  • The Wera ToolCheck Plus is a great first choice of a Wera tool to get started in their ecosystem, or as a stand alone kit for the go bag or car. The wide range of bits and sockets combined with a driver handle and mini ratchet make this kit almost perfection. Start building your collection from here with full size ratchets and drivers and all these parts will still fit with all those as your collections grow. #wera #weratoolrebels #weratools

    As several have noted my first Wera tools were the SAE and Metric ToolCheck Plus sets. I love these little things as these along with a pair of pliers-wrench's and maybe a pair of needle nose cover 90% of the random things I end up having to repair. Indeed most of the stuff I end up repairing these days are scientific instruments which all seem to have the design philosophy of small, cramped, and random which makes the ToolCheck Plus super useful.

    Been carrying a set in my cargo pocket for 3 years as a industrial maintenance tech. I don't know how many calls I've completed with just this set vs having to roll out a toolbox or carry a tool bag. Those calls still exist. But this little set really saves the back and feet.

    I like the Toolcheck plus overall but it comes with one major flaw. The plastic slider on top that is not a good solution because it can accidentally move to one side and the ratchet can fall out. In my opinion the Wera Kraftform Kompakt Zyklop Speed is a good alternative to the Toolcheck plus as it is in the same price/size range and it comes with some advantages compared to the Toolcheck: (1) the Zyklop ratchet is bigger and more versatile than the small ratchet in the Toolcheck and it comes with an extension, (2) the bits are longer and (3) it comes in a textile pouch (better protection from potential fall damage).

    • @Plumbmax
      @Plumbmax 7 месяцев назад

      They shouldn’t when used with real force, when I was early in my apprenticeship as a mechanic I snapped a security Torx thinking they were the same. On low torque applications I’m sure it will work. But if you popped that but into a impact to zap a torx screw out of something that’s proper snug, you risk the possibility to snap it. Not saying you are wrong, just dropping my experience and knowledge on that topic. Cheers sir🍻
