Nice truck, Just my opinion bro, don't do the headlight swap. Just keep them 99-03 stock, the retro headlights and orange turn signals look SOOO GOOD! especially on the black. When people try to update these older trucks too much, they start looking worse in my opinion. I wouldn't lift it anymore than it is, its perfect height and practical. Airbags are a plus! I'd find some Superduty 17+ wheel/tire takeoffs that are 18" or 20" with 35's rubber. You'll need wheel spacers to run them, but they look super good on these older trucks if done correctly. Also, I hate those bubbly fender flares as well, so glad you took those off. That said, having no flares at all leaves the paint vulnerable in your fender. The rocks, dirt and snow that flicks up onto the paint will chip it off and start to rust very quickly especially in the NE. Get the basic black plastic stock style fender flares just for paint protection. I did these as well as some modest mudflaps and it has helped keep everything looking crisp. I installed some of those go-rhino running boards on my 01 as well and I love them. The running boards do help protect the paint on the bottom of your doors as well. I think the King Ranch brown leather seats would look good in there, brown/grey/black goes well together. BMW does it alot. Black or Grey Leather would also look great. Another nice thing about upgrading the seats is a proper headrest in the back seat. Those old seats are terrible for back seat comfort if you are older than 10 since your head hits the glass if you lay your head back. Good luck with the mods.
I bought my second 6.0. It’s a 2006 F-350 with 60,000 miles. Lariat trim just like yours and I absolutely love it. Now obviously I completely built the engine because, 6.0 problems. I installed 20” platinum wheels on mine with 35” nittos and it looks amazing. Couldn’t ask for a better set up.
Wow. Absolutely mint! That was and will be a well cared and maintained truck. I also had an OBS 7.3 and now a 2002. The super duty 7.3s are a big improvement. Those Lariat seats are in such great condition I would keep the interior as original as possible. Your fleet is superb! Love the sleeper estate AMG. You probably know but these trucks leak and common spots are the fuel lines around the valley, the turbo pedestal o rings, the hpop o rings, the power steering line to the resevior, and the fuel bowl. Fix it Nick, powerstrokehelp, and thoroughbred diesel have some great how to diy videos that helped me with maintenance and repairs.
Great find with your truck. You will def need to find some way to protect it from rusting, the Mid-Atlantic is unforgiving with road salt during the winters, I know this for a fact. I can see you are a car guy with that E63 AMG Combi, great car.
So similar in situation, just bought my first 7.3 about a month ago. 02 F350 lariat crew cab long bed black, the same things you took off and have changed i did as well. 130k miles for me and i thought i did well lol under 100k is amazing! Subbing so i can see this beauty evolve.... nice work!
@@kysmith011 thanks man congrats on the truck! Just got the new headed panel and Harley Davidson headlights in. Paint for grille and bumpers tmrw. Will have an update vid here shortly before wheels and tires!
I just picked up a super cab version black 02 with 154k miles. Not quite this nice, but it's not too far off. Small cosmetic issues. Only rust is on bed underside. Not anything on chassis. Love these trucks.
I’m a fan, love the truck and E46. Quick question, did you go out to see the truck in person or use an independent mechanic? Also, what was ballpark figure to ship it? I’m on the east coast as well and looking at 7.3’s in the west. Looking forward to the mods you do on the truck!
@fragglerock170685 I used lemonsquad for a third party inspection. It’s a little pricey but worth it imo if you aren’t going out there yourself. For shipping from Salt Lake City to PA was about $2k. I really wanted to fly in and drive home but figured I’d save the miles from the truck…lmk if you find anything!
Definitely looks like it has a fromt end leveling lift kit cuz its sitting high in front they come stock with the rear spacer block.. depends on the way you backspace the rims for 37" on 20's u might need a 6" lift if u dont want any tire rub when u crank the wheel all the way 1 way or the other during articulation when offroadif i did 37"s on 4" I'd run 18" rim for lil more sidewall on tires for a better ride comfort and clearance without trimming or if u need 20" go 35" so u can do a taller sidewall for comfort and better offroad performance from tire flex after u air down
@@mikemccabe7124 thanks for the feedback - much appreciated. Think Iv pretty much decided on leaving the suspension as is for now and going with 35s on 18s. Either ridge or recon grapplers. Since it’s already got the stance I want this feels like the smart compromise
No I did not. I only lifted it. Pretty much stock when I sold it. I got rid of it with 45,000 due to the injectors going bad twice in 30 days. Loved the truck other than that.

If you pull your seats I’m definitely interested in them.
I’d be extremely stunned if those fender flare scratches buff out, clean truck tho
@@nick7.398 the front ones buffed out pretty decent. Haven’t done the rears yet so we shall see.

Very Nice looking truck! Please make plenty of videos of this F350. I’m hoping to get one of these one day.
What ever you decide, do not remove your rear air bags! They allow to to haul/tow more weight without the rear sagging 😀👍

totally agree - she will be tucked away for the winter, that's for sure.
Definitely get a Mishimoto trans cooler if you plan on towing.
Just get a take off from a 6.0 and save yourself $400
