This is not a great moment for Disney It's going to bankrupt them is what it's going to do because they're already losing a lot of money as it is because of the fox feel and now that you're being forced to buy Hulu it's going to make it even worse.
I think the Hulu merger is what will truly supercharge Disney+ from 2024 onwards, while also helping to reduce overall costs. US Disney+ is pretty much limping along as it waits.
Depending on how long the strikes go on, nothing could save Disney plus alone in 2024. They don't have to much planned ahead that's saved for the year overall. An since people can just opt to just keep Disney plus an not also have hulu, this doesn't bold over well.. Between lack of content next year, an a price rise as well soon. I don't see to many Disney plus subscribers choosing to spend even more money just to have something to watch on another app that's been integrated to ran along side thr Disney plus app itself. Again depending on thr strikes overall. An with Max's head ceo coming out yesterday complaining he's gonna be out 5 billion dollars if the strikes go on. I don't see the strikes ending any time soon. That guy is completely brain dead. 🧠
As long as it will be fully included on Disney Plus I’m all for it. I do have to wonder what this means for non-Disney shows on Hulu like Smallville. Could they sign a deal to keep it on there or maybe it jumps to Max? Ty again @What’s On Disney Plus. I definitely appreciate the updates Roger and keep them and the content coming please!
I'm looking forward to all the upcoming content. Being in the US, I'm looking forward to the future Disney Plus and Hulu merger. I'm hoping the content for the US will look better. I'm also looking forward to what Disney Plus has in store for the holiday season later this year. It sounds like Disney is really starting to have better news for subscribers moving forward.
With Hulu and Disney Plus (finally, hopefully) combining, Disney selling its linear networks like FX, NatGeo, etc *without* retaining the libraries and IP associated with them would be bleeping insane. It’d be like Netflix buying Paramount Global but selling SpongeBob and South Park simply because cable networks are dying.
More likely they will just add a Star hub to Disney + in the U.S. in my view simpler option in my view. Ether way being in The U.K. it's not a problem we will still know whare to find what we want to watch on Disney + as in the U.K. U.S culture definitely bleeds in to British culture so we are well whare of The Hulu brand & what it is. It's the U.S market that has this stupid situation with Disney + & Hulu not the rest of the world Disney are extremely stupid for getting in to this situation in the first place they must of realised off the bat it would cause problems further down the line but as usual with big business money rules of common sense 100% of the time.
As Disney+ reduces its reliance on Marvel and Star Wars I think the five/six hubs that form the centrepiece of its branding will make less sense and eventually be reduced to mere categories and brought down from the top row of the UI, something like Max's Brand Spotlight.
Moana popularity is at an all time high right now. Both a series and eventual live-action remake both in the works am I right? I really do wonder how both of them will turn out.
If Disney does acquire Comcast's stake in Hulu, Hulu could absorb Disney+ and ESPN+ (if it gets the rest from Hearst) to better compete with bigger streamers. And possibly acquire The Jim Henson Company, Sony Pictures, Aardman Animations, Toei Animation, ABC Animation, Kyoto Animation, Bento Box, AMC Networks, Lionsgate, MarVista Entertainment and Fox Corporation's trademark, name and Tubi while selling Gumby back to DreamWorks Classics while it's at it. And for Comcast? Well, it could spin off its own entertainment assets to have them merge with Warner Bros. Discovery...then Paramount Global, Netflix and Amazon's film/TV assets while selling WB Games to a gaming studio.
I saw the Hulu story on insta but wanted to watch you to see if it was true if the USA becomes like the rest of the world I wounder if they would require parental controls to watch the Hulu content like you have to get it to 18+ to access the 18+ content rather than its been available by default
Hey Roger, I do want to ask you a bit of an off-topic question. What do you think of dragon ball z overall? I do really like it but I don’t consider it my absolute favourite anime ever or anything like that. I’ve always been more of a Pokémon fan but no sending DBZ’s impact on the genre as a whole.
I really didn’t care for the new haunted mansion movie. It really dragged on for too long and too many different storylines and characters going on all at once. I mean I generally understood the storyline, but it felt so overstuffed in general. I don’t know if it’s just me.
I am hoping in terms of The U.K when everything gets sorted out in the U.S with all this Disney + Hulu merger malarkey in the U.K. we will eventually get ESPN + as it is badly need it as we have now got basically zero legit way of Watching NCAA College Football from The States now because they have closed down ESPN Player 😡😡😡😡. It's went to being very hot in Scotland to extremely humid over the past two days. Our wether U.K wide has been absolutely bonkers this year utter nuts our wether this year. Scotland & Norway hands across the sea I love all Scandinavia we have much income culturally. You look after yourself.
This is excellent news! Once Disney owns all of Hulu, they will really be able to unlock all of their streaming potential!

Don’t forget we also got Indiana jones too. Hopefully that one will come out on Disney+ in October
Very interesting that both Carl’s Date and the making of elemental will come to Disney+ on September 13 as well. That’s great! I can’t wait.

Summer during Christmas. Give that a try lol
Carl's date was kind of funny. Especially what happened between Carl n Doug near the end of the short.
Great updates thanks Roger
Grey’s Anatomy is currently on Netflix in the United States. But, lately, it’s been on Netflix’s “Watch For A While “ row.
now they can replace star with hulu overseas

With all of the cuts in budget do you think we see more traditional voice actors in animated films
Jennifer Lee seems like such a passionate woman. Walt Disney Animation Studios sounds like a fun place to watch at in general.
So is everything on Hulu right now going to be on Disney+? Because I have some shows that I like to watch does that mean I’ll be going to Disney+?
Not everything I guarantee Universal is going to take all their stuff off of there they're basically just paying for Disney Plus at that point
I think, especially in light of the Hollywood strikes, getting this piece of business behind them is beneficial for Disney and Comcast.
As Disney+ reduces its reliance on Marvel and Star Wars I think the five/six hubs that form the centrepiece of its branding will make less sense and eventually be reduced to mere categories and brought down from the top row of the UI, something like Max's Brand Spotlight.
Hey Rodger what do you want to see in episode 5 of Ashoka?
