D+ NEEDS to merge w/ Hulu and increase their content. They need to make use of the properties that they own and make use of the 'adult teir' that theyincluded to allow for rated R movies like Deadpool.
I would love to see Aliens movies on D+
They do have a Collection for it. When it happens it'll be like Star on Disney+.
Disney needs to stop removing the content they already have. Some of us was watching that content believe it or not!
Incredible news! Disney+ US and Hulu are finally merging at last but we’re not out of the woods yet right?
We're ? Who we're?
@@extremedee7320 everyone in general but mainly the US. As Roger said, it’ll still be a messy process with Disney+ and Hulu merging.
not even close to out of the woods!
@@ItsOctober3rdOfficial far from it!
It about time they going to be one app. Can’t wait to see what their plans about. I hope we get more information and how this going work. Um I use Hulu live and Disney plus.
The services will still be available separately. ESPN+ and Hulu are just being integrated into the Disney+ app, so that members will not have to install more than one app.
It always made sense to do that with espn+ but suspect the issue with Hulu is that it’s tricky to merge until fully owned
I'm excited for this! I'm so glad both my favorite streaming services are finally going to be combined!
I hope this will give us in Norway Scandinavia and rest of the world much more content faster
Same. If this becomes Hulu+ with a lot of international content from Disney, Fox, ESPN, Funimation, and Some Warner Bros.Discovery content then I really hope Hulu+ is it.
But it does need a interface similar like netflix but green. And tons and tons of Huge Promotions
@@DragonwaveOG yes I totaly agree
It’s great that Hulu is gonna join under the Disney+ app. But as long as Comcast on the third of the Hulu steak is involved, then Disney’s gonna have to take it all in stages. ESPN plus though it’s gonna be an easy fix to put within the hub of Disney.
Just want to find out next week what happens and if Comcast decides to seal the deal before the next year hits the Disney will definitely have creative liberties to do whatever they want with Hulu.
Now the live TV options going to be tricky whether or not it’s gonna happen at separate app or within the Disney+ platform
Idk. They said they also wanted to sell The streaming services as a standalone thing. Meaning Disney, ESPN wil also still have their own platform.
Hulu is basically gonna become Hulu+ with all Disney, espn and perhaps also Funimation and WBD content or atleast CN shows
The thing I don't understand is, they have Peacock. Why not just sell there shares of Hulu to Disney, and focus of Peacock?
@@EdwardNewgate58 that’s what they wanna do. I think That Disney is the one that doesn’t wanna do it.
But I ain’t a expert in all of this so…
Oh, yeah! I can't wait for Disney+ to add HULU content including Solar Opposites, Only Murders in this Building and many more in the end of the year!
Like Star on Disney+. I finished Solar Opposites on Disney+ this year.
This is just like what Warner Bros. Discovery did to HBO Max and Discovery+.
pretty much
Hopefully they will not erase the shows and films like Discovery particularly animation
@@joeelliott4820 WBD mainly did that for the tax write offs, since the merger put them in a serious amount of debt. Disney doesn't necessarily have that issue, so they won't have to remove anything.
So for now, each offering will still be separate, but accessible in one place? At least it's a move in the right direction. I imagine that the "Hulu" branding won't go away, but be integrated into Disney+ as a channel.
Looking forward to see that in the US more stuff to watch thank you Roger
Im sure all of the unedited content across Disney should be here in the 21st Century via Blu-ray and DVD
That’s good for me. Hulu is not voiceover accessible, but Disney+ is.
How come Disney can do a streaming bundle with Disney+ Hulu and ESPN+ but Comcast can't do a Peacock and Hulu bundle?
Disney owns most of Hulu
Disney owns enough of Hulu to have ultimate control of it.
Hulu ads are the worse out of all streaming. I won't touch it nor dplus with ads either.
I have disney Hulu bundle but does that mean I can still download the Hulu app and watch it too?
That a Great news into one app
I know I have Disney plus subscription through Amazon. I just wonder when I get ad-tier version of Disney plus.
I have the adds with Hulu, and with Disney plus I pay for no adds. Will I get with no adds on Hulu too..?
I wonder if the “Animaniacs” 2020 reboot and the original are considering moving over to the new Max along with “Tiny Toon Adventures” which will be moving to Max as well when the new “Tiny Toons Looniversity” will become popular when it comes out this fall.
Disney+ needs a Live TV feature, anyway. If I’m Disney, I would just eventually import Hulu With Live TV into Disney+. Hulu With Live TV is a significant business for them.
I do hope that they continue to expand the pillars since you said the Star hub overseas is messy. At least, it’ll help declutter
Discovery plus & HBO Max - merge into MAX streaming service here in USA on May 23rd 2023
Finally! They need to add more content that’s good! Not these crappy shows that kids, and adults don’t want to watch. They have been targeting a very small audience
Hulu Live TV sucks. The only thing I'd miss from Hulu's dedicated platform is the far superior "My Stuff" which tells you when shows expire as well as the third party deals which I image would still be available after the merger. Otherwise Disney+'s website has much better video quality as well as navigation. I am still bitter about all the shows being purged though.
I just bundle disney plus and hulu last week. I hope ill be apart of the merge
So, in the United States 🇺🇸, Disney+ and Hulu are beacme a new merger streaming service?
Now, this is just like what Warner Bros. Discovery did to HBO Max and Discovery+ and became a new streaming service called "MAX"!!!
ESPN+ & Hulu are going to be available within Disney+ to begin with by the looks of it,
@ROYALTY They aren’t buying STARZ it is worthless to them.
I have another question, are we gonna get horror movies on Disney+ since hulus content is coming to Disney+.?
Any idea in pricing?
Does anyone know when they do merge if you will have to pay for Disney+ or no when the merge happens in the U.S
No details have been revealed how this will work yet
Will hulu content be free with disney+ when they come on Disney+ app for those like me that don’t have Hulu and will they update the disney+ app when it comes out? I also do wonder if they are gonna put hulu content on Disney+ leading months before the new hub on disney+ app and will we be able to keep our passwords for just Disney+
everything will be on one app
Hulu works on my phone but disney plus never does half the time so please dont mess with hulu
What a whopper of a video, Roger! You certainly know how to deliver the goods am I right? Lol
Not gonna lie, I did actually have trouble going to sleep last night thinking about how all of this is working.
@@WhatsOnDisneyPlus don’t worry I’m a night owl too in the best possible way. As long as you get 4 hours of sleep that’s the main thing I think.
4....!??? I usually aim between 6 and 8!
@@WhatsOnDisneyPlus isn’t that supposed to be the minimum? But definitely like you said 6-8 roughly.
So how would this effect overseas
it wont you already have everything from hulu
It won't
Will the paid will change of a full year on Disney plus?
Here's something not many are saying but:
1) Iger pushing this out publicly COULD still be ANOTHER negotiating tactic to get Comcast to up their offer. If you listen closely to his words during the question he answers at the end, he says basically he's decided general entertainment living alongside Disney+ content is the future, BUT that's with or without Hulu. In other words, if he sells Hulu he will just slap a star tile (named something different probably) and move the content over as he can.
2) There is a slim chance that they rebrand the "new" service similar to the "max" relaunch.
What about a November 12 2023 Disney+ Day Relaunch with a new name and UI changes.
Perfect 4 year anniversary gift - retire Disney+. They've launched in all major markets with Africa and Asia still waiting, but the DISNEY name has done most of the magic it needed to...
They aren’t changing the name. Iger said Hulu will be available within Disney+
I already use a VPN with Disney Plus to get Star + content.
What will happen to Hulu and Disney plus apps themselves?
Hulu’s staying the same but all the content that’s currently on Hulu (specifically ABC and Fox content) is coming to Disney+
What would happen to Star+ in Latin America? It makes total sense to have the platform shut down and all that content switched to Disney+ in the region but I wanna see your thoughts.
Personally, i could see them either merging them at some point, to make a unified system globally, but it might be a while off.. Or making Star+ basically ESPN+ and move Star to D+. I think Star+ was a bit of an experiment to see if it would work how they've done it
Wonder if they will do a hub updates and add more
I hope so, because they need to make the UI suitable for the merging.
@@WiiMan3121 with a Netflix type interface is best. It gives people a better view of their content and their audience
Very likely add a Hulu hub to Disney+. I also agree they need a more modern interface with more features and activity. Something like Netflix, yes. Pluto TV for instance is too active.
Are they to bring max on Disney plus
So does this mean will finnally have a like an dislike button like on hulu!? 😮
Looking forward to this.
Will there still be separate apps for like you know just Disney Plus or just Hulu?
No it will be all in one app.
@@lindamcdaniel2419 Ok
@@lindamcdaniel2419 I thought Roger said individually.
What will happen to Disney+ Hotstar and Hotstar X? Is single unified app globally is the future of Disney+?
What about a merger with ESPN+?
Please no anime, people are right they’re bad at advertising it. Hulu posted a video on RUclips (which I won’t post here because the last video link i posted here was deleted because of it) on the upcoming content that was going to release in April. And you know what I didn’t see on that list? tengoku daimakyou, an anime that was released on April 1st.
Anime does certainly get advertised a lot less than other content
What’s the rumour of the price hike in the uk £10.99 is a big jump if its true
First I’ve heard of it
I love having Disney+ but by removing content do they mean shows like the Disney Channel shows and The Simpsons or some of the adult sitcoms in there libraries
The popular things are much less likely to go and the removals are probably more on the Hulu side
@@WhatsOnDisneyPlus thanks for letting me know I’m from New Zealand so I don’t know if that means my country
@@WhatsOnDisneyPlusAnd speaking of removals, most of the Disney films from the 90’s and 2000’s might end up going to Tubi which includes “Jungle 2 Jungle”, “Man Of The House”, “Ghost Rider” and others.

What merge?
did you not watch the video
I just hope they put King of the Hill on Disney plus
It is on Hulu.
It is on Disney+. I'm on Season 3.
@@lindamcdaniel2419 Hulu's not available.
That’s part of Hulu, and owned by Disney. I’m 99% sure King of the Hill will be on USA Disney+.
@@nickperkins8477Do you know if they’ll put Abbott Elementary? Because is owned by 20th century fox and Warner brothers
EXCITING NEWS!
Can any1 tell me if we will get the show 'The Goldbergs' on D+ when this happens?
when Disney buys sony
@@jimbo9208 You said that Spider-Man is not coming Beacuse it's Sony. Sony shows are on Disney+.
And it's spin off "Schooled". The Spin off was made by Disney and Sony. Not the main show.
It's likely when Star on Disney+ comes.
GREAT News!
I only have disney+ and so my good question is it gonna be free for Disney+ subscribers like me and are they FINALLY gonna add the marvel/hulu shows including cloak and dagger onto Disney+ under the marvel banner?
Like Star on Disney, so yes.
We will have to see you probably have to paid for the bundle.
@@lindamcdaniel2419 nope…I only have disney+
@@davidsmither95Hulu is going to be added to Disney+ under The Disney Bundle subscription.
This was interesting
What will happen too hotstar with this coming into one app .
Won't impact Hotstar since that basically already is ESPN+, Hulu and Disney+ in one
Hotstar has no longer strong standing in Indian Market. It's a dead thing already 😂
@@vinitakumari6687 oh wow omg
I hope this means Hulu+ is gonna come internationally
it already is
@@jimbo9208 what where? Besides Japan?
And i’m not talking about hulu exclusive content. I’m talking about hulu as a platform itself. Since they got a lot more Anime, WBD animation shows on that platform that aren’t all on Disney* internationally.
Plus majority of Disney content itself isn’t available internationally
@@DragonwaveOG i know
There’s zero reason for Hulu to launch internationally. Almost all the Hulu originals are on disney+ anyway
@@WhatsOnDisneyPlus so Warner Bros content will also come do Disney+ until the contract expires between the 2?
I already have disney+ for a year ♥️ dont have bundle hulu i rather pay disney + itself lol 😆😆
So dose this mean Hulu won't be it's own streaming service
I think its gonna be Hulu+ internationally offering all kinds of content in one while also offering Disney+ and ESPN+ seperately
It’s kinda gonna be merged with disney+ but also available individually. It’s a bit messy until disney buy out Comcast’s stake
Kh season 1 May 2023
How about Uk? World ?
We've already got most of the Hulu content within Star

Who many mouths spider man no way home to be on Disney plus
Is the merging only for US?
Hulu is only in the US (Japan's Hulu isn't owned by Disney)
@@WhatsOnDisneyPlusintendo switch version of Hulu app is still supported
What on Disney + People need access Disney+ and ESPN plus though Hulu in the US. Not the other way around. You all ready can access ESPN + on Hulu. How can Disney afford to buy the rest of Hulu when they are laying off people on ESPN and Disney. It would be smart of Disney if you can access Disney+ on Hulu. Disney+ is losing millions of dollars. But Hulu is very Profitable. Disney + is not very profitable.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Disney plus and hulu merging into one app on Nintendo switch
Comcast buying Discovery
warner bro already did that
New App, HuDis
Maybe Hulu/Disney+ or Disney/Hulu+ or DisHu?
