@@domesticatedwolverine4152 Nope. I would recommend you flash your ECU though because the stock fueling is very lean and has restrictions in the first 3 gears.

ALL recording devices have an automatic notice canceling feature that shuts down the noise if the noise is more than the recording device can handle. If you want to show what it sounds like, stand back 20 feet. It will be more accurate to what it sounds like. No one rides behind you with their ear stuck to your exhaust pipe anyway. Thx tho. Ftom what I could tell it sounded pretty good.
I have since removed the stock can completely. Built a free flow with 2 cans in series. Bought off Ebay for under $130. Stainless. Now sounds like a 1200 thumper. Not overly loud... But great sound when you open up.

Getting rid of the catalyst in the header improves the sound and adds about 7hp according to a dyno run I did.
Removing the cat will throw a check engine light or cause the engine to run rich

I have a decat set of arrow pipes on my stock tuned gen1. No engine light or other problems

how important is crimping the tip I have removed the basket mesh & has little more rumble , what did you flare the tip with?
