      @girlwhomustnotbenamed4139 2 года назад +10

      Who says all they've done is love and support him? Murder is obviously unacceptable but it baffles me a lot more that when something like this happens, people assume by default that the parents did everything right. Children growing up in truly loving and supportive families don't end up killing their parents. People who feel like it's more acceptable to do that than admit their life is less than the perfect image they're trying to project usually have parents who expected them to become that perfect image regardless of what they would've wanted or needed to be happy. People don't just kill randomly, especially not their parents. And before anyone wants to wilfully misconstrue what I wrote, I repeat, violence is not acceptable, that's not a debate. There are just a lot more shitty, controlling parents who are convinced they're doing "everything for their child" than there are parent killers, so it's most likely the latter actually don't come from families that truly loved and supported them.

      @@girlwhomustnotbenamed4139 Maybe so but also understand that people have demons. Many people come from a broken homes and do not result in murder. I know you were not suggesting this. And no parent does everything right; However you can give and give and give, keep food in the fridge, a roof over your child's head, make sure they have the necessities in life and still it is not enough. This man was warped in the head. He left his parents for dead. The same woman that carried him to term tried to kill her. He stood there holding the hand of the person that pushed him into this world and gave him life knowing good and well he tried to take hers. This young man, Christopher Porco, didn’t show any remorse whatsoever for what he did to his father and mother. He was a very arrogant, callous, selfish, cold and soulless man who not only was failing his courses in college but was also a thief trying to steal money out of his parent’s fortune. Christopher thought he was entitled to his parents’ money when he wasn’t. That money belonged to his parents, they worked for it and not to him.
    Unbelievable case of a very horrific crime where Peter Porco tragically lost his life. And his mother who had no memory of the attack, was left disfigured for the rest of her life. She believed her son was innocent when he did, in fact, committed a heinous and the most brutal crime full of malice. I was hoping Christopher got the lethal injection but was only given 50 years in prison rather than life without parole that he deserved it. Rest in Peace always Mr. Porco 🙏

    I live in the Albany, NY area and this case had all of our eyes on it. We were so glad he was found guilty, because what this guy did was awful... including all the lies, stealing and fraud beforehand.
    He ran out of appeals, so his latest stunt is to file a 440 motion claiming that he had ineffective counsel. What a crock of $hiit.
    Re: Joan: remember, she has two sons. So the whole "lost a husband, didn't want to lose her son, too," doesn’t pass the sniff test to me. I believe that Christopher was his Mommy's Baby, her Golden Child, even with all the shady shiit he pulled over the years. Mommy and Daddy always bailed him out.
    My guess is that Jonathan got sick of that BS and distanced himself from the family. That's why you hardly hear anything about Jonathan during this ordeal, except that he was the older son, he is away in the service (thank you, Jonathan), and that he is "estranged" from Christopher. I bet that Joan is also on that list because she refuses to accept the fact that her Baby Boy Golden Child would commit such a heinous act. It's gotta be tough to be supportive to Joan.
    Jonathan: you have my sympathies. I can't relate to my sibling being an axe murder, but I can relate to my mother enabling the $hit out of my sneaky, manipulative sister. I'm so sorry your family is torn to bits because your brother is an entitled, spoiled, sociopathic d-bag 🙏

    I have watched 4 forensic episodes where son kill or attempted to kill his parents, that’s scary, because it was not that much money. I find betrayal is the most difficult to live with and unforgiving mistake. The poor mother can’t afford to loss son, husband and her face all together and if she accepts that son was a killer means that she need to live also with the fact that she is also partially responsible as she fails to raise him.

Utterly heartbreaking, the loyalty and love of the father. I've experienced many betrayals from family members, but how does one survive through something like this? Nightmarish. They asked a bunch of questions but the show truncated it to the relevant question. For example, they asked “Do you know who did this?”, “Was it family?” Answers to both were a positive nod. Then the detective asked “Was it Johnathan?” (the older brother). And she answered No by nod. Only AFTER asking about Johnathan, did the detective ask “Was it Christopher?” to which the mother nodded Yes. All of the questions and answers were also witnessed by the paramedics.
      So in fact, the detective did the opposite of asking specifically about Christopher first. He asked about him last after narrowing it down to him.
