That is a beautiful truck, I really can appreciate the design style you went with. Nothing is over the top just looks clean and high end! I recently bought a 2001 F-350 crew cab long box 7.3L. I thought mine had low miles with 107k on it but man 75k that’s unbelievable. My question for you is did you find out if the truck was leveled when you bought it or did you lift it higher after you bought it? I love the look of your 35’s not to much space in the wheel wells. My truck is bone stock and has quite a bit of rake to it. Thank you

When I was looking for my 7.3 all I could find were lariats Overpaid for mine. $25,500 out the door.

I checked out your most recent video and truck looks great overall. Did you fly to Utah or take a look in person before the purchase? I do wonder why the transmission was overhauled around 50k miles. My 2002 7.3 Crew, LB, Dually Lariat SE, i am original owner and has 236K on it. I tow 10-16K with it all the time and my transmission is still very strong. In your most recent video you had talked about a skip, when you start up but gives trouble when cold. I would like to see a video upload of your engine bay. Take the oil cap off, with your truck running, place the cap upside down on the top, i want to see if you have any blowback, you might have compression issues. Also curious why you would need fuel injectors with only 75K? Anyways If you don't have any compression issues and it is a simple fix and you want some good upgrades, i would replace the following. HPOP, Fuel Injectors to 1.5 (DO NOT GO HIGHER) Stage 2 Turbo, Cold Air, Turbo Back Exhaust (NO MUFFLER, Puts too much pressure on the Turbo), Intercooler and Radiator, Optima Batteries, and of course a PHP -Hydra Chip, and a steering stabilizer would help to prevent death wobble, but first find out about the skip, you might have bigger problems. It would be a good idea to find a fuel additive and one that is reputable. Either one that asks for every fuel up or every other, etc. To add on the Transmission, The stock 4R100 is a solid and i mean solid transmission and usually only ever has problems when you have a heat issue. Either the person before you added a chip and that chip caused excessive heat due to not upgrading the other parts or was just a ***hole driver and beat on that poor truck, no problems should arise to cause a tranny rebuild with such low miles. Check your transmission cooler and maybe think about a better one, but when you replace the intercooler and radiator you can do that. My advice keep the truck stock both inside and out. Buy a newer Ford if you want to do those goofy upgrades and if you want the 7.3, then do an engine swap to the newer ford, but if you get into something like that, then it would be better to find a first or second gen, Cummins and swap that engine to a Ford body. Those goofy upgrades mean nothing if the engine doesn't run. Make it a sleeper.

Were did you get your headlights and do they work will stock suck

Best sounding diesel engine ever made. Sounds great at idle. Sounds even better accelerating.

Some words of advice. I have a 02 with 303,000 miles, and I went to start it up, and I broke a conecting rod just cranking it over. Powder metal rods are junk. I would take that boat anchor out and either put a 99 powerstroke in it or a 12v cummins

Do the drop down steps, since you are going to lift it they look way better and function way better. Carli suspensions are the best out there. 37’s are good but you are getting close to needing to regear. If you are going to tow with it then regearing would be high on my list.

Update your front suspension. I have a full traction coil over conversion. Makes your truck ride like the new trucks 2002 f350 lariat long bed. Only 82k. BTW what is the model number of the running boards. They look tucked in. Pretty cool.

Dont rush into injectors. A common problem is the UVCH. Under valve cover harness. Which controls your glow plugs and injectors. The pins in the harness melt, short, and sometimes open, causing a miss, hard starting, irregular idle. Easily tested with a volt/ohm meter. With 75k, you most likely dont have an injector issue but you can do a buzz test on our injectors with forscan. Good luck

She's a beauty. Usually, the bigger the tires and the taller you make them, the worse they ride and handle. When you're young, its all fun and games. Ride quality isn't a concern. But as you get older, lifted trucks beat the crap out of you and aren't much fun to drive. So the question is, how much will you be driving this truck, and what will you be using it for? Cruising, towing, playing, working? With all the other options you have for vehicles to drive, seems like you're building this one for looks and fun, so would you be happy with anything less than 37's? If you do go with 37's, eventually you will want a red head steering gear. And XRF makes high-quality ball joints with a million mile warranty. I'm an original owner and ordered my 97 f250hd 7.3 4x4 supercab new. 258,000 miles. My son has an 01 f250 7.3 4x4 supercab 175k. Imo these are the best trucks ford ever made. They call the 7.3 the million mile motor. Keep a cam position sensor in your glove box with the (i think 10mm) wrench to change it. You will thank me from the side of the road one day. Also, keep an injection pressure sensor on hand. Eventually, you will need body bushings. Imo S&B makes an awesome complete kit for these trucks. If you decide on cleaning up the frame and painting it. Dont use por15. Use mastercoat. They use it on bridges and train cars. Its impervious to all automotive fluids and road chemicals, including brake fluid and acetone. On RUclips, see "repair geeks" video called friends don't let friends use por15. If not, you can undercoat and protect everything underneath with surface shield, woolwax, or fluid film. Also, the best batteries ive found for these 7.3's are the odyssey extreme batteries. 950cca. Twice as much $ but they will give you at least 10 strong years of service. Also, dont overlook old battery cables. Especially the grounds. Custom battery cables.com sells a great replacement set. There is also a better than ford oem replacement glow plug relay available. I forget the name because its still works 15 years later, but you can find it on the forums. Doesn't look like you need new brake lines, but if you or someone else does, inline tube.com sells stainless and oem pre-bent kits that are great. Perfect fit. I mentioned this stuff because I have used these on our trucks, and everything has held up well, fit well and are quality products. Ive never used one, but friends say the hydra chip is great. Also you can download the forscan app to a computer, laptop, tablet, or phone along with a Bluetooth or hardwired adapter to read codes, diagnostics, and buzz injectors. Its much better than all cheap code readers and better than most mid range code readers. Good luck with the new rig and welcome to the 7.3 powerstroke family. ✌️

Grey interior ftw. Keep it. Those wheels are from an 05 and newer, which means it has adapters on and they are not safe. Order the proper wheels for the truck. No adapters! I'd keep 16 inch rims and you can put 35's on it without messing with the suspension. You'll like the newer headlights. If you keep the engine stock, she'll run forever. I had my 7.3 making over 500 hp and then started breaking things. The transmission is the weak link on these trucks. I eventually converted mine to a zf6 and then she was bulletproof. Congrats on the truck!

Whats with all the hoop-la in installing the '17-up mirrors? They ARE smaller in glass area than the '08-'16 mirrors that everyone was installing a few years back. (I bought a set of OEM NEW TRUCK take-offs back then for little more than a cheap set of aftermarkets)

Nice truck, Just my opinion bro, don't do the headlight swap. Just keep them 99-03 stock, the retro headlights and orange turn signals look SOOO GOOD! especially on the black. When people try to update these older trucks too much, they start looking worse in my opinion. I wouldn't lift it anymore than it is, its perfect height and practical. Airbags are a plus! I'd find some Superduty 17+ wheel/tire takeoffs that are 18" or 20" with 35's rubber. You'll need wheel spacers to run them, but they look super good on these older trucks if done correctly. Also, I hate those bubbly fender flares as well, so glad you took those off. That said, having no flares at all leaves the paint vulnerable in your fender. The rocks, dirt and snow that flicks up onto the paint will chip it off and start to rust very quickly especially in the NE. Get the basic black plastic stock style fender flares just for paint protection. I did these as well as some modest mudflaps and it has helped keep everything looking crisp. I installed some of those go-rhino running boards on my 01 as well and I love them. The running boards do help protect the paint on the bottom of your doors as well. I think the King Ranch brown leather seats would look good in there, brown/grey/black goes well together. BMW does it alot. Black or Grey Leather would also look great. Another nice thing about upgrading the seats is a proper headrest in the back seat. Those old seats are terrible for back seat comfort if you are older than 10 since your head hits the glass if you lay your head back. Good luck with the mods.

Wow. Amazing. Your exterior looks remarkable here and those badges tie it all together...great eye for detail. My comments here are mostly about this gorgeous interior. Please don't touch/change the interior bc that Lariat interior looks .... spectacular! The tannery Ford was using back then when a Lariat was top of the line (pre-King Ranch) was producing much softer more supple higher quality leather than that stiff not soft not supple King Ranch crap. Do you know how hard it is to find a 7.3 with miles this low and a FLAWLESS (zero rips zero tears) Lariat interior? And for those who don't know....that Lariat leather interior with the half-perforated and half-unperforated seats ... so comfortable ....it breathes so well and feels so good on a long road trip. Again, those leather Lariat seats are amazing ....plus you got every available option in those seats (pause this video at minute 13:16)....some Lariat's don't have the 4 power options that you have here....these seats have it all ....4 power switches AND the 2 manual adjustable aspects of these seats as well. Again, not all Lariats came equipped with all 6 adjustments (the heat button, the 3 power switches and the 2 manual [lumbar roller and recline handle] adjustments). Great seats. Great interior. Great truck both inside and out.

You've given me an idea,painting the chrome bumpers,stain black. You have a nice truck, what would make it look better is black rear tail lights plus a custom number plate. (WIDOW)

Love the truck, I’ve been looking for a truck as clean as yours in black with gray interior for the longest time, I personally looked in to swapping tailgates to a 2013-16 & doing led oem 2016 style tail lights to update the rear end. Love the front end also being a rancher myself my brothers in law convinced me to put a ranch hand bumper on mine once I get one of course. But all in all very nice truck

Fellow '02 7.3 owner here (black/silver).. Had mine since '06 (bought with 80k on the clock), paid about $21k for it. Love the truck, been super reliable.. mostly just parked these days (daily an '01 Jetta TDI (ALH), for nearly 50mpg).. but aesthetically... wouldn't do anything else to yours- IMO it's perfect. Keep the content coming, and enjoy your truck!

What ever you decide, do not remove your rear air bags! They allow to to haul/tow more weight without the rear sagging 😀👍

I really want to replace my solid rear glass with the sliding glass. To me it just looks so much better. Overall, beautiful rig👍
