Arrogance and entitlement. He killed loving parents who tried their best to redeem him. I wouldn’t expect any less. I quite like pigs, but I hope he gets “teased” about his last name in prison.
I don't know if any company would have rented one to him because of his age (I'm thinking 25 being minimum to rent one) and would immediately raise a flag to investigators and "paper" trail. This young man, Christopher Porco, didn’t show any remorse whatsoever for what he did to his father and mother. He was a very arrogant, callous, selfish, cold and soulless man who not only was failing his courses in college but was also a thief trying to steal money out of his parent’s fortune. Christopher thought he was entitled to his parents’ money when he wasn’t. That money belonged to his parents, they worked for it and not to him. I think she genuinely forgot who attacked her due to the brain damage she acquired from the incident. Keep in mind she was hit in the head with an axe three times and almost died.
She probably doesn’t remember that day. She took 3 ax swipes to the head. Also PTSD will literally make you forget traumatic memories. Your brain will protect your sanity at all costs.
@@MorganBF1 It's not just about forgetting. It's denial. The amount of evidence against her son was overwhelming, but the thought that her baby could have done that is too shocking for her to accept. Easier to lie to herself
Very sad; gruesome, and unbelievable. How one can be so brutal to attack his own parents with an axe. But the detectives of this modern world are equipped with such amazing tools that they reach to the right conclusion. It was a very hard case to be detected.
Wow! I'm blown away! This is exactly how I was able to put together that my mom was a vulnerable narcissist! When they said they were mad but still loved him, I said WHAT!!?? My mom would never her wildest dreams say that! When the mom still believed her son was innocent! My eyes popped out head! My mom would NEVER believe that! She ALWAYS believed the other person if for some reason there was an incident! I don't ever think she took my side on anything! Not even my divorce! Nothing! Wow! I never knew parents actually did these things! I always thought it was just something they do on tv, not in real life. Wow! So parents love their children unconditionally? Wow! One of the most shocking stories for Forensic Files. 1. How could "he" have done such violence?!? 2. What happened to the victims AFTER being attacked, is heartbreaking!
I live in the Albany, NY area and this case had all of our eyes on it. We were so glad he was found guilty, because what this guy did was awful... including all the lies, stealing and fraud beforehand. He ran out of appeals, so his latest stunt is to file a 440 motion claiming that he had ineffective counsel. What a crock of $hiit. Re: Joan: remember, she has two sons. So the whole "lost a husband, didn't want to lose her son, too," doesn’t pass the sniff test to me. I believe that Christopher was his Mommy's Baby, her Golden Child, even with all the shady shiit he pulled over the years. Mommy and Daddy always bailed him out. My guess is that Jonathan got sick of that BS and distanced himself from the family. That's why you hardly hear anything about Jonathan during this ordeal, except that he was the older son, he is away in the service (thank you, Jonathan), and that he is "estranged" from Christopher. I bet that Joan is also on that list because she refuses to accept the fact that her Baby Boy Golden Child would commit such a heinous act. It's gotta be tough to be supportive to Joan. Jonathan: you have my sympathies. I can't relate to my sibling being an axe murder, but I can relate to my mother enabling the $hit out of my sneaky, manipulative sister. I'm so sorry your family is torn to bits because your brother is an entitled, spoiled, sociopathic d-bag 🙏
Ye mum, your in denial thinking it’s my son who’s an angel and wouldn’t do this. Well hello, money changes a person regardless what they are to you. Beats me how she can look in the mirror everyday thinking her son is innocent with all of the evidence. Good one mum.
He probably removed his clothes before he attacked them. He would have been familiar with the house therefore comfortable in taking off his clothes...possibly washing before he redressed. God bless you for having this mentality the Bible warns that the love of money is the root of all evil and people will literally do any and every thing for money. Money can be replaced a life can’t and you’re absolutely correct our mother’s is our best friend and for someone to intentionally kill their parents for money is really sad
I am completely shocked that Peter Porco was able to walk around completely unaware that he had been wounded, especially since he was struck 16 times. Plus an ax is a pretty large instrument, so I don't understand how he couldn't have noticed.
This one stands out to me as one of the most disturbing and tragic cases. Mr. Porco just wandering around the house, unaware that he’s mortally wounded is just horrifying. I can’t even imagine what was going through in his mind. Just the betrayal of it all. His own son did this to him and his wife. I’m not sure what Mrs. Porco is doing today but I just pray that she’s alright. She may be heartbroken with the conviction of her own son but I pray she can come to terms with it. And that her husband (spiritually) and her other son is looking out for her. RIP Peter Porco, others who knew him that’d passed in recent years, and Peter Thomas
@@ritabook7601 I was reading about how sociopaths can now be identified, even in young children. The issue is what to do about them...some research showing they can learn how not to act out. They do respond to consequences and rewards....
He's actually probably a psychopath. Psychopaths are born while sociopaths are made (usually due to extensive childhood trauma and abuse). A psychopath can be raised in a normal home but their brains are just wired wrong. This guy showed classic symptoms of psychopathy. Superficial charm, a history of lying and manipulation, parasitic lifestyle, lack of empathy and remorse, narcissism, impulsive behavior. Classic psychopath.
I honestly don't blame his mom for not believing her own son killed her husband. The axe likely hit the part of the brain that caused the memory loss. I don't believe she loved her son unconditionally. She saw it happened with her own eyes. She wouldn't have walked with her kid to the court if it wasn't for the memory loss.
So sad hearing that letter from peter saying they still love and care about him even though he took over 30k from them. Im sure even after what happened his dad still loves him!
No kidding. After a brutal attack and major head trauma one’s brain isn’t working properly. It would be interesting to hear all the questions they asked and her responses.
Pretty sure if you get hit in the head with an axe 3 times it's safe to say you were an intended target as well. So messed up he let his mom walk on his arm to the trial for killing his dad and maiming her knowing what he'd done to her.
This bizarrely similar to another case happen in the south, father was also lawer and he was mutilated and ended blind, mother died during attack, son was after money, I have watched 4 forensic episodes where son kill or attempted to kill his parents, that’s scary, because it was not that much money. I find betrayal is the most difficult to live with and unforgiving mistake. The poor mother can’t afford to loss son, husband and her face all together and if she accepts that son was a killer means that she need to live also with the fact that she is also partially responsible as she fails to raise him.
And there's the case of the father who got his son off death row in Texas (first time that's ever happened) because the son was the only family member he had left - son had killed the mother and brother. Utterly heartbreaking, the loyalty and love of the father. I've experienced many betrayals from family members, but how does one survive through something like this? Nightmarish. Upbringing has to be a factor, but likely they are sociopaths, which seems to be an inborn condition (?)
They asked a bunch of questions but the show truncated it to the relevant question. For example, they asked “Do you know who did this?”, “Was it family?” Answers to both were a positive nod. Then the detective asked “Was it Johnathan?” (the older brother). And she answered No by nod. Only AFTER asking about Johnathan, did the detective ask “Was it Christopher?” to which the mother nodded Yes. All of the questions and answers were also witnessed by the paramedics. So in fact, the detective did the opposite of asking specifically about Christopher first. He asked about him last after narrowing it down to him.
@David Menke - re: "Jesus SO scary....." 1. Are you writing to Jesus on RUclips Comments? 2. Do you tend to start sentences with Jesus, perhaps being SO religious? 3. Ehhh?

The mom is in denial. Sad. What a POS to do something like that to your own parents or to anyone. He belongs where he is right now.
Maybe they deserved it. 🤔
@@thenativist3564 ~ And maybe they didn't...
Mom needed CODA meetings! 😢
when i was a pre-teen, a neighbour of my family's had a teenage son that robbed beat a university professor to death. his mother swore up and down that HER son would not do a thing like that. he was convicted and his mother went to a mental institution screaming that not HER son, he would not do that. she was still institutionalized 10 years later and still defending her son.
Welp, maybe that's the problem here.
I’m sorry but I cannot side with my kid simply because he’s my kid if I knew he tried to kill me.... people who side with their kids over horrible things/decisions need help
no such thing as unconditional love
That DNA processing for comparison is amazing. EZ Pass? Incredible how it is even pulled. Great job law enforcement involved!
I can watch this episode over and over again. The human brain 🧠 is amazing I was and still in awe. How he got up and went about his day ..
Thank you for the picture, for I was unaware of what a brain looked like.
Brings autopilot to another level. The human brain is mesmerizing.
I feel so bad for the brother who had lost both his parents, in a sense.. one's gone and the other one is in denial about Christopher being the guilty one. Wish the mom would wake up to reality :( Christopher doesn't deserve her.
Killing his parents with axe is another level of evil. It need a very evil person to struck their parents many many times and left them to die
I really hope all these greedy, egotistical kids, who take all the love and care of their parents for granted, will live the day they realize how hard and raw life is when you don't have the persons who cared the most for you. It will be a hard wake up call.
he will in prison
Fascinating how the brain can keep going on with routine chores, while the body is in no shape to do so.
I smiled when I saw the name Dave Rossi... Criminal Minds, anyone?
Apparently the body WAS in shape to do so
😉, and CSI has made an episode on this “event”
Man this episode of FF was one that always stood out to me. I couldn't remember the name but I started watching this 13 seasons of FF playlist. I cant believe how fast Ive been burning through them only watching them while at work.
I knew I was getting towards the end of the list with less than 30 episodes left, so I was getting a little worried this particular episode may not be included. Finally getting to it has made my day.
I just remember being fascinated by the victim going through his normal morning routines. Absolutely tragic with what happened to them & i hope they Rest in Peace.
The one w the cut off hands was near my.limit.
If you`re up to no good, don`t drive around in a yellow jeep.
I couldn't help but think, "Why didn't you rent a car?" Strange how this show gets me to thinking this, because of course I DON'T want them to succeed...
He was a moron, flunking out of school, stealing from his parents, thought he'd not use the EZY-Pass and fixed the alarm.
Arrogance and entitlement. He killed loving parents who tried their best to redeem him. I wouldn’t expect any less. I quite like pigs, but I hope he gets “teased” about his last name in prison.
He was obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
I don't know if any company would have rented one to him because of his age (I'm thinking 25 being minimum to rent one) and would immediately raise a flag to investigators and "paper" trail. He MIGHT have been better off stealing a car, but with his big brain he'd steal another yellow Jeep Wrangler.
This was a very vicious, vicious crime! Can you imagine being struck in the head 16 times??? and his wife 3 times??? I can’t even begin to imagine what this couple went through ……just horrific. What a way to die this poor man had. Wow. I am glad Peter Porco’s son was convicted and is in prison. The savagery and brutality of this crime was horrendous. The manner that Peter Porco died and the way his wife was left with her face so disfigured, it warrants the death penalty. May Mr. Porco rest in peace always. 🙏🏻🙏🏻. I hope this lady is doing better physically and emotionally.
What a slap on the wrist they gave this murderer... only 50 years for killing his father and almost killing his mother. Oh this is so horrible I can't believe he wasn't sentenced to death.
I've never heard a 50 to Life sentence referred to as "A slap on the wrist" 😂
Yeah, it is a slap on the wrist considering the gravity of the murder. He should have been given a life sentence or a death sentence.
50 is a decent sentence, he probably won't get parole after that anyway.
He should hv gotten the death penalty
One of the most brutal attacks and killing that literally gave me chills when I saw this years ago! Especially the father being bashed in the brains to the point that his brain instincts took over while he was still alive:(
Only a sociopath would be able to hold his moms hand and look at her face everyday with zero conscience/remorse 🤦🏻♂️
Edit- my girlfriend has 3 daughters her youngest 11yr old is so spoiled she flips out until she gets her way this is how spoiled kids act I keep warning her as last few years shes getting worse.
Even though he stole over 30gs from his father that email he sent Christopher shows how much of a great dad he was and this is how he repays his parents!! Spoiled, selfish monster who I hope rots and sleeps every night being haunted by their image before he left them..
Hit the nail on the head right here- so absolutely correct!
Always the spoiled grown up kids doing this when they don't get their way😡
So sad how the father walked around, made breakfast and got the paper not knowing he was injured. 😟
She is not stunned by the verdict, she is afraid of him. That is why she swears he is innocent. She knows better... this is sad 😔
That’s one way to look at it
exactly... a mother would know especially being around him after the attack.,.i bet his evil energy amplified and his fakeness also trying to convince her he didn't do it.. she was scared and compartmentalized everything to survive knowing full well he did it
Wow that's scary
Scared of what him sitting in jail till he’s 90 ? I get her saying hes innocent before his conviction but why is she still saying it ?
This is easily in my top five FF Episodes of all time mostly due to 2:35. Fascinating, Unforgettable Real Life Horror 😱😱😱
They knew Christopher did it when they interrogated him. "Who killed your father?", they queried. Christopher replied, "Don't axe me".
20:06 - Stood by her ‘SPAWN’ the entire time!
Steadfastly maintaining his insolence! 😂
"Innocence."
Yo Pops!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Sorry that had me rolling!!!
yeah .. especially how the reader/actor said it!
Dont understand why kids want to kill their parents
The word of God does not return to Him without doing what it says. God said, if u spare the rod, u spoil the child. So society have decided that the Bible is a mess therefore they won't go by it. It's best to listen to the psychologists and psychopaths. IF U DON'T CORRECT THE CHILD, THE CHILD WILL CORRECT U. BECAUSE THEY DO NOT FEAR U OR GOD. THEY DON'T RESPECT U OR THE LAW. For this purpose, even a police officer is not safe around people like these. Only JESUS Christ can deal with the heart of humans, put Him aside and you've got Satan

Unbelievable case of a very horrific crime where Peter Porco tragically lost his life. And his mother who had no memory of the attack, was left disfigured for the rest of her life. She believed her son was innocent when he did, in fact, committed a heinous and the most brutal crime full of malice. I was hoping Christopher got the lethal injection but was only given 50 years in prison rather than life without parole that he deserved it. Rest in Peace always Mr. Porco 🙏
Smh @ the mom... no one else had a motive... it was ur son lady
Kinda strange though that a family with a security system would hide a key right at the front door.
Well I’d think that it was hidden. Kind of like how they explained. It was hidden in the flower pot. It’s not like it was hanging from the door knob.
@@hairlesscat6458 but that's the thing most criminals know to check around the front door like under flower pots and rugs and rocks that are nearby.

Homer Simpson ominously looking out the window at 17:25 mark had me rolling...
Very sad; gruesome, and unbelievable. How one can be so brutal to attack his own parents with an axe. But the detectives of this modern world are equipped with such amazing tools that they reach to the right conclusion. It was a very hard case to be detected.

Many children are just doomed with a great sense of entitledment.
This episode is disturbing to me . I think it was adapted in CSI .
The mother is not budging smh spoiling that kid to the very end. Wow.
Yup, I would have filed after the first time
Wow! That's so foreign to me!
lol i'm glad you didn't have kids then... you need therapy
That isn't love, it's codependency
That young man was spoiled. The old man should have filed charges on him for that 31k forgery. He's nothing more than a cold blooded killer. Fortunately he'll be and old man when does get out of prison, if he lives that long.
One of the most unbelievable stories I’ve ever heard it’s truly a story that will haunt me for a while 😔
One of the most shocking stories for Forensic Files. 1. How could "he" have done such violence?!? 2. What happened to the victims AFTER being attacked, is heartbreaking!
Very disturbing...
When you spoil your child, make excuses for everything they do wrong and refuse to believe they can't do no wrong, you create a monster.
Wow that detective that knew right of the bat that the son was responsible. How smart is that. My salute 🙌 to him
I live in the Albany, NY area and this case had all of our eyes on it.
His Mother is in complete denial and he can do no wrong in her eyes it's no wonder she raised a monster a selfish entitled brat. Mom is part of the problem although she didn't deserve what she got. Mommy's Boy.
He used overalls
Lots of evidence that the brains of sociopaths are quite different...Most Mommy's Boys don't do this stuff.
@@pamelaleigh4225 yup. As annoying as a mommas boy is, they protect their moms ferociously. This is not a mommy boy, this is a psychopath.

Why are so many people shocked by the mom's denial? She was hit in the head with an axe 3 times and nearly died for Pete's sake.

WHY DO PEOPLE KILL FOR MONEY? ESPECIALLY YOUR OWN PARENTS? I WILL INHERIT A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY FROM MY MOTHER WHEN SHE PASSES...BUT I DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT STUPID MONEY...I DON’T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT HER..SHE’S MY MOM AND MY BEST FRIEND...I PRAY SHE LIVES A LONG HEALTHY LIFE
YOU AND ME ARE LIKE THAT - THIS ''STUPID'' MONEY WOULD NEVER CROSS MY MIND - GOT MY OWN ANYWAY - ONLY GOOD PEOPLE THINK THIS WAY **** GOOD ON YOU
Why on earth are the both of you typing in this manner?
God bless you for having this mentality the Bible warns that the love of money is the root of all evil and people will literally do any and every thing for money. I will never have kids or a wife thanks kindly to forensic files I've been watching since I was 14 yrs old, Way back in 1998 on court tv.
This episode brought tears to my eyes
He must've been really pissed off at his dad! Damn! That's some major overkill! I hope he feels better now!
I am completely shocked that Peter Porco was able to walk around completely unaware that he had been wounded, especially since he was struck 16 times. Plus an ax is a pretty large instrument, so I don't understand how he couldn't have noticed.
This has always been one of my favorite episodes
The reason she defends him, supposedly, is because she didn’t remember that he actually did do it, because of the head injury.
I think this inspired both CSI: Original and Law & Order episodes. I forgot which seasons and episodes but I still remember the storylines.
Human Brain is the most sophisticated natural substance in the known universe!
I've watched lots of FF videos but none was as terrifying as this one.
Hideous and fascinating. The power of greed, though it's hard to believe Chris Porco is not a sociopath, and that appears to be an inborn condition.
I agree! He's got that flat affect that verifies his lack of emotions like a true sociopath.

The thought of acquiring a large sum of money is often like pouring Miracle Grow on your character flaws. And boy did that guy have some major flaws.
She just loves her son!.. No matter what!..
One of the most interesting episodes I've watched.
So sad hearing that letter from peter saying they still love and care about him even though he took over 30k from them. Im sure even after what happened his dad still loves him!
Heartbreaking 💔😔
Going to jail for it might have helped.
he has an evil heart, so sad for the mother. Hope her other son is there for her. Rest in peace, Peter.
Man if he grew a conscious it was def when his mother was by his side claiming his innocence knowing he was guilty of the crime...smh
He kept her there to cast doubt.
What would be happened if she didnt say my son. Do you think cops would suspect the son as a murderer
No kidding. After a brutal attack and major head trauma one’s brain isn’t working properly. It would be interesting to hear all the questions they asked and her responses.
I bet they would have looked for the evidence (and found it) anyway. Family members are always the first suspects.
Parents giving their kids everything is deadly.
Christopher: hey PoPo. Catch me if you can.
PoPo: Aight, bet.
Peter was a "dead man walking "
That’s amazing how complex and powerful the brain is.
Imagine if he couldn't find the key and he went next door to knock for help.
The Zombie of FF (part 1)
Pretty sure if you get hit in the head with an axe 3 times it's safe to say you were an intended target as well. So messed up he let his mom walk on his arm to the trial for killing his dad and maiming her knowing what he'd done to her.
The most interesting episode of FF I have seen. I love this show.
This bizarrely similar to another case happen in the south, father was also lawer and he was mutilated and ended blind, mother died during attack, son was after money,
I have watched 4 forensic episodes where son kill or attempted to kill his parents, that’s scary, because it was not that much money.
Bart Whitiker!… you’re right!…👍🏼his Dad lost an eye I think..but he knows the truth..🤔 ……✌🏼🇨🇦
Why would the family friend/medic ask if it was that son specifically before knowing any info.
Jesus SO scary that part about Peter walking around after the attack. Scary as hell!!!!
@David Menke - re: "Jesus SO scary....." 1. Are you writing to Jesus on RUclips Comments? 2. Do you tend to start sentences with Jesus, perhaps being SO religious? 3. Ehhh?
