over the US. Hundreds of Corvettes show up.

What a Jem! We love going here! Beaver lake! Yeah! Am from Detroit. NOW 50 miles from Springfield Missouri great city! Love The Ozarks Missouri Arkansas.
Definitely going to be living through you guys the next few months to keep me sane. We are in another lockdown here in the UK 😢 Keep the videos coming! ♥️
so sorry about the lock down
At least you are consistently grumpy about rainy weather through the years. I love the rain! And look at the benefits it brought you this trip, no tourists at attractions you wanted to film at! Excited y'all are out and about again.
I've been to Eureka Springs a few times . It is a lot of fun. I love their Christmas stuff.
I’ve lived here for over thirty years. Travelled around a lot of the USA but Eureka is the best. I can kayak in five or six great places less than 20 minutes from town, hiking trails all over town and in state and federal parks that surround the area. Dozens of restaurants, shops, pubs I can walk to from my cottage. A huge city park with biking trails just outside of town. The entire downtown is a historic district, safe and lovely to stroll around.
Well if you’re going to Austin hopefully we will get some new pointers on where to eat as we’re here for another month!
Keep smashing them travels!
Y’all need to see mammoth springs and Blanchard caverns.
I went to eureka springs when I was 10, so 30 years ago. It looks exactly like I remember it!
In Alaska we call huckleberry, low blueberries. I think they are just about the same
Yay, so happy for another video. I really love the style of your videos. 😊💕
Just had the opportunity to visit Eureka Springs, AR in October - Beautiful - loved it - great shopping. Had to test out the local yarn store--a yarn lover's paradise!!
Visited here in the 90’s with my mom! Lovely city great video thanks for the memories! ❤️~Cara
I really enjoyed this vlog. I'm watching your vlogs from the beginning and I like all of them. All the best.
When we were there it rained as well. We had a blast. It's so relaxing there.
Arkansas is super underrated.
Wherever in the world you see a folded pastry, you would also have found Cornish miners who spread their expertise and Cornish Pasties around the world. The empanada is thought to be such a case. Many Cornish miners moved to Arkansas, and Michigan also has and empanada-like pastry.
👍

You two are absolutely adorable. As an Arkansas transplant, thank you for the compliments about this gorgeous state.
We spend weekends in Eureka as we have a vacation home on Beaver lake on the Eureka side. Eureka is a really neat little town! Not exactly the most kid friendly (culturally off the rails) but we make it work. Some of the best places to eat: Grand Tavern (1st IMO), Local Flavor and the Grotto. I also think it's worth leaving downtown by a couple of miles to dine at one of the best kept secrets, Cottage Inn. A couple of miles further and the best brunch in town is at Bombadils.
There's a VERY historic and amazingly beautiful Catholic Church in the middle of downtown Eureka Springs that's also worth a visit. St. Elizabeth of Hungary. www.stelizabethar.org/ This exact church is a replica of her sister church in Hungary, hence the name. A magical church for sure.
And if you make the trip to Eureka from out of state, you should definitely book a stay on Beaver Lake, rent a boat and enjoy one of the nation's most beautiful bodies of water! Beaver is a massive lake and you can literally find a quiet cove for water sports or to just "float and bloat" all day. Also, during the spring, if there's been some rain, Hogscald hollow is literally littered with waterfalls, many of them truly epic!
Eureka Springs is way cool! It's charming, quirky, and has some great restaurants. Loved Sparky's Ultra Lounge!!! The E&S Railroad Train ride for lunch is a must, delicious food, and great value!
So appreciative for your brightness and enthusiasm !
The blue springs looked A-mazing!!! As did that fantastic breakfast! Happy to see my favorite couple today! Have fun and stay safe... love y'all💕
This is my 2nd go around of watching from the beginning n seeing a new one out. Best youtubers ever
What a neat little town that's soaking wet! And the foodporn is just wow!
Love your vlogs. Keep em coming ♥️💪🏾

Sorry its raining but I love the Strawberry umbrella.🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓👍😊
I had to do a double take to make sure that the title actually said Arkansas and I wasn’t kidding myself
Why? What are you getting at?
@@keithdavis4626 So many people diss Arkansas so either they are a native shocked to see someone highlighting the good or they are someone who has only heard the negative until seeing this. I would assume that is what they mean anyway
@@anastasiarauch4140 I seriously doubt your assumption, just a disrespect of my state
@@keithdavis4626 I'm also from Arkansas and have lived here my whole life. I'm really sick of all the crap thrown at our state. I'm glad these people got to experience a sliver of the beauty here. It's really annoying being told we are inbred, stupid, etc so I can agree with you there. And you may be right but we don't know for sure. I may have read it different than you and that's okay.
I’m glad that you guys are going out and exploring 💜 I miss traveling so much!
