Update: I don’t LOVE the Urban Decay concealer as much as I hoped. After further use, it sets a little too much for me when I’m doing my makeup. I can totally see why it’s popular though! It looked like airbrush makeup!
Is it setting too quickly? I hate that!! Especially before you have an opportunity to put on setting powder. That's why I'm in love with Tarte's Shape Tape; I can put this on I can put this on for literally 10 - 15 minutes before it starts to crease before powder.
Urban Decay also has a great concealer called Naked Skin, which is a lot lighter feeling, much more natural! The blurring effect is still amazing! Give it a try! It's probably a closer comparison to the Nars one 😊
Can u test pore filling primers? Can u test BB Creams? Can u test Liquid Lipstick? Maybe u can do a “Test 5 ......” Makeup Series but with a longer wear time for each product?
I have pore problems, and I’ve tried just about ALL of them. The BEST one, in my opinion, is Milk Makeup Blur Stick. You’ll be amazed. It blows Smashbox and Porefessional out of the water. Get the small size and try it, I think it’s like $12 or $14. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I’m a lipstick HOARDER, I probably have 150, so if you have questions on that, just let me know haha. Hope that helps 😊😊😊
As someone who has watched you tube beauty videos for longer then I care to admit...i must say I have binge watched your channel just now and am SUPER IMPRESSED. I don't know how you don't have millions of followers...yet! Before knowing your background I could immediately tell you had a more legitimate claim to skincare then what meets the eye. Your reviews are eye opening, much needed, and VERY appropriately timed. My new favorite channel for sure!
Really wish you would have included an actual wear test on all the concealers you tried today and not just a first impression style, but I did appreciate the Urban Decay update. 😊
Ya I agree. Bc concealer wears down and off really quickly on me. And I swear, if I set it with powder, even a TINY bit, it gets all creased and gross. Am I the only one?
Jette Lykke Jensen I’ve been using Cover FX Power Play concealer now for a couple of months, and have had pretty great luck with it. I’ll be 44 in about a week, and have pretty dry skin. It’s got good coverage, is hydrating, and really brightens. The applicator is too big, in my opinion, so it gets a tad messy. But I can overlook that for the performance of it. I’ve managed to find a couple decent powders that don’t look like powder, finally. The Flower Beauty Luminous Setting Powder, under $10, and the Crystal Rays Luminous Finishing Powder, also under $10. Both have a very slight, almost undetectable sheen to them. But if you apply with a light hand, they set your makeup without making the wrinkles appear crepey, like every other Powder I’ve used, and that’s a LONG list, including the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder, which I do love for some parts of the face. But I’m so dry, I’ll often skip powder completely. Hope that helps. I also have a couple of IT Cosmetics concealer brushes that make it pretty painless to blend the product, that helps. If you take good care of your brushes they’ll last 15 years 😊😊
Susan I’m always coming back to your videos when trying to learn or remember what to do for my skincare. You always mention how you are “older” or have “mature” skin and I think it’s so funny because you don’t look like it at all! You look like your early 20s. I always love your simple, bright, and healthy makeup looks. My favorite thing about you is your SMILE. It’s so beautiful and when you smile with your teeth you instantly look 20 years old. Please smile more !! ❤️😊 thank you for sharing all your knowledge with us who learn so much from you.
I liked the Laura mercier and shape tape the best on you! I know you are looking for feedback on your videos. I don’t love the music playing in the background the whole time. It’s okay when you are applying the product but a bit distracting when you are talking. Great video!
Would really love to see this type of review from Susan but to also see them on someone with dark under eyes. Susan’s undereyes are flawless so it’s really hard for me to take anything from this.
I honestly think they all looked better on you than the Nars, except the Shape Tape. But I agree with your update - the UD is drying. I can only use it in summer on my t-zone, and I have dry skin. 😊 I LOVE the Laura Mercier one, and I also love the new Cover Fx one. They just look sooooo good!
I am the person that has to always spend more due my acne scarring. It's been hard on me. I was wondering if you could do a video for pore fillers, maybe your opinion about dermabrasion, any suggestions? ✌🏼💖 Your makeup is beautiful. I'm very happy you list everything in the description. Perfect 👍🏼💄
Fenty Fenty Fenty All the way that is my favorite concealer. I’ve use the Nars before and I loved it but I would definitely say Fenty gives them a run for the money because being a black woman shade range is important to me and Fenty gets my skin color just as much as NARS does.
This was so good! I've been watching beauty videos for 5 yrs and I can't remember even one time that someone tried out multiple concealers on camera like this. It was so helpful! Ill have to try a few of those, and I'm normally not adventurous when it comes to concealer. (I currently use maybelline age rewind and the Nars creamy concealer. My nars is my lightest so I use that when I don't have a s much self tanner on and it's great.)
Seriously, you need to try the new mac 24hr concealer! it's so creamy and I have a lot of crow's feet and under eye bags and it's so creamy yet doesn't settle into my fine lines! Gotta try that one, it's like spanx for my under eye area.
I love all the experience and knowledge you bring to the table that most youtube influencers don't. I want to learn more about skin care ingredients that are important. Pink background looks good. Maybe look into updating your intro(graphics) and involve your audience through a giveaway, a feature/shoutout or something!
Yeah, honestly I hate the Nars concealer lol. It was light coverage for me at best. Did next to nothing on my dark circles. If you’re truly looking for Med-full coverage, try any other product…
If you dot the inner and outer corner instead of doing a v line or too many dots you may get a better application. Robert Welch does that and it’s a good technique instead of dragging under your eye and into the creases.
I’ve already tried 2 of these, and want SOOO bad to add the other two to my Sephora bag, but I LITERALLY have 20 different concealers in my drawer, none even half empty. Arghhh. The Joeu (sp?) was, in my opinion, the prettiest one on you. I think it looked much better than the NARS, not that you need my approval lol. You’re STUNNING lady 💜💜💜 Between all of these, which would be better for someone almost 44, light wrinkling, dry skin, and anytime I go anywhere near concealer with setting powder, it looks HORRIBLE, would be best for? Anyone?
Even I have fine lines as my major concern, would suggest you trying nars concealer, which comes in a pot. Use it with a fluffy brush. Never highlighted my fine lines and once set it won't budge. But that's my opinion
I really dislike the NARS concealer. It did not blend easily, it was patchy and there was nothing radiant at all about it. I Love shape tape and jouer for full coverage. The Laura Mercier is awesome for a medium coverage radiant look. Maybeline fit me and age rewind is my fav drug store concealer!
My question is what about for women in their 40s? Are use Nars concealer and I love it. I also use tarte shape tape and I hate it I feel like it literally sinks into my wrinkles.I have tried so many concealers I feel like at some point when you start hitting the age of 40 what concealers do you really use that? I have tried so many concealers I feel like at some point when you start hitting the age of 40what concealers do you really use that really work
Amy Prijatel I’m in my 30s and I always look for something with a thinner consistency. The Tarte shape tape does not appeal to me. L’Oréal True Match concealer is my favorite. I tried the NARS and Bare Minerals ones, and they were good. But I always go back to L’Oréal.
Amy Prijatel if you like a similar coverage to the shape tape but less drying would be the toofaced born this way sculpting concealer , it is very comparable to the nars concealer
Try the garnier skinactive under Eye concealer. It's a little tube which has roller metal ballpoint for massaging the undereyes supposedly. Not full coverage' not a lot of shades' but it's very hydrating. And cheap! It's just for reducing dark circles and it even worked on my 60 year old mom so that's something
The non Nars side of your face seemed brighter because you blended the concealer down to your cheek contour and it made it slightly unbalanced. Think all the concealers seem fab. I’d have them all!!
i lowkey don't love the nars concealer that much. my favorite ever is probably the flower beauty light illusion concealer; it's super easy to blend, has the most natural and pretty finish, and has a surprising amount of coverage.
I loved this video! You never get to see them side by side. Or at least a variety side by side. You should do a Foundation side by side next!!!!! Edit: I see someone said BB creams... Yes please!
I think Shape Tape is good if you're going for a full glam look. It'll last all night, no creasing if you set it well. It might be to drying for dry skin. I have oily skin and I enjoy using Shape Tape. I wouldn't use it for everyday/light natural makeup. Hope this helps
I really liked this video...good job! It was very helpful because I haven’t found MY concealer yet, so this helps me focus on some that I haven’t tried. Thanks Susan, Angie💕
Thanks for doing these reviews, Susan. I’m about to turn 35 and can’t seem to find any concealers that don’t highlight the wrinkles, lines, and imperfections on my face. I’ll check these out!
Practicality. She’s trying on 4 concealers and she’s on set. It would be harsher on her skin to do double cleansing x4 each time, isn’t it? She has said cleansing wipes are okay as long as you choose a non-harsh one and go gently around the eye area.
Hi great video, but what do you think of the Armani Power Fabric concealer? Could you try that out and let us know what you think. Thanks and have a great day.
I personally don’t like urban decay for under my eyes. It’s a little too drying and settles into creases after a while. I do love it for stubborn blemishes! It’s heavy duty and will stay where it dries. Fair warning that it will oxidize a bit.
I have dry skin, and this looks the most natural and easiest to blend since I only give myself two minutes to do my makeup everyday. I’ve tried almost popular concealers and nars never disappoints and isn’t too liquidy
You don’t have dark circles under your eyes, so this really isn’t a good comparison for those who actually battle under eye circles. As others have mentioned, I would want to know the results after an entire day of wear. I am not sold on skin care benefits of concealers. It is going on after skin creams, sunscreen, and foundation. Are the so called beneficial ingredients even reaching the skin? I didn’t see much of a difference in the concealers on your video? It sort of seems as if you use a filter. I may agree with another poster that they all look better than the Nars. The other under eye area seems a bit brighter directly under the lashes. Maybe the Nars wasn’t taken up so close to the lashes? I have tried the Tarte Shape Tape concealer and am pretty happy with it. I haven’t tried many others.
I have tried most of the concealers on this video (have not tried the Jouer and Laura), but out of the other ones the Urban Decay one is the worst. It is so drying and it cracks over time. For people with dry skin is an absolute NO!
Update: I don’t LOVE the Urban Decay concealer as much as I hoped. After further use, it sets a little too much for me when I’m doing my makeup. I can totally see why it’s popular though! It looked like airbrush makeup!
Susan Yara can you please do an update for this video. I’d love to know what your favorite is after a few more tries.
Is it setting too quickly? I hate that!! Especially before you have an opportunity to put on setting powder. That's why I'm in love with Tarte's Shape Tape; I can put this on I can put this on for literally 10 - 15 minutes before it starts to crease before powder.

Give it a try! It's probably a closer comparison to the Nars one 😊
So what would be your new winner?
Hey! I wish you’d included the born this way multi use concealer as well. I guess it’s similar to NARS in consistency.
I like Nars. It’s the most natural looking of all of them.
Cinderfire agreed!
Always loved Nars but Jouer is a very very close 2nd. Love them both so much
I second that
It gets cakey on me 😔

Upside down triangle 🤯, thank you!
Hi!! The jouer concealer looked more smooth under the eye. And also gave it a plumping effect. It just looked better for you.
Loved this review! More please. ⭐️
I love this comparison! Thank you so much
Enjoyed this comparison video. Very informative
I love the brown liner
Can you please also review other clean products like RMS, Ilia, Juice Beauty, 100% pure etc?
Did she say she was removing them with wipes?? What? 😂 someone explain because I thought she DESPISED makeup wipes
I am confused too!!
I think I remember her saying that she hates them but in the studio there’s really no easier way to remove makeup but she’d never use them at home.

If you use the very tip of the applicator not as much will come off.
I was thinking the same thing!
Seems like common sense, but I guess that’s rare these days, hahaha. Like, DUH. 😂😂
Can you test primers? I’m having a hard time finding one I love and I’m too poor to buy a bunch of different ones and test them out myself 😂
If you have Ulta Beaty you can buy products and return after 90 days with the receipt and used!
What kind of primer are you looking for? I think I have tried pretty much every single one out there lol
Love this comparison!!!

I miss videos with both Susan and Sharzad, I thought they complimented each other a lot
Sharzad is so annoying... loving Susan without.
So good! And brilliant to read your update. Thanks!
Also, how did each of these fare over the course of a day? I feel like that's the big issue for me bc I just don't have time to redo concealer.
Great info!!! Thank you!! Is there a concealer you would recommend for use in the summer and being in the water? ;)
How many people have tried nars radiant concealer with dry skin, and liked it or hated it? I’m curious if I should even bother purchasing it. ?
I have dry skin, and this looks the most natural and easiest to blend since I only give myself two minutes to do my makeup everyday. I’ve tried almost popular concealers and nars never disappoints and isn’t too liquidy

Thanks for the video those two where my choice too

can you try a month of the ordinary skin care line???
Could you try the Naked Skin concealer from Urban Decay? Thank you!

Clara Anastasia Combination!
I like this video u review top selling concelar and please make video on foundation too Thanks
I think the one from Laura Mercier looked the best on you.
I gotta say tho, you don't even need concealer :)
Tarts shape Tape is amazing!
My fave one is definitely LA girl :)
The others look so much better than the Nars one
Do more videos like this please!
It’s weird how having to use two layers with NARS is the starting point for the other concealers. Isn’t that a flaw of the NARS one?
Loved this type of video, more please!
I use the tare shape tape and I love it!❤️
Cant wait to try jouer's!!! Susan do u have any fillers or botox under your eyes because that isnt as helpful if you dont disclose this. Thank u!

You actually look more tired on the side with the Nars compared to the others. You look more AWAKE and younger with all the others
I completely agree! I thought the side with the nars you could see her wrinkle under the eye versus without the concealer you cant.
I have tried most of the concealers on this video (have not tried the Jouer and Laura), but out of the other ones the Urban Decay one is the worst. It is so drying and it cracks over time. For people with dry skin is an absolute NO!
revolution and the saem next time maybe?
The saem best for spot concealing. Would not recommend it under the eyes tho coz its too matte
You should compare amount of product and not just price, the jouer is cheaper but it is much smaller.
