Hey ! To begin with, thanks a lot for your videos, they provide a very good and deep insight of what these expansions looks like. you convinced me to buy this one and the BFD Crush one. I really like the AMX Snare Open High Tuned too.
With this expansion, I used The Grestch snare for my second album band, Abduction "A l'Heure Du Crépuscule" (you can check it out if you want, I won't post any link, that's not my point here).
I have a question for you if I may :
The Gretsch snare is a Medium Tuning, i'd like to know If there is a way to know and to do a proper High tuning on this snare using the semi-tones management and what is the propre number to enter to have a nice High Tuned snare. I tried to do it on ears and with some help with videos from Gretsch Bell Brass snare video demos on youtube, but I can't find the right tuning. The ring is very quiet and not as expressive as the JJ snare, which is nearly the same as the AMX open high snare by the way. So it's quite difficult to have a good appreciation of the tone...
"1.00" semitones seems to be too much, maybe around "0.5" or something, I don't know.
So please, help me on this one, I am just a random drummer who is wandering in the processing stuff of BFD3, managing EQs and so on with no real mastering and discipline but It's ok, I am satisfied with what I have until my sound engineer takes over the drum mix.
thanks a lot and keep the good work, your videos are so useful.
    Cheers from France !

I don't know the exact number, snares can have different tones and tunings and be considered "proper". If there is a specific tone you want and can't get it by ear, use a frequency analyzer and see where the fundamental is and adjust the BFD drum to give you a similar fundamental.

@@BenoniStudio Thanks a lot ! I just want my gretsch to be tuned like the AMX high open or the JJ, close enough. The "normal" tuning is too medium for me, I prefer my snare to be high and tigh. Thanks for your response !

I looked at it and to me the tuning sounds similar at around + .70 - .84

Hey, great video. Quick question please, is it possible to control the reverb in the reverb channels that comes with this expansion? I mean, its just a matter of reducing or increasing the volume of the reverb channel, or you can somehow control the decay, attack or room shape for instance? Thanks.

You can adjust the level of the reverb. You can't change the type of reverb since it is recorded samples. If you want to do that, turn down the reverb channels and add a Reverb effect to the snare send and dial it in as you want.
